FOREWARD

Ecc 1:9  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Ecc 1:10  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

There is a type of Bible interpretation called “Typology”. Although fundamentalist bible believers actually believe that the whole bible is a true account of actual people and actual events, we also believe that God perfectly orchestrated Bible stories to foreshadow future events. The people and events recorded in the bible are described as “types” and are considered to be allegories of future events. An allegory is a person or thing that represents a bigger idea or theme that occurs later in the bible. This method of Bible interpretation is specifically mentioned by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians:

Gal 4:22  For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

Gal 4:23  But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

Gal 4:24  Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

Gal 4:25  For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Gal 4:26  But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

There are multitudes of allegories throughout the Old Testament regarding our Lord Jesus Christ. ALL the allegories regarding Jesus Christ also are allegories regarding the Church because the Church is the body of Christ. Bible publishers will often place a small star next to a Bible verse in the Old Testament where writers in the New Testament have specifically said the Old Testament scripture is a direct reference to Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul mentions that the Exodus 17:6 allegorical Rock is a reference to Christ: “for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ” in I Cor. 10:4.  Our Lord Jesus mentions the manna in Exodus 16:15 and says: “For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world” referring to himself in John 6:33.

More importantly, the Lord himself says that the days of Noah and Lot are ”examples” or “allegorical” to his second coming:

Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Luk 17:27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Luk 17:28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luk 17:29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

I believe there are many more significant allegories in the Bible dealing with the End Time Saints of God (the last days Church) and this book is my attempt to discuss a few of these allegories revealed in both the Old and New Testament.

I also believe the Church will go through the great tribulation. I am not trying to be controversial and therefore I hope and pray you will not judge this book too quickly or harshly but will search the Bible with all readiness of mind and let your spirit discern whether or not what I am writing is the truth or not.

You might ask, “Why doesn’t the Bible plainly say that the Church will go through the great tribulation?”

I believe the Bible does plainly say that the Church will go through the great tribulation. Also, the Bible plainly explains to the saints of God how to survive the great tribulation. The lion’s share of the Church’s body is living today and I believe most of us will go through the great tribulation. If the saints living today will study the Bible and the many “examples” of saints going through tribulation, they will know exactly how to endure the great tribulation and how to triumph over the powers of darkness, which will be revealed during the last three and one-half years (3 and1/2) of great tribulation.

God told the Prophet Daniel that His words were closed up and sealed till the time of the end. See Daniel 12:9. I believe that the end is here and God is opening His word like never before in history.

God is not playing games, He wants the whole world to be saved and He is talking to everybody who will listen.

Amo 3:7  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

However, it appears from the path that the world is currently on that few people are listening. I hope and pray that this book will help people to listen to God more and to the world less.
