Makers of shadows
Burn light in the dark and behold a star.
Cut shapes out of darkness,
make a follower,
teach it to stick to your soles.
Call it “disciple”.
...
Nay, they called him a shadow.
They learned to follow leaders.
When the leaders rose higher,
they stuck to the soles of their feet.
They called themselves ‘civilization’.
They call themselves,
but they shouldn’t.
...
Teach your shadow compassion.
Teach your shadow to rub gently against the ground.
Teach your shadow to follow you only if you’re worthy.
Teach yourself that a shadow must be taught,
not used!
