The House Plant

The plant breathes in carbon dioxide air.

The plant's been there taking in all the scenes.

Her owner has bleach-blond peroxide hair.

The plant needs watering to have her share,

Looking on as her owner eats fresh beans.

The plant breathes in carbon dioxide air.

The great plant photosynthesizes bare,

Thirsty as her owner the dishes cleans.

Her owner has bleach-blond peroxide hair.

The owner knows her plant is dry and there,

As she waters her, the plant dreams oceans.

The plant breathes in carbon dioxide air.

The quiet plant believes her owner's fair,

She wants to know what her host's chatting means.

Her owner has bleach-blond peroxide hair.

She talks to the plant to show she does care,

The plant responds to this and slowly leans.

The plant breathes in carbon dioxide air.

Her owner has bleach-blond peroxide hair.
