CHAPTER ELEVEN

THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY

Re:19:10: And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The New Testament in written from a particular viewpoint, so that any other perception contains contradiction. This viewpoint is heretical as we have seen.

Ac:24:14: But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

The heresy spoken of by the apostle Paul above is the same heresy brought about by an understanding of the mystery of god. This mystery is solved once the reader adopts the spirit of prophecy in searching through the scriptures. We search the scriptures in order to find the truth and the meaning to stories that are otherwise preposterous. Knowing that miracles do not just happen and cannot be worked we need to understand their spiritual significance. As mentioned earlier, to claim preposterous miracles, flies in the face of truth and common sense. What manner of person is it that does such a thing?

2Th:2:11: And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

We know that the public opinion of such foolishness is ridicule and loss of credibility. It is far better to pursue heresy than ridicule at least heresy allows us to remain pure and uncorrupted by misleading miracles.

1Tm:3:9: Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

Ti:1:15: Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

The spirit of prophecy is a willingness to read the metaphors that protect the shroud or covering of the mystery of god without necessarily believing them at face value. But this is not the age when such behaviour needs to be continued. This is the end times when the mystery of god is to be revealed, not further sheltered.

1Pe:1:5: Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We, our generation, are those who will reveal this truth of the New Testament to the whole world as the Lord wished it.

1Pe:4:13: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy

Such a revelation is well documented in the books of the New Testament. It is said to come with fervent heat or with fire remembering that fire is argument over the word of god.

1Co:3:13: Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Ro:1:18: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

The fact that every church holds fast to the miracles and absurdities of the Testament is proof that the end times are here. The revealing will continue until everything is made transparent. Then there will be nowhere to hide from the Spirit of Truth that is as adamant and hard as stone.

2Pe:3:10: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe:3:12: Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

The above verse warns us that the heavens will be dissolved and will pass away and this we have seen through the mystery of god outlined above. Again it says the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night because we will feel robbed of the heavenly treasures we hoped to receive.

1Th:5:2: For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Re:6:9: And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Re:6:10: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

We read in Revelation the above plea for this end time revelation to happen as soon as possible. This is because the spirit of truth is now very easy to prove.

We live in a world of science. Truthful facts are all around us and the secular world is everywhere. The church is hard pressed to maintain itself in the midst of all the secular evidence of truth. In order to survive, the churches are resorting to re-inventing Christianity with expressions of charismatic magic. There is little if any truth in their sermons on Revelation and the second coming of Jesus. We have already seen that the heaven of the New Testament does not exist in any physical form. Jesus’s return therefore will be a revealing of the scriptures wherein He will be re-introduced to us.

2Th:1:7: And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Lu:17:30: Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

There will be no glorious spacecraft or apparition in the skies for the Lords return; instead there will be an ongoing argument over the validity of the New Testament. This argument or fire will be raised by various church groups in defence of their own charismatic testimony of what constitutes truthfulness.

The Spirit of Truth is a willingness to reveal the truth and this is sometimes the cause of much pain and anguish.  The process of revealing truth demolishes misconceptions. This can be painful depending on how much value is placed on the misconceptions that are destroyed. There is always a loss it might be that our ego is hurt or perhaps we have put so much store in the misconception, that all our faith is put to the test. This is what is meant to be proved by ten days.

Da:1:12: Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

The book of Revelation offers much insight into how religion is practised and the way in which it backslides.

Here are some of the prophecies with notes of metaphor and imagery implied.

Re:6:12: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake(mankind quake); and the sun (represents miracle worship) became black as sackcloth of hair (gives no enlightenment), and the moon (truth) became as blood (worldliness);

Re:6:13: And the stars (prophets) of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree(place of worship) casteth her untimely figs(worshipers), when she is shaken of a mighty wind (theology).

Re:6:14: And the heaven departed as a scroll (revealed to be the bible) when it is rolled together; and every mountain (religion) and island (church) were moved out of their places.

Re:6:15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks (churches) of the mountains(religions);

Re:6:16: And said to the mountains (religions) and rocks (churches), Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Re:6:17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

The arrival of wormwood in the following verse indicates a prophet (the star) called Wormwood. Wormwood brings the little book which reveals the mystery of god to humankind.

Re:8:10: And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

Re:8:11: And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Re:10:9: And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

Re:10:10: And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

This is the little book of Wormwood which brings with it an explanation of the mystery of god and reveals the loss of the misconception of what god and heaven represent.

Re:11:3: And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Re:11:4: These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Re:11:5: And if any man will hurt them, fire (argument) proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Re:11:6: These have power to shut (prove heaven does not exist) heaven, that it rain not (Rain is preaching the word of god) in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters (spiritual life force) to turn them to blood (worldliness), and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

This prophecy predicts that argument over the meaning of the word of god arises. We see this in ‘fire’ which issues from their mouth as argument. The fact that they cause the rain (preaching) stop and that they can convert the spirit of life to worldliness testifies of the wormwood doctrine.

Re:12:1: And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman (religion) clothed with the sun (miracles), and the moon (truth) under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars (government by twelve apostles or prophets):

Re:12:2: And she being with child (Christianity) cried, travailing in birth (Baptism), and pained to be delivered.

Re:12:3: And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon (This also represents the religion Christianity), having seven heads and ten horns, and seven(seal of god) crowns(authority) upon his heads.

Re:12:4: And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.(baptised)

Re:12:5: And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Re:12:6: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.(This is the time duration of the prophesying of Wormwood)

These verses tell how Christianity; the woman, travails in the birth of Baptism. The great red dragon (also Christianity) devours or indoctrinates the child as soon as it is born. Baptism is a continual process and that is why she is in such travail. The true child which is eventually born (from baptism) is caught up unto god knowing the truth to the mystery of god.

Re:12:12: Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

This statement merely confirms that the mystery of god has been revealed by the fact that the Devil is cast to the earth.

The next chapter of Revelation explains how a faction of the religion arises to enforce their beliefs onto human kind. It is described as a beast which performs all manner of miracles in order to persuade the people of its divinity. This beast has a number for a name and the number is 666.

Re:13:11: And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Re:13:12: And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Re:13:13: And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Re:13:14: And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Re:13:15: And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Re:13:16: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Re:13:17: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Re:13:18: Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

In chapter fourteen we see the Lamb on Mount Sion with the hundred and forty four thousand who had the Father’s name written on their foreheads.

Re:14:1: And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Re:14:2: And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

Re:14:3: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

Re:14:4: These are they which were not defiled with women (religion); for they are virgins (like Mary mother of Christ). These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Re:14:5: And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Re:14:6: And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Re:14:7: Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Re:14:8: And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

These sung a new song before the throne which is obviously a new opinion on the interpretation of the word of god. This gives them the everlasting gospel to preach to the world. We know that the mystery of god is finished because the ‘hour of judgement’ has come. A further example of the end time is that Babylon is fallen. Babylon stands for all Christianity which is committing idolatry by worshipping miracles and promoting magical cures for all manner of ailments which have no truth to them.

Chapter fifteen merely sets the stage for the remaining plagues which are yet to befall the earth (humankind).

In chapter sixteen we see the threat ‘behold I come as a thief”.

This warning is iconic of the mystery of god being revealed. It goes on to mention nakedness which is atheism before god.

Re:16:15: Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Re:16:16: And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Re:16:17: And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

In verse seventeen we see that the great voice from heaven saying ‘It is Done’ appears. This means that the mystery of god has been fully published and made known throughout humankind.

Re:16:18: And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake (human quake), such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Re:16:19: And the great city was divided into three (truth) parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon (religious confusion) came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Chapter seventeen tells us that religious confusion (Babylon) was ‘drunken’ with the blood of the saints and martyrs of Jesus. This refers to the same beast which devours the children as soon as they are born of earlier chapters. The fact that “it was and is not and yet is “ describes god. This is the description of god as it is seen from an honest point of view without the trappings of idolatry. Such a view of god is not unlike the same vision of Satan. It exists to many people who believe so but in fact it doesn’t exist at all. It is and yet it is not and goes into perdition. This can only be achieved through the revealing of the mystery of god.

Re:17:5: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Re:17:6: And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Re:17:7: And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

Re:17:8: The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

After reading the mystery of god one wonders ‘whose names were not written in the book of life’ or if there even is a ‘book of life’. In the next chapter we learn that Babylon has fallen.

Re:18:2: And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon (religious confusion) the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Re:18:3: For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Re:18:4: And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

This chapter is straightforward saying that religious confusion has been defeated by the revealing of the mystery of god from the little book called wormwood from chapter ten. There is a plea in verse four to ‘come out of her my people’ meaning that people should come out of the religions that practice idolatry.

Re:18:24: And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Chapter eighteen ends with the lament that in her were found the ‘blood of the prophets and saints’. This is further evidence that Babylon was religious confusion.

Re:19:1: And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

Re:19:2: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

Re:19:3: And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

So we see an end to bigotry and idolatry brought about by the mystery of god being revealed to the world.

The Book of Revelation of John is so descriptive that many things can be seen in it. There are of course alternative conclusions that a person can come up with. I’m sure that it will keep seekers of truth searching for a very long time. The mystery of god has an outcome which leaves us destitute of belief. There is no god to be found in any heaven for god is within us. We are god as shown by Jesus Christ through the adoption of the spirit of god. This Spirit in people is a real attribute of being human and it makes its presence known to us. There can be no denying of the Spirit of Truthfulness; or the Spirit of Prophecy; or the Spirit of Worldliness or the Spirit of God which replaces our knowledge with truth rather than what can be imagined.

The mystery of God defeats dogma by purifying our thoughts and mindset to be wary of idolatry. All the time we call on God to answer prayers or ask for cures or intervention for any reason we commit idolatry. We should seek nothing in our prayers, just as Jesus guided us to the Lord ’s Prayer, which is a prayer that asks for nothing but our daily bread (scripture).

M't:6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

M't:6:10: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

M't:6:11: Give us this day our daily bread.

M't:6:12: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

M't:6:13: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
