    Very often a low libido in women is caused by low testosterone. The adrenal glands produce testosterone, but they can be inhibited by an under-active thyroid (a very common condition in many women). People who regularly eat cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, etc) are much more likely to have an under-active thyroid, and this indirectly affects libido.     Book written to sell "patches" and then heavily marketed through out the book. A shame really....
