INTERRUPTIONS

How dare you steal the silence?

Your audacity is a bit unnerving!

Are you unaware of my undying need for solace?

You disregarded my boundaries

You have defeated my spirit

And left me alone to cower in defeat.

I suppose I could be a warrior

And survey my strategy.

I could embrace what little bit of silence

The Lord allows me in this moment.

I could set aside my reflection for another time.

The day is young

But I might get distracted and forget.
