A Final Appeal

(November18, 2012)

Come out of her MY people. You must not take part of her sins and you must not share in her punishment! (Revelation 18:4)

There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know. Don’t all the Bible totters know that the Bible is the word of God and cannot not be broken and will not pass away until every bit is fulfilled or accomplished. (see Matthew 5:18)

The whole world is deceived by the works of Satan and his demons. (see Revelation 12:9)

How does one awaken a people out of darkness, confusion and thorough deception? Is it even possible? Look at what extremes God has to go to in order to teach people or turn their hearts away from hypocrisy, falsehoods, lies and deceptions and to Himself and His Son Jesus. He has tried cursings and blessings, most often nothing seems to work.

This call from God for people to come out of her is for the last days. It is a final appeal or rather commandment. It is the last warning. It is found in the book of Revelation in the 18th chapter, near the end of the book. This book of Revelation is full of end time prophecy, the end of the age of man’s rule and Satan’s rule and the onset of the Kingdom of God with Jesus as the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

John 12:44-50 (NASB)

And Jesus cried out and said, -He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me. And he who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me. I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness. And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me (The Lord of the Sabbath. Matthew 12:8), and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him (Mathew 12:27); the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me commandment, what to say, and what to speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.

And who is she that Jesus tells the people that they must come out of? It is the fallen Babylon the great (Revelation 18:2). Babylon the great is the Mother of harlots and abominations of the world (Revelation 17:5). Mother here refers to a religion. What one religion is great in the world today? It is the Roman Catholic Church, it has over a billion members. Which church has many offshoots? It is the Roman Catholic Church. The harlots are the many other denominations that follow the main lead of the Roman Catholic Church of using the Bible and the name of Jesus in vain to mask a myriad of abominations. Abominations would include any lie, contortion of the truth or deception devised by any man or member of any of these organizations and the pagan festive observances that they adhere to. (For clear detailed insight into this pagan religion read The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop or Babylon Mystery Religion by Ralph Woodrow also From Sabbath To Sunday by Samuele Bacchiocchi and Holidays or Holy Days: Does It Matter Which Days We Keep? By United Church of God (UCG)). Islam would also fit the description of the abominations of the world.

Evil dominates for now but good will soon conquer evil because God is good. (Matthew 19:17)

A few might believe the words written here and turn to the ways of God. Most however will need to see Babylon actually fall before they believe and change their ways. God knows their stubborn hearts and knows what it will take to convince them and convert them. Even still, I fear, there will be some who will not repent.

Remember what Jesus said -On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and observe it. (Luke 11:28)

Revelation 1:3 (NIV)

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

The broad road of the main religions of this world are not the way to go. The teachings of Jesus the God of the Old Testament and the rest of the Bible are.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NASB)

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

John 3:36 (NASB)

He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

Matthew 7:13-14 (NASB)

Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.
