POURING RAIN

The rain was coerced into pouring

Man manipulated her tears

I recall the clouds forming

As the sky faced her fears.

Weeks ago she lamented

Her delicate balance disrupted.

Weeks ago she regretted

Her precipitation corrupted.

Her tears flowed fervently

Forever it rained!

Dark-gray, disturbing

And a bit unsettling.

I long to see her smile

To cast my gaze up high

To breathe light once in a while.

But I still adore the rain.
