Seven Tactical Approach to a Fruitful Evangelism

Treating your children the same way isn’t wisdom because each has a different temperament and personality. How you treat your cat may differ from how you treat your dog because they are different.

You don’t prepare jollof rice the same way when preparing rice water. In the same way, evangelizing one way isn’t wisdom. Wisdom demands that you use different methods when approaching specific tribes.

When I enter a place to evangelize, I apply wisdom. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, I use different strategies and tactics when preaching the gospel. I want to share some of these tactics with you because they work. Below are the top seven tactical ways to evangelize.

1. Fictional approach

Christ Jesus used this method during his ministry on earth. Sometimes he used parables (wise sayings) when preaching the gospel. You can use stories while evangelizing to make the evangelism effective.

I mean, use true stories to make your evangelism solid. Christ Jesus knew the power of parables, so he used them to get people's attention. In the same way, using parables and true stories during evangelism will make your evangelism fruitful.

2. Judgmental approach

Apostle Paul used this method of evangelism during his ministry on earth. This evangelism requires strength because you speak to the face of the people or the person you are evangelizing.

This evangelism is more effective when preaching to demon-possessed people and religious hypocrites. In this method, you mention the sin of the people or the person listening to you.

Let the people know the danger and punishment for the evil they are doing.

Judgmental evangelism is effective when you follow your teachings and obey the Word of God (the Holy Bible). Like Christ Jesus, he used this method when he encountered the unrepentant Pharisees, Sadducees, and religious people.

Using this approach produces results because your words penetrate the heart of the hearers.

Using this approach without a holiness and righteousness lifestyle can make your evangelism ineffective because people can weigh your spirit and soul. You must be a lover of God.

Sanctification must be part of you because people will monitor you when preaching this way.

3. Sympathetic approach

Apostle John used this method of evangelism during his ministry on earth. When evangelizing, you speak from the deepest part of your heart. Speak with loud emotions. For example, you can sing when preaching the gospel.

Preach to the person or people like you to understand their condition. Preach like you feel the pain of the people or person receiving the Word. Preach calmly and politely. Let the person know that you care about her whiles preaching.

Preach like the person is part of your family. If you can cry, cry a little to make the person know you are serious. Let evangelism be more of an encouragement. This evangelism is effective when approaching extremely emotional and poor people.

4. Biblical approach

This method demands that you back up your sermons with Holy Scriptures. Let your sermons be full of the Word (Holy Bible). When your sermon is full of the Word, the people hearing you will trust your sermons. The power within the Word will break those with hardened hearts. I occasionally use this approach when preaching the gospel.

5. Experiential approach

In this approach, you use your life experiences to let others know Christ Jesus. You tell the people how you got saved. You let the people hearing you know the blessings you have enjoyed since you gave your life to Christ Jesus. Using your life experiences and people’s experiences makes your evangelism trustworthy because people love to hear true stories.

6. Power approach

This approach demands spiritual power. As you preach the gospel, decree blessings from the Word of God. You are likely to sweat when preaching with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Preaching with the power of the Holy Spirit makes your sermon authoritative because the Holy Spirit is the leader.

As led by the Holy Spirit, reveal some secrets of the person hearing you. Christ Jesus used this approach when preaching the gospel. Make prophetic declarations when preaching. It makes evangelism more fruitful—the people or person hearing you will feel the power of the Holy Spirit. I occasionally use this method when evangelizing. It works wonders. The people will respond to you with all their hearts, mind, and body.

7. Logical approach

Logical evangelism is when you use common sense, scientific shreds of evidence, and knowledge when delivering the Word. This approach is more effective for knowledgeable people. Using logic to preach the gospel makes the people agree with you. I often use this method when preaching to tertiary students and knowledgeable people. It works.
