Many Christians believe that Christ will whisk them away to Heaven, before, or during the Great Tribulation at the end of the Age of Man. Is this belief based on the Bible though? A few people have made a lot of money out of the rapture story, but unfortunately, it’s another deceptive teaching. It’s a craftily designed doctrine which could prove to be very damaging to those who believe it. This fabricated myth is easily dis-proven, if one does some basic research instead of blindly swallowing whatever a human tells them. Many millions are counting on this lie being true. Could this be the cause of the ‘falling away’ when it’s realized that they won’t be raptured away from the Tribulation? Will their faith be shattered? Will they give up on GOD?
If this teaching is not from GOD, it must be from the Enemy, so it calls for diligent research. “Prove all things” and “Test the spirits.” If someone is teaching something contrary to the Bible, they are being deceived by a lying spirit, so watch for more lies, and check out their fruits also. It doesn’t matter how much they smile, or how eloquent, charismatic, funny, or personable they are, if they are teaching lies and refuse to see, maybe separate from them? Just a few facts we should note: - “On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.” Zechariah 14:4 This is the Day of the Lord, at the end of the age/era of man’s rulership. Verses 1-9 are all discussing the same event.
“Then people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. He will send out his angels, and from every direction under the sky, they will gather those whom God has chosen.” Mark 13:26-27. GWT. The chosen are not gathered until His return. Notice in Christ’s own words, His chosen are on the Earth! And people will see His coming. It won’t be a secret. There is nothing that Christ has written that could be construed to indicate that He will come and ‘rapture’ some to Heaven. It is a figment of deceived minds, led by Satan. It lulls them into thinking they don’t have to watch and prepare because Christ is going to whisk them to safety away from the Tribulation. They’re asleep like the foolish virgins.
