We can either give for the glory and awards of man, or for the glory and reward of God. God’s rewards are much greater and last so much longer because they carry past the grave.

When we freely give, the feeling we receive is God given. It is the way He has made us because it is the way He is.

Just as we try to give our children things that make them happy as well as making their life fuller, God desires to do this to us, and when we do freely give, He loves to reward us.

And the best part is He has promised to give back to the giver more than the donor gave, a reiteration of Malachi 61
