Water and steam
I leave this world in the embrace of warmth
to pour on it with fury,
and here I am, a part of the sky,
with eyes beholding my majesty
in awe.
These birds flock to
trespass my incandescence
in the light
of street lamps,
before dawn,
when dreams soar
not far below me.
A hand,
willing to choke the sunlight,
holds me above
destruction.
