CHAPTER 11

THE HOLY PLACE REPRESENT OUR SOUL

Meditating on the WORD of GOD, praying in tongues, and receiving revelation from the Holy Spirit is a three way self-reinforcing virtuous cycle. The more revelation we receive, the more we want to meditate on the Word, and the more we meditate on the world, the more we want to pray in tongues, and the more we pray in tongues, the more revelation we receive. It is a perpetual circle of communion between us and God. I like to pray in tongues with a notepad and pen because I like to write down revelation from the Holy Spirit as it comes to me.

THE HOLY OF HOLIES

Next we see the third and final step to becoming a fully mature son of God.

Heb 9:3  And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

Heb 9:4  Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

Heb 9:5  And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

Heb 9:6  Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

Heb 9:7  But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

The Apostle Paul illustrates that the Levitical Priesthood was only a shadow of the heavenly priesthood. Jesus Christ is our heavenly High Priest and He has brought His own blood into the Holy of Holies and has become a propitiation for our sins.

Propitiation – G2435, hilaste¯rion, hil-as-tay'-ree-on

Neuter of a derivative of G2433; an expiatory (place or thing), that is, (concretely) an atoning victim, or (specifically) the lid of the Ark (in the Temple): - mercyseat, propitiation.

Jesus Christ is the MERCY SEAT! If we start from the beginning of our salvation, we see that Jesus Christ provides EVERYTHING required for salvation, the manifestation of the sons of God, and the revelation of Jesus Christ in us! In the outer court, He IS the altar of burnt offering and He paid for our sins, He IS the Laver who cleanses us from all unrighteousness. When we enter into the Holy Place of the tabernacle, He IS the communion table (the bread and wine) where we experience fellowship, He IS the lampstand which gives us revelation, He IS the table of incense interceding to the Father for us. Finally, we enter into the Holy of Holies and we see He IS the Ark of the Covenant!

1Jn 2:1  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1Jn 2:2  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

The Apostle John said that he is the propitiation for our sins and for the sins of the whole WORLD!

World - G2889, kosmos, kos'-mos

Probably from the base of G2865; orderly arrangement, that is, decoration; by implication the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively [morally]): - adorning, world.

All of creation has been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb! Not only did the High Priest bring blood into the Holy of Holies, he brought a censor of incense into the Holy of Holies and placed it before the LORD.

Lev 16:12  And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:

Lev 16:13  And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

When we pray in tongues, the LORD Himself is interceding for us before the throne of the Most High.

If you want to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of speaking in tongues, you simply need to ask God. God desires greatly that everyone receive His Holy Spirit so that He can have fellowship with you in spirit and in truth.

Luk 11:11  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Luk 11:12  Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Luk 11:13  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

I sought the baptism in the Holy Spirit for a long time. One day I went to a revival meeting, and the man of God asked if anyone would like to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, I went up and He laid hands on me…nothing happened. I went back to my seat and I was praising God and thanking Him, but I was wondering, “How come I wasn’t baptized in the Holy Spirit?” As I praised God …OUT LOUD…everyone else in the building was praying and praising God, suddenly I started speaking in tongues…I was so happy! Everyone has a different story but if you do not receive the baptism right away keep knocking, keep asking, keep seeking, eventually God will baptize you in His Holy Spirit. You might also ask people who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit to pray with you.

We know therefore that ALL the Feasts of the LORD have been accomplished by Jesus except the final Feast. Let’s take a closer look and see what the LORD has in store for us.

BE SANCTIFIED BY GOD

(Feast of Tabernacles)

REST = SUPERNATURAL PROVISION + RESURRECTION POWER

(Manifestation of Jesus Christ by Miraculous Power or Dunamis)

The most important attitude we must cultivate is the attitude of REST. We must be certain that when Jesus Christ said, “IT IS FINISHED!”… He made a statement of fact. There can be no argument, Jesus Christ saved us AND he gave us his life and righteousness. His death on the cross paid for the sins of the whole world. He reconciled us back to God! We cannot add or subtract from what Jesus has already done. This is pure doctrine, this is unleavened bread, this is THE GOSPEL!

Heb 9:3  And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

Heb 9:4  Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

It is interesting that the objects in the Holy of Holies appear to correlate with the objects in the Holy Place but on a more mature level: 1) The bread and wine in the Holy Place correlates with the pot of manna in the Holy of Holies; 2) The menorah correlates with Aaron’s rod; and 3) The Ten Commandments correlates with the altar of incense.

Manna represents supernatural provision for the children of God in the wilderness. Elijah, a widow and her son are supernaturally provided for during three and one-half (3 and ½) years of drought; Jesus bless a few loaves and fishes in the wilderness and feeds 5000 men plus women and children. Jesus is the bread sent down from heaven!

Aaron’s rod represents the resurrection power of God. Elijah resurrected the son of the Zarephath widow; Jesus resurrected three people during His three and one-half (3 and ½ ) year ministry. God will one day resurrect the Church to reign with Jesus Christ on the earth!

The ten commandments represents God’s perfect justice. However, the commandments were placed within the Ark of the Covenant and beneath the “mercy” seat. It signifies that God’s mercy should be our main focus as His children.

Mat 23:23  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

God gave me a revelation of how the death of Jesus Christ paid for all of mankind’s sins. Let us look at an example in the Book of Hebrews:

Heb 7:1  For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

Heb 7:2  To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

Heb 7:3  Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

Heb 7:4  Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Heb 7:5  And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Heb 7:6  But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Heb 7:7  And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

Heb 7:8  And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Heb 7:9  And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

Heb 7:10  For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

The Apostle Paul says that Levi, Abraham’s great grandson, paid tithes in Abraham before he was even born. Also, according to the New Testament, we are born sinners because of the original sin of Adam. When Adam sinned, all of his descendants also sinned because they were in Adam. It would appear that God is between a rock and a hard place but Jesus Christ is the answer. When Adam sinned, he had to pay with his life because the penalty of sin is death. However, because of his sin, he could not be a perfect sacrifice, he was blemished and so are all his descendants…except one! God provided a lamb without blemish!

Gen 2:17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Not only must Adam die but all of his descendants also must die because we are all born sinners. However, we are all blemished sheep and even our death cannot be a truly acceptable payment for our sins. How then can we be delivered?

The answer is Jesus Christ! Adam originally came forth from Jesus Christ:

Col 1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Col 1:14  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Col 1:15  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

When Jesus Christ was crucified, he paid for the sins of ALL mankind because originally we ALL came from him. Jesus created Adam, therefore he was not contaminated by Adam’s original sin.

img10.png

    JESUS                 →                          ADAM                                ALL OF MANKIND

      img11.jpg                                        img12.jpg                               img13.jpg

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, he is the progenitor of ALL THINGS, when Jesus died, we ALL DIED! When Jesus was resurrected, we were ALL RESURRECTED because we all originally came from Jesus Christ!

WE ARE HIS CHILDREN! All through history parents have laid down their lives for their children, it is unthinkable that the Father of us all would not also lay down his life for His children.

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

However, in order for us to apprehend the finished work of Jesus Christ, we must first REST! We must FIRST CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD! We must BELIEVE that we died when He died and we must believe that he has made us a NEW CREATION in HIM!

Rom 6:6  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Rom 6:7  For he that is dead is freed from sin.
