Beneath The Bell Jar

"The Nothing noths" about me,

My world muted by innocuous jar.

Try to search world beyond me,

I am blocked by invisible wall.

The actress sings fine melody -

Her lonesome call cannot reach,

The numb charade of merriment,

My decorous portrait bleached.

'Daddy, won't you wish me luck?'

'Daddy, aren't you there?'

You, the brute in boots of black,

You, with scowling, unseeing stare.

I always thought I would fly,

Like the Cuckoo in the air.

But now I've decided to say 'goodbye',

By disappearing to nowhere.
