PICKING A FIGHT

Come and join my apathy

Gather 'round at the travesty!

There's nowhere to go except backwards.

Life's little curve balls,

Audacious spoken words.

Do you see the people as they laugh?

They feast their eyes upon my discontent.

The people sing and dance-

They love to frolic where I lament.

I'm a master at this illusion

I'm relishing in my misery.

I can't take much more!

The scoffer wants a fight.

I can't take much more!

Let darkness flee from my sight!
