The Mountain Goat

The cute little goat leaps from rock to rock.

The little goat lives for fresh mountain air,

Over the steep mountain slopes it may fare.

The kid's rhythmical pace is a clock,

Second by second, he moves like tick-tock.

With movements light and free, he has no care,

Blissful moments, stubborn, determined, rare.

With light steps, to the mountain tops he'd flock,

He stops to stare at the valley below.

The kid sees more mountains at the outback,

A poignant and beautiful scene, he'd know.

From the mountains, he could all the sights track,

The valley across, a simmering glow.

The small kid sees it, he's taken aback.
