I talked about my past and present. This entire time that I gave my "speech", which was maybe 15 minutes, I had the attention of these people and they applauded me. Once I was done, the meeting was over and I went outside. I had several men chase me down outside and ask me how to access my books since they were very inspired by my message. They thought my 4 step process was correct:
Faith Truth Soul Ego
The next day I was contacted by a commoner among the homeless shelters...the Bishop. He told me that he had 40 years invested into the AA groups and Christian churches are their sponsors, and that Christianity is their strength...while I oppose their efforts. He asked me to stay away.
Rather than change to become wiser, stronger, and better...we choose that which serves us...ego and the easy way out. My tiny speech made a big impact and they are now worried about losing their hold onto the past. It is a pretty big deal to be abe to walk into an AA meeting and get cheers and applause, and men chasing me down to get more information about me, and for me to pray for them.
Christians are satisfied with the current condition of mankind. When I come walking along, and if I get their attention, they are worried. They do not want me to be an influence in their life. They are afraid that one of these things may be a problem now:
Truth is here and may hurt them
The anti-Christ is here
This is just one huge example where I was witness to humanity being selfish, ignorant, and afraid. Hate is the bottom line. It is a shame that humanity does not deal with the bottom line. That is a prime example of our lack of spirituality. The Act Of Giving displays the opposite of ego, and our ability to choose the soul over the ego. One way is to choose Giving over taking.
What the Christian faith needs is a brave new leader to go in new directions, and not stop with the Bible. That action alone will make miracles begin because it would stop us from using our faith for ourselves, then we could continue the 4 step process to achieve enlightenment.
