DANCING PALM TREE

So cold in my bed I laid,

Thunderous sounds paused my dreams,

Too soon I rose to my feet,

From my window panes I beheld the wind,

So mighty it scared my little soul,

What a wind it was.

In my trouble I saw a wonder,

To the wind a noble heart complied,

A palm tree listened to the sound,

So sweet and melodious in its ears.

Soon the dance began,

Dancing palm tree in the wind,

Twisted and turned its little waist,

So wondrous a sight to behold,

As I smiled in my wonder,

If I could join the dance floor,

Such a wonder it would be.

TO THE PEAK.

Built in love,

Made to be the best,

A little boy so strong,

Made so loving,

Like a special one.

Am the knight of the day,

The dark of the night,

Watch me as I fly,

When I go to the peak,

Look into me now,

Watch my haters fall,

To the mountain peak I go.

The best of my kind,

Am the star in the night,

Am the peak of the Everest,

Watch me light my world,

Am the offspring of love.

I am the little knight,

Created to protect the light,

The hope of Christ to spread,

The salvation to preserve.

Take my little hands,

If thou love me so,

My good friend be thou,

Fill my heart now,

Love me as a Child.

In skies beyond,

Where the angels praise,

Holy places divine,

Where my God stays,

There rest my soul at last,

Laid to rest beneath the skies,

When missions are fulfilled,

Then lay me here,

The offspring of love.
