Artist

An artist happens when you

strip away

Everything but the soul and

allow it to experience

Things that it shouldn't.

Paths

The more you see in others,

The deeper you see into your

soul.

We are all spirits.

We have the same thoughts

and feelings.

Good medicine

What hurts you?

What gives you pain?

What makes you weak?

If you have found it

incurable,

It's not a cure you seek.

It's a path.

Journey

We are always on a journey.

When we accept our path,

We are happy.

You can never leave your

path.

It's always a journey.

Learning

Not all your lessons are so

easy.

Not every lesson can be

written down.

You can't always explain it.

The truth lives silently,

Within you.

Goals

When you lose sight of your

goal,

You're not lost,

Just still.

When your vision clears up,

You'll see your goal,

And move again.

They both shine

Some people are sun people,

Vibrantly blazing,

Bright and strong.

Some people are moon

people,

Soft pale,

Quiet and loving.

The earth needs both a sun

and a moon.

Position

Your instincts are stronger for

a reason.

Don't worry whether or not

they are judgmental.

Know your place.

Without looking down on

others.

Price

Knowledge comes at a price.

To truly know good,

You must know bad.

To know love,

You must know hate.

Wisdom is not a punishment,

But a series of tests that force

you to learn and grow.

The Pain

The pain will teach you.

If you forget a lesson,

You will relearn it.

Nothing will fix what

happens.

Don't think you are above

your own lessons.

Accept them.

Time

Live for the moment.

Don't worry too much about

the future,

Nor dwell in the past.

Make new memories.

Hole

If you cannot trust them,

Can you love them?

If you cannot see their center,

Do they have one?

If you only know half the

truth,

What do you know?

If you don't know what the

truth is,

Are you living a lie?

Find Truth

The truth is not always as

colorful as a lie.

With years of truth from

loved ones lips,

A lie from a stranger’s vulgar

mouth,

Sets blaze to trust that once

was.

And stands ash,

So brittle that even the wind

shatters it.

Rushing

I want to learn,

What I need to learn,

So that I can be free.

I want to learn to be free of

paths,

And pain.

Destination

On life’s long road,

Do you know where you're

going?

When your mind and your

heart,

Are going in separate

directions,

You don't more anywhere.

Laws of my life

I need bones to hold me up,

And skin to hold me together.

There are good forces and

bad,

Stay away from both and

their fury.

Stay on the path or veer from

it,

Either way, learns.

Don't ask for forgiveness

until you forgive yourself,

And likewise with love.

If you’re stressed, upset, or

sad,

Let the earth recycle that

energy,

And thank her.

Don't be conceited,

But have pride.

Be strong enough to say no,

And nice enough to say yes.

Don't hurt people.

Don't be everyone’s teacher,

Some things weren't meant to

be taught.

Be loyal and faithful.

Listen to your spirit,

The earth,

And her spirits.

Do what you know/feel is

right.

Don't get upset if some

people don't understand,

Some people won't and that's

okay.

Love everything even if you

don't understand it.

Other people are different,

accept it.

Think about other people’s

feelings and minds.

Don't reject anyone,

Everyone can teach you

something.

Know your beliefs,

It's okay to change them but

keep what you truly believe.

Love all paths,

They have lessons to teach

too.

Have goals and reach for

them.

Don't use love as a weapon.

Ask for help when you need

it.

Wonder

I sit and wait.

I wonder now,

What the future will bring to

me.

What lessons,

What fortune,

What pain.

I sit and wait.

Quietly wondering,

In between the busyness,

Momentarily unoccupied.

Keep Learning

Our elders are still learning,

While they teach us.

As you learn old ideas,

Keep learning.

As you learn new ideas,

Keep learning.

An open mind learns,

And keeps learning.

Be Careful

Try to love even if you can't

trust.

But be smart,

And careful with your heart,

And your mind.

Detachment

When my mind is free,

My soul is light,

All answers are revealed.

When I'm alone,

All is right,

And all my wounds can heal.

When I am strong,

My mind can see.

Taboo

Blur the lines.

Blur your limits.

Discard all taboos.

Always try to see things

differently.

Try new things.

Explore new ways.

The road to peace is filled

with understanding and

change.

People

There are angry people.

People that don't listen.

People that don't care.

People that don't understand,

and don't want to,

There are hypocritical people.

And stubborn people.

And you can't change them,

But they can change you,

They can teach you.

Necessity

Which is needed most to

thrive,

Spiritually and physically,

Change or balance?

To change, balance must be

disturbed.

To balance, change must be

disturbed.

The Human Experience

Sometimes,

You would be surprised,

People feel the same as you.

Others can most often relate.

Sometimes they won't admit

it.

We are more similar than we

want to believe.

We are all one.

Patience

Be patient.

The words will come.

The lesson will be learned.

Don't rush yourself to learn it

or say it.

You will need the rest that

comes to you.

You will need it slow

sometimes.

Basically

Some people will only learn

basics,

Enough to get by,

To survive.

But those who look for a

deeper meaning,

Will find it.

Possibilities

Amazing things happen every

day.

The very good and the very

bad,

And the most important,

The unbelievable.

Every day,

Believe the unbelievable,

And use your intelligence.

Because every day,

Anything can happen.

Wise

A wise person opens their

mind,

And tries to understand even

if they don't believe

And they continuously add to

their wisdom.

Lucky

Being inspired and being

taught are different.

Inspiration brings new

knowledge.

Teaching brings old

knowledge.

Being inspired and being

taught are different.

But I'm thankful to have both.

Alone

On this path,

You generally walk alone,

Because there are few who

understand,

And fewer who understand

enough to walk with you.

It gets lonely.

It gets frustrating.

Don't give up,

If this is who you really are,

Don't turn your back on

yourself.

Even if others turn their backs

on you.

Experiences

Experiences bring

knowledge,

And a clear view,

Of problems, solutions, and

danger to come.

Experiences,

Bring knowledge,

Knowledge brings truth.

As your body gets older,

Your soul gets stronger,

It gets smarter.

Accept

There are things you can't

change.

Things you can't fix.

Things you can't understand.

Accept that sometimes things

are,

Far more complicated than

they appear.

There are things you can't run

from.

Things you can't say,

And works you can’t finish.

You just need to accept them.

Betrayal

Trusting and caring for

people,

Who only want to hurt you,

Is being an enemy to

yourself.

Learn to love your enemies,

Without betraying yourself.

Stay

The only way to be with

someone forever,

And not betray or leave them,

Is to become part of them.

It's a spiritual connection.

World

Not everything that happens

to you is big.

The world is big,

And its problems are big.

Control

How dare we touch people,

Without permission,

Or hurt them,

Or tell them what to do,

Or what not to do.

How dare we judge them,

Or injure them,

Or kill them.

Who's really out of control?

Who do we think we are?

Where are we going in lives

like this?

Morals

What's right?

What's wrong?

Maybe those things are just

beliefs,

That individuals hold.

Some things are generally

accepted as right and wrong,

But that doesn’t make them

so.

If you change your

perspective,

It changes you.

Think

Time has no real meaning.

You can learn a lot in a short

period of time,

And a little in a long period

of time.

You can learn in ways you

never thought about.

More than one way to think,

More than one way to live.

We are all smart for where

we are in life.

Don't waste it.

Life is not the minutes,

Or hours,

Or days,

That we count it down by.

With rules

To pursue a person who is in

love with another,

Is to seek to destroy love,

hope, and dreams.

Becoming an enemy to all

three.

And an enemy to the one you

seek,

And their mate.

Run away

Run from your problems.

Run away from your pain.

Run from your fears,

Your troubles,

Your disasters,

And they will find you.

To Know

When you learn how to make

something,

Or how it works,

You know how to destroy it,

Or improve it.

Evil holds all weapons.

Good holds all defenses.

Speech

I can't communicate

everything I want to.

Language both enables me,

And prohibits me,

From speaking my mind.

Hypocrisy

Life is hypocrisy.

I say what I think is right.

And what is right in one

situation,

May be wrong in another

situation.

Trial And Error

We think we know it all,

Until we learn something

new.

We think we are strong

enough,

Until another tragedy shakes

us.

We think it cannot get any

worse,

Until it does.

Rebelling

My mind is rebelling.

It will not focus.

It will not be logical.

It will not listen.

It will not stop thinking.

My mind is rebelling.

Know

I don't understand exactly

what you're saying,

But I know exactly what you

mean.

The world speaks a strange

language.

Listen to language,

And be confused and lost

more than ever.

Listen to the meaning,

And understand.

Just a Suggestion

Don't let emptiness take you.

Don't let anything or anyone

take you.

Don't let your escapes

consume you.

Don't be fooled by the

attractive form of evil.

Don't let it into you.

Don't let it become you.

Don't be lied to by beauty.

Don't get drunk with

emotions.

Don't let lies seep into your

mind and slip out your

mouth.

Don't be the human that fails

us all.

Fear of Love

Will you cower in the fear of

rejection,

Or the fear of pain?

Can you really prevent

feelings,

That you can't control?

Feelings that can't even be

properly defined?

Can you ever stop loving,

Once you have started?

Can you give up on

something,

That will never give up on

you?

Can you deny someone else,

The pleasure of being in Love

with you?

Can you deny yourself,

The pleasure of being in Love

with someone else?

Fear should never overpower

love.

Love is more important,

Cowards don't deserve it.

Filling

Fill the emptiness.

Fill yourself with kindness,

Love,

Integrity,

Honesty,

Self discipline,

Respect,

And knowledge,

All the way to the top.

But never spill any of it.

Fill your mind with dreams,

And make them real.

Build them into a high

towering fort surrounding

you.

Strengthen the walls with

hope and determination.

Always have a door to let

people in.

And always have windows to

look out from.

Photographs

If my poems become

photographs of you,

They belong to you.

It would be wrong to say

these are my words,

If you have inspired them

I will give you, your

photographs,

When I'm done writing them.

Understanding

I have a hard time

understanding,

Why things are the way

things are.

And why they have to be this

way,

And not other ways.

Are there better ways?

Who will bring them?

And who will change those

ways?

Anxiety Attack

An unexpected surge of

energy fires toward me.

Forcing my mind to speed

through,

And my heart to race.

Unable to fight back,

Because I don't know what it

is,

Or where it came from.

I wait until it releases its

grasp.

Lost Ancestors

Your ancestors won't fight for

you,

If you don't fight for yourself.

They won't protect you,

If you don't protect yourself.

And why should they make

an effort,

For someone who has already

decided to give up?

Love and Hate

Love and pain are the same.

Hate and Love are opposites.

But Hate and pain are the

same.

Logically that would mean

that hate and Love are the

same.

But only Love can bring

happiness.

Table of Constants

The inner constant,

Slowly changes,

It changes less often.

The outer constant,

Changes fast,

And often.

The outer constant is less

resistant to change.

Sponge

I will not walk around you.

I will not die to please you.

I will walk through you.

I will absorb the pain.

It will not cut or bruise me,

But for a moment shiver

through me,

And then be gone forever.

I will not fight you.

But I will not walk around

you.

Reading

Read your poems to me,

And I can look inside you,

And feel what you feel.

Read your poems to me.

Show me your soul,

And I will Love it.

Hearing your poems over and

over again in my mind.

Feeling you in my heart,

Writing circles into my soul.

Impress Me

You say the most profound

things,

And you don't notice it.

Your words fall perfectly into

meter,

And you don't see it.

You're always better,

But it's only average to you.

You impress me with our

conversations.

Rich with unintentional

poetry,

Never to be written down.

Feeling

All feelings matter.

But don't feel sad and

worthless all the time.

You don't deserve that.

What did you do that was so

evil?

Let me hear what you have

been carrying around with

you.

Let me help you.

Another Love Poem

Do I Love you?

Or do I Love who you are?

Or what you do?

Or how you act?

Do I Love you because you

Love me?

And do you Love me?

Are we really capable of

Love,

When actions, words,

decisions or personality,

Can get in between us,

And separate us,

Destroying the love?

Taking Orders

Don't tell me what to be,

Or how to act.

Don't tell me what to feel.

Don't tell me what games to

play or when to play.

Don't tell me what I should

think.

Don't tell me what my morals

should be.

I am myself.

And that's all I will ever

allow myself to be.

I will always change,

But not for you.

Scattered Messages

If I can be wise sometimes,

Why not all of the time?

Why does wisdom run like

water through my fingers?

Why does it have to

disappear,

Or reappear?

What do I have to learn,

So I can keep wisdom

Insomnia

I want to sleep.

I want rest,

But I won't get it,

Only short breaks,

Followed by a push into my

next lesson.

It doesn't matter what I do,

Everything will keep moving,

And force me to as well.

It doesn't matter whether or

not I want to move.

Writers Block

Emptiness creeps into my

poems.

And suddenly the words are

nothing,

But foolish ramblings.

Something to be embarrassed

about.

Something I will hide from

everyone,

Except you.

Sleep

When I sleep my soul leaves

me.

Out one last breath,

And it is resting in the sky.

Sleeping on the moon.

Bathed in the stars.

Then in the morning,

The sun wakes me.

My soul returns,

And with a snarled crackling,

I start to breathe again.

Wasting Time

Don't waste my time with

arguments.

Don't scatter my thoughts

with your mind games.

Don't paralyze me with

confusion.

Don't judge me or jump to

conclusions about who I

really am.

Don't over analyze everything

I do or say.

Don't lie to me or about me.

Don't waste your life with

those things.

There are more important

things to do.

Bound

I do not want to be bound.

I do not want to be restrained,

Or tamed.

I do not want the confining

rules of reality.

I do not want to be a weaker

diluted version of myself.

I want freedom.

It's Raining

It's raining outside.

The roof leaks,

It always has.

It keeps raining.

The water is dripping and

running down the walls.

I'm standing in it.

Now all the water,

It's around my ankles and

slowly rising.

As the room gets filled up,

The house creaks.

Strange unexpected noises

shout at me,

From unseen places.

The small cracks in the house

get bigger.

Water starts to fall out,

But not fast enough.

The wall collapses,

And I run out,

Before the roof falls.

Love

Love is neither positive nor

negative,

Because it is both.

In order to Love one part of

life,

You have to Love all of it.

And to Love one person,

You have to Love everyone

they could become,

And everything they could

do.
