The Tortoise and the Crab: Part 4

 

 

Now,

The crab was a criminal

He thought about where to go

But....

There was no where he could think of

To hide

So,

He decided

To go to Mr. Hare’s place

He walked in though the door,

To greet Mr. Hare

“Crab, what have you done?! It’s all over the news!!”

“Ya, sorry about that buddy, I kind of accidentally gave him one punch too many, sir.”

“How many punches did you give him, Mr. Crab?”

“Errr....just one, sir.”

“Oh, you rascally crab, you!!”

“Ha ha!! Yes, I know I am, Sir Hare! But don’t fault me for it, all right?”

“Ok, alright, Mr. Crab. Did you pick up and depose of the body?”

“Errr....NO. My bad, Hare.”

“WELL GODDAMN IT, CRAB! KINDA A BIG PROBLEM, DON’T YOU THINK?!?!”

“Yes, well, I’m sorry, sir.”

“They could trace it back to you, which might also lead them to me!!”

Hare sighed.

“Yes, I’m really, really sorry.”

“Ok. Whatever, Mr. Crab. Sit down and have a drink with me.”

“Thanks, Hare!!”

And so, crab and hare had a drink together

On the old, worn, peeling couch

With the rats and mice inside

And that’s how

The story of the tortoise and the crab

ENDS
