A Surprise Kidnapping

They took me through the streets in a blindfold,

Right then, I had no idea who they were.

They'd said:  'Walk straight ahead, do as you're told.'

Scared of the events that would manifold,

A voice familiar, sounded like a purr.

They took me through the streets in a blindfold.

They said, 'Keep walking.'  Their voice sounded cold.

A material brushed me, what felt like fur.

They'd said:  'Walk straight ahead, do as you're told.'

We came to a door, they opened it bold,

I contemplated what events would occur.

They took me through the streets in a blindfold.

They took the blindfold off, released their hold,

'Happy birthday!' They cheered, 'And good future!'

They'd said:  'Walk straight ahead, do as you're told.'

Crowds of my family and friends of old,

What a birthday surprise!  What a stir!

They took me through the streets in a blindfold,

They'd said:  'Walk straight ahead, do as you're told.'
