PITY PARTY

I held myself a pity party

For all the bit parts I played

I wanted to revere my pain

And gain a little notoriety.

I gulped down booze

And I painted my eyes black

I chain-smoked cigarettes

Every day of the week.

I can look back now and laugh

It’s hysterical to look upon my desperation!

I can look back now and weep

For all the misery I’ve inflicted.
