MASK

People tend to disappoint me by the way they act,

All the masks they wear and self-worth they lack.

It’s hard to tell the real person inside,

They fake it so much they can’t even decide.

One day they’re her the next they’re you,

Trying so hard to fit in they got everybody confused.

If you look into their eyes you can see all the rain,

They laugh and joke so they don’t feel the pain.

They say” a woman should be seen and not heard”,

But when you’re wearing many masks this seems absurd.

Feels like I’m in a nightmare, living in hell,

Bound to a place with nothing but cells.

Women with no more sense of morals in their background,

Hating the world because their fears keep them bound.

Wanting so much to fit in and look cool,

Not knowing that they’re only looking like a fool.

People keep them around so they can laugh for awhile,

Laughing at how stupid they look and how they fake their smile.

Women wearing different masks in so many different places,

They deserve an applause, no a standing ovation.

For all the scenes they act and all the roles that they play,

Wolves in sheep clothing, an evil price they will pay.

Always be yourself and learn to make yourself laugh,

Be a leader not a follower and create your own path.

Wear the mask you were born with at birth,

Be yourself and who cares what people think on this earth.

Let your haters be your motivators and make your enemy your footstool,

Keep your head high, walk with pride and watch God make you rule.
