HOW MUCH DESPAIR?

How much despair will you allow in this realm?

We are outnumbered by our sufferings,

You remain silent during our plight.

How much is too much, my Lord?

I know I don’t have the right

To question your response.

I don’t doubt you-

You are my refuge and my hope.

I am merely a frail vessel,

A shadow of the price you paid.

I pray for the day when you appear,

What a triumphant sight to behold!

I pray for the day when evil is overthrown

And the Enemy is cast out forever.
