Jesus Christ claimed Himself to be the “Aleph” and the
“Tahv” of the Hebrew Alphabet when He said that He is the “Alpha”
and the “Omega”, the first and last letter of these respective alphabets.
(Revelation 1:8). This may not seem significant at first glance, until we understand the gravity of the Hebrew Alphabet and, who Jesus is declaring that He is. Rabbi scholars call the “aleph and tahv”, “the word of creation”, and that these individual letters comprised the attributes of Elohim. Jesus Christ is the “Logos” or the “Word” who is made up of individual letters. You cannot have the Word without the composite of letters, therefore, Jesus Christ is the “Word” and He is the “Aleph/Tahv”. When a person learns the foundation of the spoken word language, the first step is to learn the “A, B, C’s”. When we begin our quest to know and understand the spoken Word of God, disciples must first learn their “Aleph, Beth, Gimel’s”, letters of the Hebrew Alphabet. Where do we find these fundamentals? Psalms 119
happens to be the central chapter of the Word of God, and it should be at the center as the heart of the Word, since it contains the individual letters that make up the Word. Jesus is the Word, He is the
“Aleph/Tahv”, the first and last, the beginning and the ending, as He stated in Revelation 1:8. Let’s take a look from a Hebrew perspective at the meaning of each letter since Jesus claimed to be the entire Alphabet, the “A” to the “Z”. Before we do, there are some 190
differences between alphabets and the Hebrew Alphabet. Jewish teachers have given specific symbolism to each letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. The author wil not attempt an exhaustive study of this matter, but a brief and general meaning of the symbolism of the letter.
Each Hebrew letter also has a gematria or numerical value that was used as their number system also. Some al ude to this gematria to be a mystical pollution of the Word, but there is truth to this method that some have used in error just as the Mazzaroth or Zodiac has been perverted in astrology. Basic truth is God is the “Great Mathematician” also, whether we regard it or not. He is the
“Wonderful Numberer” or “Revealer of Secrets” as He only numbers the stars in heaven. We in the United States have the English Alphabet and the Arabic numeral system “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0”. In the Hebrew, the letters stand for a certain number, which is the numeric value. This is also true concerning the Greek Alphabet as to which are the only two languages, to the author’s knowledge, that have these particular traits of gematria. When a Hebrew wanted to say the first letter of the alphabet, he simply said “Aleph”, whereas we would say
“A”. However, when the Hebrew desired to say the number “1”, he said “Aleph” since “Aleph” was the first letter of the alphabet and has a gematria of one. There are
22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet standing for Light, the number of the 22 bowls of the Candlesticks in the Holy Place. Jesus is the “Word”
Jesus is the “Aleph/Tahv”. When we look at Psalms, Chapter 119, the center chapter of the Word of God, we notice that each division of the 22 Hebrew letters have 8 verses which are juxtaposition with a singular letter of the alphabet. Jesus Christ is the Aleph through the Tahv, the complete Word of God.
“Aleph” is the first letter of the Hebrew Alphabet meaning
“One, Creator, King, One and Only Omnipotent God”. Aleph is the Master letter proclaiming both the Name and Divinity of God. It is both the “Echad”, meaning One, and the “Yachiyd” the Unique, Sole,
“Only One”. Jesus is the Aleph.
“Beth” is the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet which 191
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God means “House”, and has a gematria of “2”. It means the holy Temple and is the number of blessing and creation. The first two Hebrew words of Genesis 1:1 is “Bereshit barah” meaning “In the beginning created”. Two is the letter of union, division, and witnessing. If we obey the Lord we wil be blessed, and if we disobey the Lord we wil be cursed; you cannot serve God and Mammon. It is one or the other.
However, two speaks of revival as seen in Hosea: “After two days wil he revive us”. (Hosea 6:2a). Jesus is the Beth, the house or temple of blessing for His children.
“Gimmel” is the number “3” and means “bridge or camel”, to nourish until completely ripe which speaks of the harvest of God. Its symbol is kindness and speaks of Jesus’ loving kindness and goodness.
Gimmel has a gematria of three which is the resurrection, Divine culmination or completeness. Jesus had a three-fold witness from a voice from heaven, a three-fold temptation in the wilderness, Jesus raised three from the dead, was crucified the third hour, with three hours of darkness, and resurrected on the third day, and speaks of the resurrection of the saints in Hosea: “in the third day he wil raise us up, and we shal live in his sight.” (Hosea 6:2b). Jesus is the resurrection and the life.
“Daleth” is the number “4” and means “door”. Four is the handiwork of God in creation and the world. Four phases of the moon: 1st Quarter, New Moon, Last Quarter, Ful Moon; Four divisions of day: morning, noon, evening, night; Four tides and the Four Winds from Four Regions: North, South, East, West; Four elements: fire, water, earth, air; Four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Jesus stands at the “door” and knocks in Revelation 3:20 and is the “door”: “I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shal be saved, and shal go in and out, and find pasture”. (John 10:9).
“He” is the number “5” and means “the Name of God” and in Hebrew means to turn to God in repentance. “He” is the Breath of God and is the Spirit of God. “5” means “Grace of God” referring to His mercy. Jesus Christ is the Name of God as noted by John: “And I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of 192
the world”. (John 17:6a). “And I have declared unto them thy name, and wil declare it.” (John 17:26a) “For this cause I bow me knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.” (Ephesians 3:14,15). Al the family of God takes on the name of God in baptism called by God’s own name, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the “He”.
“Vau” is the number “6” and is a prefix conjunction linking or connecting various ideas. “Vau” means “hook” and joins heaven to earth, God to man, by the Mediator, the man who is God, Jesus Christ.
According to Jewish scholars, “Vau” is the physical completion, redemption, and transformation. Jesus Christ is the man who is God that is the “Vau” that links God to man. Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration showed forth this transformation: “And after six days, Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them; and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light”.
(Matthew 17:1,2). Jesus is the “Vau”.
“Zain” is the number “7” and is the letter of the “spirit” and means “to sustain”. It refers to the point of focal point as the center of peace. “Zain literal y means “weapon or sword” as the real point of sustenance and struggle. “and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:17b). “and his name is called The Word of God.” (Revelation 19:13b) “7” is the number of spiritual perfection, and to be complete. Jesus Christ is the Word of God; He is the “Zain”.
“Cheth” is the number “8” and means “transcendence”, into the heavenly life. It symbolizes man’s ability to transcend the limitations of physical existence into the metaphysical Divine. “8” is the number of the “new birth” or being “born again”. “Therefore if any many be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, al things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus is the
“life”.
“Teth” is the number “9” and means “good”, but also means
“a serpent”. It is through trials and temptations that the believer grows in faith. “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing 193
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5). Jesus is the Holy Ghost. Rabbis say that by the letter “teth” is diminishment, fol owed by enlargement.
“Yod” is the number “10” and means “hand, thrust, creation, heaven as the deeper spiritual realm”. The name of God as “Yah” is
“Yod” plus “He”. “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.” (Revelation 5:1) “Yod” is the hand of God and speaks of His thrust in creation. Jesus is the “Yod”.
“Kaph” is the number “20” and means “palm, power, to suppress, lift up, crowning accomplishment”. Jesus Christ is crowned with the royal diadem of many crowns as KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:16).
“Lamed” is the number “30” and means “to teach or to learn”
and is the tal est letter in the Hebrew Alphabet. “Come unto me, al ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I wil give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shal find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30). Jesus wil teach us al things.
“Mem” is the number “40” and means “water” and “40” is testing or trial. “Mem” is the symbol of the revealed and the concealed.
Jesus Christ wil reveal his secrets unto his servants. “Surely the Lord God wil do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7). This refers to the work of Jesus Christ in the office of the Holy Ghost.
“Nun” is the number “50” and means “heir to the throne, faithfulness, fish, emergence, soul, enthroned God”. Jesus Christ is the enthroned God, the heir of al things. “Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” (Hebrews 1:4). Jesus is the “Nun” as the name of Jesus is the Father’s name manifested.
“Samech” is the number “60” and means “Divine Presence, 194
support, protection, memory”. Jesus is our protection and support as written. “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18). “let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus is the
“Samech”.
“Ayin” is the number “70” and means “eye, sight and insight”.
“And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into al the earth.” (Revelation 5:6). Jesus Christ is the “Ayin”.
“Pe” is the number “80” and means “Mouth, here, present, speech”. Jesus is the Word of God (Revelation 19:13). Jesus is the
“Pe”.
“Tzaddi” is the number “90” and means “righteous and humility”. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.” (1 John 2:1). Jesus Christ is the “Tzaddi”, the
“Righteous”.
“Koph” is the number “100” and means “holiness, the holiness of God”. “For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.” (Hebrews 12:10). Jesus chastens His children that we might be partakers of His holiness or Divine nature. Jesus is the
“Koph”, the “Holy One”.
“Resh” is the number “200” and means “the wicked”. In a positive sense, one wil overcome the Wicked one in a trial, in a negative sense “resh” is literal y the tempter. Jesus wil destroy al the wicked at the white throne judgment (Revelation 20:11). Jesus became sin who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
“Schin” is the number “300” and means the two names of God “Shaddai and Shalom”. El Shaddai is God Almighty and Jehovah-195
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God Shalom is God our peace. This is Jesus Christ. “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8).
Jesus is the “Schin”.
“Tahv” is the number “400” and means “Truth, God is the Eternal King, in the infinite past, present and future”. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). Jesus Christ is the “Tahv”, the King who is Eternity manifesting eternal Truth.
The author realizes the meanings of the individual letters of the Alphabet have only been discussed in the briefest realm as concerning their shapes and sizes, along with their gematria, with the actual definitions and meanings only scratching the tip of the surface. For centuries Jewish scholars have taught that each of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet is a reflection of God’s creative power and His essence. Taken col ectively, the Hebrew Alphabet as a whole speaks of God’s attributes and not of the persons of God as some would have us to believe. The main objective of the author is to reflect on the basic meaning of each Hebrew letter as it pertains to Jesus Christ, the Aleph/Tahv; the One Person of the Godhead who has many attributes.
As we have concluded in the Elohim of God, God is a singular Entity with plural Attributes. Jesus Christ is this Creator being the
“eht” or the “Aleph/Tahv”. “Know ye that the LORD he is God; it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalms 100:3). Jesus Christ is the Creator that is LORD Jehovah, the Elohim.
Let’s examine the “shema” recorded by Moses: “Hear, O
Israel; the LORD our God is one LORD”. (Deuteronomy 6:4). But David proclaims in Psalms: “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool”. (Psalms 110:1). This verse by David seems to be in contradiction to the
“shema” of Deuteronomy 6:4 because it seems to set forth two Lords.
Here are a couple of observations. First, David pens the first time he 196
writes, “LORD” with al capital letters, while the second time he uses smal letters, “Lord”. Why, would one ask? After al , Paul declares to the church at Ephesus: “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and father of al , who is above al , and through al , and in you al ”. (Ephesians 4:4-6). Clearly Paul states that there is only one Lord. Secondly, it appears that Jesus Christ is separate from the Father, because He as Lord is told to sit at God’s right hand, until His enemies are made His footstool.
Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew spoke of the same scripture that is written by David in Psalms 110:1. “While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, til I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions”. (Matthew 22:41-46). Before, the Pharisees and Sadducees both had asked Jesus questions attempting to tangle him up in His talk (verses 15,23). Jesus had answered their questions and then said that He had a question to ask them. He then proceeded with the same verse that David had written about Him in Psalms 110:1. Jesus asked the Pharisees, “who is Christ’s Father, or whose son is Christ?” They quickly replied, as most people do today who do not have the revelation of Jesus Christ, that Christ is the son of David. This is true that Christ is the son of David, but this is only the flesh form or portion of Christ (Romans 1:3). They did not see Him as God that He is, believing Him only to be the seed of David according to the flesh. LORD spelled with al capital letters refers to God, Jehovah LORD, the Spirit, God Almighty, Yahweh.
Lord, with smal letters, refers to the flesh as the seed of David as Master or Adonai. Jesus Christ is indeed the son of David according to the flesh, but He is also the LORD that is Spirit that dwells in that body. Let me explain by al uding to John’s writing: “I Jesus have sent 197
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”.
(Revelation 22:16). Root is the Greek word “rhiza”, from where we derive the word “rhizome”, which literal y means root or origin. Your roots or family tree wil go back to your father, to his father, and to his father, and so on. The root is the origin or originator, the person or thing that brings something into being. Therefore, the root is the originator or father, and the offspring is the seed or child. Jesus is stating that He is the root (the Father), and the offspring (the son) of David. How can Jesus be both the Father and the son of David? This is essential y the same question that Jesus asked the Pharisees and they could not answer Him. Neither can man today answer Jesus, except the Holy Ghost reveals it to them. Jesus is the Root of David because He as the Person of God is Spirit, He is the Father Who originated or created David. But He is also the Son of David because He was born of the virgin Mary whose descent came from Jesse, the father of David, according to the flesh or humanity. LORD, al capital letters, is the Spirit, God Jehovah, Yahweh, the Almighty God. Lord, with smal letters means “Master” and pertains to the flesh according to the seed of David. Jesus Christ is the Father, because He is that Spirit; and He is the human flesh that His Spirit dwells or houses in permanently.
To reiterate the revelation, the Word of God proclaims that there is One Lord, not two or three, only ONE. (Ephesians 4:4-6).
Jesus Christ is the LORD and the Lord; i.e. the Father God or Spirit, and the flesh or son of David. “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof”.
(Revelation 5:5). Yes, He is both the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world, and He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The Lamb is the sacrifice that was offered upon the cross of Calvary; the Lion is the glorified Jesus coming to take vengeance upon a sinful world.
Someone wil say that the Lamb is separate from the Father, and that they are two different and distinct persons citing the scripture.
198
“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”
(Revelation 5:1). “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into al the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”
(Revelation 5:6,7). Some wil declare that this surely proves that there are two persons, the Father sitting on the throne with a book in His right hand, verse 1; and the Lamb who came and took the book out of the hand of Him that sat upon the throne. Before we are presumptuous, let us examine the facts that wil reveal the truth of the two offices of the One and Same Spirit of God. In Revelation Chapter 4, verse 2, only One is sitting on the throne which is singular, meaning there is only one throne present. “And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone, and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.” (Revelation 4:3). This is none other than Jesus Christ like a “sardine stone” which is the Greek of the “sardius stone”, which was written upon the breastplate of judgment on the tribe of Judah, because He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Jesus Christ is in sight like unto a jasper stone which was upon the breastplate of judgment on the tribe stone of Naphtali meaning
“My wrestling”; because His wrestling was the cross of Calvary in His death. The jasper denotes “cross” while the sardius denotes “praise”
due to Jesus because of the cross. The emerald stone was written upon the breastplate of judgment on the tribe of Simeon, meaning, “to hear”. Everyone that is worthy of the first resurrection wil see and hear the work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and wil praise Him throughout eternity. “The four and twenty elders fal down before him (not them) that sat on the throne, and worship him (not them) that liveth for ever and ever, and cast down their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for thou hast created al things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11,12). “Who is the image of the 199
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God invisible God, the firstborn of every creature; For by him were al things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible; whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; al things were created by him and for him.” (Colossians 1:15,16). Who is sitting on the throne? None other than Jesus Christ, Himself, the Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
We cannot deny that this is Jesus Christ because Jesus claimed to be the Almighty: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, which was, and which is to come, the Almighty”. (Revelation 1:8). With that in mind, we wil consider the Lamb that is supposedly different from Him that sat on the Throne in Revelation 5. It is stil the same Person sitting on the throne as previously affirmed; nothing has changed. No one else has come and unseated the Lord and took the seated position instead of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, Jesus Christ has in His right hand a book sealed with seven seals. Here He is revealed as the Person of the Spirit, God in His glorified flesh, sat down on His throne having redeemed mankind back to Himself. He is seen with the Biblion, or the Word of God. Then we see the Lamb as it had been slain and suppose that He is different in Person from the Father who is seated on the throne. But this is not the case. The Lamb taking the book from Him that sat on the throne verifies this. (Revelation 5:7). Then the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, they sang a new song. “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation”. (Revelation 5:9). Who was slain? The Lamb, Jesus Christ was slain. God shed His own blood to redeem mankind. “Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”
(Revelation 5:13b). Who is sitting on the throne? The same Person that was sitting on the throne in Revelation Chapter 4 is the same Person stil sitting on the throne in Revelation Chapter 5, who is Jesus Christ the Lord. If that is true, then God shed His own blood through his human body of flesh, since His Person is the Spirit that He is, in His 200
glorified Body. That is exactly the declaration of the scriptures in that the Lamb, who is Jesus Christ seated on the throne, was slain and redeemed us to God by His own blood. “And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and al that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and the sea, and al that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” (Revelation 5:13). Jesus Christ is set down with His Father in his throne, the Lamb is set down with the Father in the same throne. Not a different throne in heaven, but the same throne. The same Jesus Christ that is seated on the throne in Revelation Chapter 4 is the same Jesus Christ that is seated on the throne in Revelation Chapter 5. The Lamb is the sacrifice or flesh of God that has been slain, raised from the dead, glorified, and made both Lord and Christ because He is worthy. Jesus is the Lord or Federal head of a new race and Christ as the Messiah ben David that wil never die because of His glorification. This is because He is the Lord God of heaven that came down from heaven (John 3:13) and made Himself a body of human flesh. (John 3:16) He then died on the cross shedding His own blood redeeming us out of al nations making us kings and priests unto the Lord our God. (Revelation 5:10). “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to al the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28). Whose blood is Luke referring to in this scripture, the blood of God or the blood of the Holy Ghost? This is the blood of Emmanuel, God with us in a human body of flesh. The Lamb of God is the redemptive office of God as the Son of God, while the Father is the Administrator in the Theocracy of God. There are not two Persons of God, but two roles or offices of the One and Same God.
Many quote John 3:16 and do not understand the meaning of the only begotten Son of God, the “Yachiyd”. Consider John’s statement. “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren”.
201
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God (1 John 3:16). Who laid down his life for us? John is referring to God laying down His life for us through the body of His human flesh by the shedding of his blood. For this statement to be true, the human body of Jesus Christ would be deemed or attributable to God’s Person because of the permanent dwelling place of His Spirit. However, the manifestation of the Spirit as the Father is only seen through His body of flesh and blood, who is the Son. The Son was separated from the Father only on the cross of Calvary due to the flesh and body of God as His permanently dwelling place was turned into sin. The Son had done nothing worthy of death being the spotless sinless Lamb as the sacrifice, therefore, death could not hold him in the grave guaranteeing the permanent dwelling or housing of the Spirit of God again by the resurrection and fol owing glorification of His body. The Person of God is the “Yachiyd” of God, the singular God, not referring to His attributes as singular, but to His singular, only one, unique Person of God as Spirit manifested in a human body of flesh and blood with infinite attributes. And God laid down His life for us, since the body of His express image died on the cross proving His undeniable love for us. The Spirit of His Person as God did not die on the cross, but the body of His express image did die on Calvary. Therefore, the Person of God has a Spirit form and a human form. The human form or aspect of Jesus died, not the Spirit form or aspect of Jesus. Christ in glory is the Father. Christ in His humiliation is the man Christ Jesus, the Spirit who made himself “of no reputation” in order to work salvation by Himself alone as a man. Then went back to His former glory as Christ. (Acts 2:36).
Let’s discuss the express image of His Person for a moment.
“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.” (Colossians 1:15). God is invisible since He is a Spirit. If the author were to tell you that a spirit just came into your room or area in which you are reading this book, would you be able to see the spirit?
No, because the spirit is invisible. So is the Spirit of God, He is invisible. God’s wil was to manifest or reveal Himself to the world, but the Spirit of God is invisible. Therefore, God must make Himself 202
an exact copy of His Person in a body of human flesh to reveal His exact divine nature, so He can be seen or revealed. Jesus Christ is the express image of the Person of God, the image of the invisible God.
“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding al things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:3). The “express image” is from the Greek “charakter”, meaning “a graver, the character, the figure stamped, i.e. an exact copy of representation”. This is synonymous with the English “character” meaning “an individual’s pattern of behavior or personality, essential quality, nature”.85 To make an express image of a vintage coin, it would be necessary to cast a die using the vintage coin so as the impression bears the exact image produced by the vintage coin and vice versa. Al the features of the vintage coin’s image express or correspond respectively with those of the vintage coin. You and I are in the image of God, but we are not the exact character or exact representation of God. We are not the “Yachiyd” of God. We are sons of God if we have repented and been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and received the Holy Ghost with the outward evidence of speaking in tongues. But we are not the “only begotten Son of God” who is the exact character of God, being the express image of His Person. This is none other than God manifested in the flesh as a human being. “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16). Who was manifest in the flesh? God was! Who was justified in the Spirit? God was! Who was seen of angels? God was! Who was preached unto the Gentiles?
God was! Who was believed on in the world? God was! Who was received up into glory? God was! Who is God? Jesus Christ is God who was manifest in the flesh, the express image of the invisible God.
Therefore, God made His Spirit a body of earthly elements with a soul and human spirit to manifest Himself to the world, otherwise He could 85 Webster’s New World Dictionary College Edition 203
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God not be seen and recognized for who He is; i.e., God. Sin had a hold on Jesus’ natural human flesh, but not on his character. Look what the book of Hebrews declares about the Son of God, the express image of His Person; not the second person of the Godhead, but God Himself being manifest in human flesh. “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne O God, is for ever and ever; a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And Thou, Lord, in the beginning has laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands; They shal perish; but thou remainest; and they al shal wax old as doth a garment; And as vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shal be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shal not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not al ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shal be heirs of salvation?”
(Hebrews 1:8-14). This is the revelation of the Sonship of Jesus Christ, or the “Yachiyd” of God, the only begotten Son of God as God in His redemptive office which of necessity requires flesh in order to die as a sacrifice. God calls His Son, God and He is to be worshipped.
(Hebrews 1:6). You and I are sons of God, but we are not to be worshipped because we are not the “Yachiyd” of God. Because God, in the express image of His person, God manifest in human flesh, loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore God (the Spirit), even thy God, hath anointed thee (the human body) with oil of gladness above thy fellows. This speaks of the flesh of God, that even though God had made Himself a human body, the flesh was to fulfil the law and al prophecies concerning Him as a natural human being.
Stephen saw the Lord standing on the right hand of God, the same as we discussed in Revelation Chapter 5. Let’s examine Luke’s account of this incident: “But he, being ful of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”
204
(Acts 7:55,56). First, the word “right” is from the Greek “dexios”
meaning “the right side or (fem.) hand, as that which usual y is taken”.
“Hand” is from the Greek “cheir” from the base of “cheimon” (to pour, through the idea of a channel) in the sense of its congener (a person or thing of the same kind, class, race, genus); and from the base of “chasma” (to gape or yawn; a chasm, or vacancy, impassable interval, gulf) through the idea of hol owness for grasping); especial y from the Hebrew “Yod”, a means or instrument; hand. There is a great revelation in the hand of God that passes al physical or mental exercises of human reasoning. Going further, the “hand” in the Hebrew is the “Yod”.86 This “Yod” is the “hand of God” and is the number “ten”. The Greek “dexios” refers to this Hebrew “Yod” as a
“means or instrument”. We must further explore the “Yod” in order to understand the ful meaning of “the right hand of God”.
“Yod” is the tenth Hebrew letter and has a gematria or numerical value of ten, the basis of the decimal system, a significant number. The author wil not attempt to exhaust the ful extent by which the number “Yod” or ten is used in scripture, but wil try to give the basic concept of “Yod” so as to understand the meaning of
“hand”. Ten is the number of testimony, the number of the commandments that God gave to Moses, to which we as a government of the United States have a basis of law and order. The hands are made up of ten digits or fingers, thus the “Yod”. There were ten plagues upon Egypt, ten virgins, the overcomer wil rule ten cities, ten generations from Adam to Noah which brought the judgment of the flood, and the perfection of order or succession in creation. Rabbis teach that with the letters “Yod” and “He” form the name of God,
“Yah”. The order of creation is characterized by the “Yod”, not only in the present, but in the future as well, as the continuing creation held together by the Word of His Power, His Hand (Hebrews 1:3). The
“Yod” is the first letter in the name of “Yahweh”, the “Yod” appears between the two “He”. The “He” in Hebrew writings is sometimes used as an abbreviation for God; i.e. “He” or “breath” al udes to the 86 Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible H3027
205
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God Spirit of God. The “Vau” or “Vav” in the name of “Yahweh” means
“hook” and links or joins things together and is the number “6” for man and his transformation. The “Vav” links heaven and earth together, God to man, through the man who is God, Jesus Christ, the only begotten, the “Yachiyd”. The “Yod” in the name “Yahweh” is the
“Hand of God” and is the Power of God, which manifests God’s creation in His handiwork in al things where His eternal Power and Godhead are clearly seen. (Romans 1:20). For these invisible things of God from the creation, the “Yod”, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made by “His Hand”. Bottom line, Jesus Christ is this Creator; He is the “Elohim” (plural of God’s attributes), the “eht”
(Alpha/Tahv) that was made human flesh. The “Yod” is the invisible things of God (the Power or the right Hand of God); the fleshly body of God is the visible which was clearly seen or made, who shows forth His eternal Power and Godhead.
As in Revelation Chapter 5, Stephen in Acts Chapter 7 did not see two persons in the Godhead when he saw the glory of God.
Neither are there two Lords in Matthew Chapter 22 when Jesus asked the Pharisees the question referring to David’s writing that said, “the LORD said unto my Lord”. (Psalms 110:1). As we go on and read Luke’s account: “And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying Lord Jesus, receive my spirit”. (Acts 7:59). When Stephen called upon God, did he call “Yahweh”, or “Jehovah”? No! He called upon the Lord who is Jesus. Stephen saw God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ. “For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6). Thus, God’s glory was seen or manifested in flesh, to show forth His eternal Power, His hand “Yod”, and Godhead. “For in him dwelleth al the ful ness of the Godhead bodily.” (Colossians 2:9). How much of the Godhead or God was in Christ? One-half? Three-quarters? Is Jesus Christ just a part of the Godhead? No! Al of the fulness of the Godhead dwells or houses permanently in Jesus Christ bodily (one body, one person). In Revelation Chapter 5, the right hand is necessary 206
to understanding that it is Jesus Christ who sat on the throne, and it is Jesus Christ, the Lamb, who stood in the midst of the throne. There are not two Persons, but two offices of the Spirit that are al uded to. It is the office of the Son of man as the glorified body of God according to the flesh as the great High Priest, which took the book or Word of God, out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne and loosed the seals thereof. The Son of man is not just referring to Jesus as a human being, but is the office of the Kingdom of God to whom al judgment is given.
“Wherefore when he (the eternal God manifested in the flesh
{the Yachiyd}, not the eternal Son of God) cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou (the eternal God) wouldest not, but a body (human flesh) hast thou prepared me.” (Hebrews 10:5). This is the ful ness of the Godhead that dwelled or housed permanently in bodily form, in flesh. The parenthesis is the author’s for il ustration and interpretation. “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy wil , O God.” (Hebrews 10:7). Paul is quoting David in Psalms Chapter 40, verses 7and 8, referring to the LORD Jehovah who is to come in human flesh as the Messiah which is written throughout the entire Book, the Word of God. Here is the Christ, the “Yachiyd”, or the only begotten Son of God, the express image of the Person of God. This is God manifest in human flesh as a man. (1 Timothy 3:16). The Godhead now wil be clearly seen by the things that are made; this is the handiwork of God, the right hand of God, the “Yod”.
The term “Godhead” is used three times in scripture.
“Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.” (Acts 17:29). Paul addresses the Athenians at Mars Hil and uses the term “Godhead”, from the Greek word
“theios” meaning “Godlike”, “Divinity”. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20). Paul again uses the term 207
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God
“Godhead” from the Greek word “theiotes” meaning “Divinity”. And the last time Paul uses the term Godhead: “For in him dwelleth al the ful ness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9) Paul uses the term
“Godhead” from the Greek “Theotes” meaning “Divinity”. Divinity simply means the quality or condition of being God Supreme.
Nowhere, in any definition of the word “Godhead” does it refer to or imply that three persons make up the Godhead. This is man’s tradition that dates back to the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. The early disciples and apostles did not believe in three persons of the Godhead.
They held to monotheism, that God is One. Jesus Christ is this Singular God in a human bodily form; He is the express image of the Person of God. Anyone that takes the position that God is three persons takes the assumption of the Elohim being a plurality of the persons of God, when in reality the Elohim is a plurality of the attributes of God. Echad which is One, NOT a compound or col ective unity of Persons. “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
(Galatians 4:6). The Spirit of the Son and the Spirit of the Father are One and the Self-same Spirit. The “Godhead” gives no indication, even remotely, of a two or three person composition.
Another point of interest in pointing out that Jesus Christ is God is the fol owing: “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shal be in you. I wil not leave you comfortless: I wil come to you”. (John 14:17,18). Jesus is telling His disciples that the world cannot receive the Holy Ghost because the world does not know Him; neither can the world at this present time receive the true Holy Ghost because it stil does not know Him. But Jesus told His disciples that they did know Him, for He dwelleth with you and shal be in you. Who is this Person that is dwelling with the disciples that later would be in them? Jesus Christ dwelled with the disciples when He spoke this Word to them, and stated that at a later time, that He, “Jesus Christ” shal be in you, the disciples. Of course the disciples did know Jesus while He dwelled with 208
them, but there would be a day when He would be taken from them.
Therefore, Jesus told them that He would not leave them comfortless as orphans, without a comforter, but that He Himself would come to them. Jesus is declaring that He is with His disciples at this time, but He also wil be coming to them in the future. This same Jesus is both the One that is with them, and shal be in them. Jesus is definitely speaking of the Holy Ghost as the Spirit form of Himself. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my name, he shal teach you al things, and bring al things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”. (John 14:26). Who is this Comforter? He is Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God, whom Jesus said, dwelled with you and shal be in you. The Holy Ghost is not another person of the Godhead, but is the same Person of the Godhead; that is, Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God. Jesus proclaimed that if you seeth him not, neither knoweth him, then you are of the world and perceive him in the flesh and not in the Spirit.
Therefore, that person cannot receive the Spirit of truth because he or she does not see Him neither does that person know Him. But you, the reader know Him, Jesus Christ, and He, Jesus Christ is in you, the Holy Ghost if you have repented, been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and have received the Holy Ghost since you believed.
Before leaving the above-mentioned scriptures referring to the Comforter, some wil declare that there are “two” persons as noted by John. “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he wil keep my words; and my Father wil love him, and we wil come unto him, and make our abode with him”. (John 14:23). Certainly “we” and
“our” are plural personal pronouns referring to Jesus Christ in the office of the Son of God and the office of the Father. The “we” and
“our” are abiding with the person that loves Jesus Christ and keeps His words. If the person does these things, then “we”, the glorified Son of God who is Spirit and the Father who is Spirit, One Spirit wil come unto that person and make “our” abode with him. Does that mean that there are two persons of the Godhead abiding in the person that loves Jesus and keeps His words? When a person has God come unto him 209
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God or her, and God makes His abode with him or her, this is speaking of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God indwelling the believer. There are not two separate persons abiding in that person, but only One, Jesus Christ. Not Jesus Christ according to the flesh, since the believer would undoubtedly butt heads with Jesus if the Lord were trying to put His body of flesh into the believer’s body of flesh. Flesh cannot be indwelled with another person of flesh; that is, flesh cannot indwell flesh. Only a spirit can abide or indwell a person of flesh.
Therefore, the Father is the Administrator or Leader as one office of God who is “the Spirit of God”, and Jesus Christ as the Son of God is the redemptive office of God and is “the Spirit of God”. “They”, “we”
and “our” abide or indwell the believer, who is none other than the Holy Ghost. Then why did Jesus use the plural personal pronouns as coming to the believers? The reason is due to the functions of these various offices of the Spirit of God. To come to the office of the Father, one must come through the office of the Son of God, who made the way to the Father. The plural personal pronouns simply are two offices of the one Spirit of God. I am referring to spirit and not flesh in revelation, to the spiritual man, and not to the natural man.
Paul referring to this revelation of the mystery of God: “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?
even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritual y discerned”.
(1 Corinthians 2:11-14).
Dear reader, if you do not believe this revelation of Jesus Christ to be true because of your tradition, please let me pause and ask you to pray and ask Jesus Christ for guidance in the matter of His Person as pertaining to this mystery of the Godhead. I sincerely believe 210
that the Lord wil answer anyone who seeks for Him with al his or her heart. It is a grand and glorious revelation that can only be revealed by the Spirit of God, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20). The Son of God is the One Spirit of God which is Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost in the Son of God’s glorification.
Who is the Son of God that is come? The Son of God is Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God as the One Spirit of God, has given us an understanding of Him that is true that we may know Him that is true.
Jesus Christ manifested the Father to the world. (John 17). We do not know God the Father, except through Jesus Christ, the Son of God being the express image of His Person. Jesus Christ has given us an understanding, that we may know God that is true. And we are in God that is true by being baptized into Christ and having the Spirit of God dwell in us. (Romans 6: 1-7). “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shal also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11). We as believers have received the Holy Ghost and are in Him that is true; i.e. we are in God that is true. Who are we in? Even in his Son Jesus Christ who is the true God and eternal life.
(I John 5:20).
God has reconciled us to Himself through the shed blood of Christ. “And al things are of God (the Father), who hath reconciled us to himself (God, the Father), by Jesus Christ (the Son of God), and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (being reconciled to God); to wit (Which is), that God (the Father) was in Christ (the Son of God), reconciling the world unto himself (God the Father), not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18,19). In parenthesis are inclusions of the author’s for il ustration and revelation on the reader’s behalf.
“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know al 211
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God things.” (1 John 2:20). John did not say that we have an unction from the Holy Trinity, but from the “Holy One”. One is from the Greek
“mia” meaning “one”. There is only One and He is Jesus Christ, the Person of God. Be careful not to deny Jesus Christ as the Father.
Some believe erroneously that if they confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and do not confess the Father as separate from Jesus Christ, that they wil leave out the Father in their worship. “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son”. (1 John 2:22). Others wil say that they have not denied the Father and the Son, but if you do not confess Jesus Christ as the Father God, John proclaims this to be the spirit of antichrist. The author wil concentrate in point on the subject of the antichrist in the last chapter of this book. But suffice it to be so now to make the point that Jesus Christ is God the Father manifest in a human body of flesh as the Son. “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” (1 John 2:23). “Acknowledgeth” is from the Greek word “epignosis” meaning “discernment, or to recognize or to know upon some mark”. Acknowledgeth is not simply an outward mental exercise of speaking with one’s mouth that they believe in Jesus Christ, but is a revelation of the Spirit of God giving an unction as to the ful assurance and acknowledging the truth that is in Jesus Christ. We have covered earlier as to the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. (Colossians 2:2) If one has the revelation of Jesus Christ as being the express image of God, having al the ful ness of the Godhead dwelling in Jesus Christ bodily; that is, one body, then that person that ful y understands and knows the Son wil have the Father also. This is because the Father dwells in the Son of God in His ful ness. Jesus Christ is the Father that came in human flesh and called the Son of God. Because Jesus Christ is not the second person of the Godhead, as some proclaim, but is the manifestation of God Himself, He is never referred to in the scriptures anywhere as “God the Son”, but the
“Son of God”. Therefore, John did not say, “he that acknowledgeth the Father hath the Son also”, but “he that acknowledgeth the Son 212
hath the Father also”. Why? Because al the fulness of the Godhead dwelleth in Jesus Christ bodily. (Colossians 2:9). Again, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself.” (2 Corinthians 5:19a). “Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17). Jesus Christ, the Lord, is the Spirit of God that was manifest in flesh, as the express image of His Person.
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8). Jesus Christ claims himself to be the Almighty God, the Father, El Shaddai. Jesus Christ proclaimed Himself to be the Father. “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty, just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.” (Revelation 15:3). Who is the Lamb, the King of saints? He is Jesus Christ, the Lord God Almighty. Again,
“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God”. (Revelation 19:13). Who is the Word of God? Jesus Christ is the Word of God. “And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done”. (Revelation 2:26). Who sent his angel in the preceding verse to show these things to his servants? The Lord God, Jesus Christ sent his angel as written, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches”. (Revelation 22:16a). Jesus also proclaims Himself to be the Father of David; “I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”. (Revelation 22:16b). Jesus is both the root (Father as Spirit) and the offspring (son according to the flesh) of David. Even so, Come, Lord Jesus. Who is coming? Titus declares that the great God is coming, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ”. (Titus 2:13). Jesus Christ is God our Saviour. “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and the Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope.” (1 Timothy 1:1). “But to us 213
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God there is but one God, the Father, of whom are al things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are al things, and we by him. howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge.” (1 Corinthians 8:6,7a). Not every man has this revelation of Jesus Christ, that He is Lord Jehovah Yahweh manifest in human flesh as a man that was glorified and went back to heaven.
In summation of this chapter, Jesus Christ is God made flesh.
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7). They do not agree in one, but are One and the Same God. Jesus Christ is the Word of God as the divine “Logos” or “Expression, Thought, Intellect, Wisdom, Understanding”. “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”
(Revelation 19:13). God, the Word, was made flesh. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), ful of grace and truth.”
(John 1:14). Jesus Christ is the Word that was made flesh. God then walked and showed forth Himself to mankind in flesh. “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16).
“Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.” (John 20:27,28). Thomas did not say “My Lord (Adonai or Master) and my Son of God”. Thomas cal ed Jesus Christ his Lord Jehovah and his God.
“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every val ey shal be exalted, and every mountain and hil shal be made low: and the crooked shal be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shal be revealed, and al flesh shal see it together; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”
214
(Isaiah 40:3-5). The LORD used here is “Yehovah” or “Jehovah”.87
The LORD is the Jehovah LORD or God Almighty, the Father. “As it is written in the book of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Every val ey shal be a fil ed, and every mountain and hil shal be brought low; and the crooked shal be made straight, and the rough ways shal be made smooth; and al flesh shal see the salvation of God.” (Luke 3:4-6). Who is this voice of one crying in the wilderness that the prophets said would forerun the LORD’s being revealed as the Messiah? Who is John the Baptist referring to as Jehovah LORD? “Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.” It is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Jehovah Lord, the Almighty God.
“Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.” (Isaiah 40:28). Isaiah refers to the LORD here with al capital letters meaning the LORD Jehovah, God Almighty, the Father.
The LORD is the Creator of the ends of the earth. “For by him were al things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; al things were created by him, and for him: And he is before al things, and by him al things consist.” (Colossians 1:16,17). Notice Paul declares “For by him (Jesus Christ)”, not “For by them (the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost)”; were al things created. That is, Jesus Christ, the LORD Jehovah, created al things. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. Al things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
(John 1:1-3). John declares that al things were created by him, not them; that is, al things were created by Him, i.e. the Word. Without him, i.e. the Word, was not any thing made that was made. “For there are three that bear record in heaven; the Father, the Word, and the 87 Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible H3068

The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” (1 John 5:7,8). In 1 John 5:7, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one not agree in one but are one. John did not say “the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost,” and these three are one the same one and the same. The Father and the Word are the same Spirit; the Word and the Holy Ghost are the same Spirit; the Father and the Holy Ghost are the same Spirit; the Father and the Word are the same Spirit. These three are the same; they are one. Again, Father is a different office of the Spirit than the Spirit’s office as Word. For the Father is the Administrator or Leader in al offices of the Spirit, while the Word is the Spirit’s office of Expression, Thought, Intellect, etc. The office of the Spirit that is the power is the Holy Ghost as the Spirit form of Jesus. There is only one Spirit referred to in three distinct offices or roles. The fol owing scripture in verse 8 states that there are three that bear witness in the earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. They are not one and the same, but agree in one. But the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one. Some scholars would argue that (1 John 5:7) was not in the original manuscripts and should not be in the Word of God. Does God know how to preserve His Word? Is there a mistake in the Word of God? Who is this Word that created al things, and that without him was not anything made that was made? “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), ful of grace and truth.” (John 1:14). Who is this Word made flesh but Jesus Christ, the Word, who has come in the flesh? “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.”
(Genesis 1:1). Who created al things, that without him was not any thing made that was made? Who created al things that are in heaven and that are in earth that Paul mentions in to the Church at Colosse?
(Colossians 1:16)? God created the heaven and the earth, the Word created al things, the Father, the LORD Jehovah, the Elohim created the heaven and the earth. “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” (Revelation 216
19:13). His name, Jesus Christ, is called the Word of God. This is definitely Jesus Christ who is called The Word of God who sat upon a white horse; who is called Faithful and True. “Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD, that maketh al things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.” (Isaiah 44:24). Notice that God made the heavens and the earth by himself alone. The angels did not have any active part in creation. No reference is made to a Father that spoke to His son to create or make the heavens or the earth. But the scripture expresses that God Himself, not themselves; but the LORD (al capital letters referring to Yehovah or Jehovah) created the heavens and earth by himself, alone. No other person helped God in creation; but He created the heavens and the earth by Himself alone.
“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shal stand at the latter day upon the earth.” (Job 19:25). Who is Job’s Redeemer that shal literally stand at the latter day: It is He, not they that David speaks about. “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”
(Psalms 19:14). “And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God, their redeemer.” (Psalms 78:35). “Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I wil help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 61:14). Isaiah proclaims the redeemer to be the LORD Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, not the Holy Trinity of Israel. “Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 43:14a). Isaiah knew the LORD Jehovah, the redeemer, as the Holy One of Israel, not the Holy Trinity. “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” (Isaiah 48:17). Again, Isaiah calls the LORD
Jehovah, the Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Why? Jehovah LORD
God is “One”. “And I wil feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shal be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and al flesh shal know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.” (Isaiah 49:26). There is a day 217
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God when al flesh wil know that the LORD Jehovah, Yahweh, the mighty God, our Saviour, is One. “For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD
of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shal he be called.” (Isaiah 54:5). Who is our husband? Isn’t He Jesus Christ? Is not the church the bride of Christ?
“The LORD Jehovah is our Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of the whole earth.” (Ephesians 5:32, Revelation 21:2). “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” (James 2:19). “One” used in this scripture text is from the Greek “Heis” literal y meaning the numeral one, not a composite one, but one. This compares to the “Yachiyd”, the only “One”; rather than the “Echad”, meaning a plural of “One”. James declares that even the devils know that there is one God. “Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.” (Luke 4:34).
The devils knew that Jesus Christ is the Holy One of God. The nation of Israel was to say and know the Shema, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD
our God is one LORD.” (Deuteronomy 6:4). The Jew realized that there is only ONE God, and His name ONE. Isaiah knew that God is
“One”. For he wrote, “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shal there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you; therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I wil work and who shal let it? Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down al their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.” (Isaiah 43:10-15). Who is the Saviour, the Redeemer of mankind? “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:13) He is none other than Jesus 218
Christ.
Consider Paul’s encounter on the Damascus road as he was intending to bound Christians and bring them to Jerusalem. A light from heaven shined about him and he fell to the earth. “And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” (Acts 9:4). Paul evidently perceived that this was the voice of the God that he learned about while he was an understudy of Gamaliel. (Acts 22:3). For Paul said, “Who art thou Lord?” (Acts 9:5a). Paul was actual y asking the One that spake to him, “Who art thou Lord Jehovah?” “Who art thou God Almighty?” He then received his revelation of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the God in flesh.
“And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest; it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” (Acts 9:5b). Do you understand why Paul was so astonished and trembled when he found out this revelation of God? Paul had persecuted the “way” speaking of Christians, even unto death, binding and delivering men and women into prisons for the faith in their God. But Paul did not believe in this God incarnate called the Messiah; therefore, he took the side of the Jews in persecuting the church. When he asked as to whom the God incarnate was by calling Him Lord, to his amazement Jesus answered and told him that He was the Messiah, the Lord Jehovah.
Well you say, the Lord Jesus Christ is not the Lord Jehovah from above, but is Lord Adonai or Master, which is separate from the Lord Jehovah. Consider, “And so it is written, the First man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.” (1 Corinthians 15:45-47). Paul to the church at Corinth plainly states that the first Adam was a living soul from the earth and sunk as it were back to earth, becoming earthy because of his sin. He was not heavenly in origin, but had the breath of life given to him by God and became a living soul. Adam was not a quickening spirit; therefore, he could not be the spirit that gives life. Jesus Christ, on the other hand, is the Spirit 219
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God that gives life and is not earthy, but heavenly. Jesus is called the second Adam because He wil be the Federal Head of a new race of species and a new creation just like Adam was the first head of the fal en human race. Jesus wil accomplish this by being incarnated in a body as a human being with a human nature that wil manifest the ful divine nature of God. He wil be called a spiritual Adam since He is the Head of the government of God and declared to be so by his resurrection from the dead having immortality. Paul signified this truth when he declared the second Adam, Jesus Christ, to be resurrected from the dead. Jesus was sown in corruption, raised in incorruption. He was sown in dishonour, raised in glory. He was sown in weakness, raised in power. Jesus was sown a natural body, but raised a spiritual body. The natural body of Jesus is the fleshly part or form of Christ. The Lord from heaven is the Spirit form of Christ. Paul is not referring to Jesus Christ as the second person of the Godhead, but the Lord Jehovah, the only person of the Godhead.
The Lord God is the same “Elohim” as we see in creation. In Genesis Chapter 1, verses 26 and 27, the use of “God” or “Elohim” as the Creator that created man, is the same as the Lord God in Genesis Chapter 2, verse 7 that formed man of the dust of the ground. They are not separate, but the One and same God Jehovah, Yahweh; that is, Elohim is the Lord God. “For by him were al things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; al things were created by him, and for him.” (Colossians 1:16). This is Jesus Christ who created al things in heaven and earth by Him, and for Him. Jesus Christ is “Elohim”.
“By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and al the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” (Psalms 33:6). “For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psalms 33:9). Both of these scriptures concerning creation uses the singular personal pronouns “he” and “his”. Elohim, the LORD God, created the earth and the heaven by His Word, by His breath. Not the second person of the Godhead, but the LORD Jehovah Himself created al 220
things.
“Know ye that the LORD he is God; it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalms 100:3). Is He that made us two persons, or the second person of the Godhead; or is He the LORD God Jehovah signified by al capital letters in the name LORD as the singular
“Yachiyd” God Almighty? The same LORD is written in the shema of Israel, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.”
(Deuteronomy 6:4). The LORD again is in al capital letters meaning the LORD Jehovah, the Israeli name of God. The “one” is the
“Echad” or the plural of the attributes of the singular Person of God.
The author has covered the proper names of God in Chapter 3 using the Jehovah titles of the attributes of God; i.e. Jehovah-Shalom, God is Peace; Jehovah-Rapha, the LORD who healeth; Jehovah-jireh, The LORD wil provide, etc. Therefore, the “Echad”, which means a compound or col ective unity, does not refer to three persons of the One God, but to the plurality of the attributes of the One singular Person, God. This is the same as “Elohim”, the plural of “Elowahh”
meaning the plural of God; not in the plurality of the persons of God, but the plurality of the attributes of the One God. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
(Luke 2:11). Who is the LORD? Jesus Christ is the LORD.
“Thou sendeth forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the LORD shal endure for ever; the LORD shal rejoice in his works.” (Psalms 104:30,31). Who sent His Spirit forth in creation, whose glory shal endure forever? Paul referring to Jesus Christ, the Son who is God in the flesh, “And Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shal perish; but thou remainest; and they al shal wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shal be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shal not fail.” (Hebrews 1:10-12). Jesus Christ is the LORD who created the earth and heaven, and the heavens are the works of His hands. The LORD Jesus Christ shal 221
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God remain the same and endure forever. There is not two persons referred to here by Paul, but the LORD only Who created everything by Himself Alone. (Isaiah 44:24). “Behold, bless ye the LORD al ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD, Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.” (Psalms 134:1-3). Are there two LORDS in these scriptures that made heaven and earth, or is there only One LORD and His name Jesus? “The LORD is nigh unto al them that call upon him, to al that cal upon him in truth.” (Psalms 145:18). Paul refers to the LORD that is nigh as the LORD Jesus Christ, “That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.” (Acts 17:27).
“To whom wil ye liken me, or shal I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number; he cal eth them al by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.” (Isaiah 40:25-28). Is the Everlasting God the same as the LORD? Is the Everlasting God the same One as the Creator of heaven and earth? Defacto; the Everlasting God is the Lord, is the Creator who is none other than Jesus Christ.
The Trinity would have you to believe that these three are three separate and distinct persons of the Godhead who are co-equal, coexistent, and of the same substance. These three are not separate persons, but One and the Same Person. Who is this Person? The everlasting God is the everlasting Father who is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6). The LORD is Jesus Christ as shown in Luke 2:11. The Saviour is Jesus Christ as written, “But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” (2 Timothy 1:10).
222
Jesus Christ is the LORD God Almighty, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8).
There is an observation that the author would like to make concerning Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came into the world as The Word made flesh. Spirit did not become flesh, and flesh did not become Spirit. But the Spirit of God was in flesh as a human being, God manifest in flesh. God did not come into the world as the second person of the Godhead, which we wil give some scrutiny to at this time. Let me expound further on the first coming of Jesus Christ.
There had not been a prophet’s voice representing God in the earth for over four hundred years. The Old Testament ends with the prophet Malachi at approximately 400 B.C. God ends with a warning to the people to remember the law of Moses and that God would send Elijah the prophet before the coming of the LORD Jehovah. The silence would be ended by the greatest voice of al , God in the first Person. This is the reason there was silence of al men, because God had reserved the silence to be broken by none other than Himself. The voice of prophet Elijah, “John the Baptist”, would declare God in the first person, “Behold, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world”. (John 1:29b).
“Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for al Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I wil send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD; and he shal turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” (Malachi 4:4- 6). The LORD is al capital letters meaning that the coming would be that of the LORD Jehovah Himself, the Father. This is another proof that Jehovah LORD is Jesus Christ since Elijah, that is John the Baptist, did fore-run the first coming of Jesus Christ as was written.
John the Baptist did not simply fore-run the Lord, but he fore-run the LORD, meaning the Father, Jehovah LORD Almighty God; not the second person of the Godhead.
223
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God Jesus Christ did not prophesy as other prophets did in the Old Testament. Even though, He was called “Son of man” in like manner, referring to His being the Person of the Kingdom of God, He was King, Priest, and Prophet. There was a distinct difference in the manner He addressed the people as “Prophet” when delivering the Word of God. An Old Testament prophet was titled “son of man” and prophesied saying, “Thus saith the Lord” as we see in Samuel (1 Samuel 10:18, 15:2, 2 Samuel 7:5,8,12:7,11, 24:12); in Isaiah (Isaiah 1:11,18,24, 52:3); in Jeremiah in (Jeremiah 2:2,3,5,9,12,19,22,29, 6:9); in Ezekiel (Ezekiel 2:4, 3:11) etc. Al through the Old Testament these prophets saw dreams and visions of the LORD and prophesied in His name saying “thus saith the LORD”. However, not one time did Jesus prophesy “Thus saith the Lord”. Why not, some would ask? If Jesus Christ is King, Priest, and Prophet, why did not He prophesy saying
“Thus saith the LORD”? Simply because Jesus Christ is the LORD.
This is why He would al ude to some prophet, such as Moses, and say,
“Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.” (Matthew 19:8). But then Jesus would say, “And I say unto you” (Matthew 19:9a). Not “Thus saith the LORD, but “I say unto you”. Or as in the sermon on the Mount, “Verily I say unto you (Matthew 6:2,5,16). He did not, at any time, say “Thus saith the LORD”, or “Thus saith the Father”; but He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee”. Jesus Christ spoke in the first Person of God, since He is God in His Spirit.
Jesus Christ did work al miracles, signs, and wonders by His Father that dwelled or housed permanently in Him. (John 14:10b).
However, Jesus did not speak in tongues as does the Church by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Jesus did not need to build up His faith praying in the Holy Ghost with a prayer language as we, the Church, need to. The Holy Ghost is the Power of God, is the Spirit of God, the same as the Most High. This is concluded when Mary was going to conceive and bring forth a man child and cal His name Jesus.
“And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shal come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shal overshadow thee: 224
therefore also that holy thing which shal be born of thee shal be cal ed the Son of God”. (Luke 1:35). The Power of the Highest is the Holy Ghost, is the Father. The Father and the Holy Ghost are One and the Same Person as Spirit. Jesus Christ is the ful ness of the Godhead bodily, or One Body, the Body of God. In Him, that is His flesh, dwelled or housed permanently the Spirit of God who is the Holy Ghost as referred to earlier in this chapter. “Now the Lord is that Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:17a). Jesus Christ is that Spirit, the Holy Ghost who became or housed in a body of flesh and blood as a human being.
“And whosoever shal speak a word against the Son of man, it shal be forgiven him; but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shal not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” (Matthew 12:32). A person can deny Jesus Christ as the Messiah, and speak against Him and there is room for forgiveness.
This is because if the Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. This is due to the sin nature of mankind. And al manner of sin and blasphemy shal be forgiven unto men. (Matthew 12:31a). There is the blood of God shed for the sins of mankind, which wil purge the conscience from dead works to serve the living God. However, there was not one drop of blood shed for a man to speak against the Power of God, the Holy Ghost in His destroying the works of the devil, and ascribing this Power to the devil and not to God. There is no blood of remission for a man speaking against the Holy Ghost, the Power of God, demonstrated in casting out devils, healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, and raising the dead. God did not shed His blood for a person to ascribe the Power of God to a devil. Therefore, there is no forgiveness for whoever blasphemes the Holy Ghost.
“Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the LORD shal endure for ever: the LORD shal rejoice in his works.” (Psalms 104:30,31). Here we have the Creator again mentioned by David in this Psalm as the LORD Jehovah, since LORD is written with al capital letters. Who is this that the Creator and whose glory shal endure forever? “Saying 225
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 5: Jesus Christ is the Almighty God with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Revelation 14:7). John did not say to worhip them, but to worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. That is none other than Jesus Christ, the Creator.
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.” (Isaiah 40:28). “Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. I have made the earth, and created man upon it; I, even my hands, have streteched out the heavens, and al their host have I commanded.”
(Isaiah 45:11,12). “Have we not al one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?” (Malachi 2:10).
Who is the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, the Holy One of Israel, the One God that created us? “For by him were al things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; al things were created by him and for him.”
(Colossians 1:16). He that created al things is Jesus Christ, the LORD
Jehovah.
226
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6:
Jesus Christ is the
Person of God
227
Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God Jesus Christ has many offices or roles as God. When He as God came in flesh, there were two forms that comprised the Lord Jesus Christ. These two parts or forms when referring to Christ was that of 1) God as Spirit and 2) man as a human being. The Person of God wil refer to Spirit being incorporated with flesh as a man in a permanent and lasting dwelling or housing. Jesus revealed the perfect name of God, which he received by inheritance since He is the Spirit of God manifested in a body of flesh and blood. He as a man was the perfect and ful manifestation of God’s Essence and Substance. When speaking of a separate form of Jesus as to his humanity, he wil be truly man in every respect in human spirit, soul, and body. When referring to the Spirit form of Jesus Christ or God, He wil in fact be truly God in every respect as the Spirit of God. The Person of Jesus Christ wil be both Spirit as God and man as a human being of flesh.
The flesh of Jesus Christ was made up of earthly humanity housing the Spirit of God. The angel Gabriel told Mary that she would conceive in her womb and bring forth a son. (Luke 1:31). Mary knew for this to be possible, it would be necessary for a male sperm to fertilize her egg in order to form the embryo. She then asks the question; “Then said Mary to the angel, How shal this be, seeing I know not a man?" (Luke 1:34). “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shal overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shal be born of thee shal be called the Son of God.”
(Luke 1:35). Notice Jesus Christ is called “that holy thing”. “Holy” is the Greek “hagios” meaning “sacred, blameless, consecrated, separate from sin”.88 When referring to Jesus, “holy” denotes more than just consecrated or sacred, more than just pure or free from defilement. It is Godlikeness. This was used of the Sanctuary in the Tabernacle of 88 Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible G40
229
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God Moses as the Holy Place. As we perceive the three sections of the Tabernacle, there is the outer court, the Holy place, and the Most Holy Place or Holy of Holies. The Tabernacle used in relation to the body of Jesus Christ, the Holy place was the place of the Christ in His natural soul, with the outer court being that of the natural flesh of Adam. “Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.” (Hebrews 9:1). The sanctuary which speaks of the body of Jesus Christ was worldly, or of the earth as an Adam. The Most Holy Place was the Holiest that housed the Ark of the Covenant; thus, the Most Holy Place signifies the human spirit of Jesus Christ that housed the Spirit of God in its fulness as God’s permanent dwelling place. It is Jesus Christ in His Spirit that is eternal life and immortality. God used Mary to give to Jesus this body of human flesh that was under the law in order that He might die for the sin of the world. Jesus Christ is that “holy thing” that wil manifest the ful ness of the Essence and Substance of God in His nature and attributes, as He is the express image of the Person of God.
God did not take on a body of natural flesh in order to have sex with mankind to produce Himself a body of natural flesh. God is Spirit. God would not, and did not, use “another’s” flesh to embody Himself in and through. If one believes that Mary’s egg was used in conjunction with natural spermatozoa from the Spirit, then this would constitute a body being 23 chromosomes of Mary and 23
chromosomes of God. The body of Jesus Christ did not contain 23
chromosomes from Mary and another 23 chromosomes from God Himself. If it had, the body would have been half God and half man, thus a demi-god. In other words, God did not commingle the seed of Adam with the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, thereby, making it a mutation of the two. The body of Jesus Christ consisted solely of human flesh with a human soul and a human spirit. Thus Jesus Christ in His being is the express image of God’s Essence and Substance; God manifest in human flesh as a mystery. This seed that was born of Mary was the natural seed of a woman that housed the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. In other words, Mary became 230
pregnant with the natural seed of her body that housed the seed of promise in the shadow of the cross to bring forth the righteousness of God without the law in the realm of faith. Thus her faith mixed with God’s Word, together the “holy thing” was conceived of the Holy Ghost to manifest God in human flesh and blood.
Let’s take a look at Isaiah’s account of God to explain His Person. Everyone wil agree that God is Spirit. The problem comes when we try to ascertain His Person, His identity. Some hold to the Trinity doctrine of the Godhead; that is, that there are three persons that make up the One God, i.e. God the Father (Jehovah, Yahweh El-Shaddai, Elohim, etc.), God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Ghost. These three are perceived to be co-existent, co-equal, and co-eternal. Some hold to the idea that God and the Holy Ghost are One and the Same Spirit; but that Jesus Christ is a separate person from the Father, thus the two-ness doctrine. This conception of Jesus Christ believes that Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God as One person, and God the Father or Holy Ghost is the other person of the Godhead. And there is the doctrine of Oneness whose belief basically is that God is One Person in Jesus Christ and that Jesus Christ is the Father that dwelled or housed permanently in a human being called the Son of God. “For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.”
(Isaiah 43:3). Isaiah did not refer to the LORD thy God as the Holy Trinity, but as the Holy One of Israel. The “One” in the referenced verse is from the Hebrew “Iysh” and means “a male person”. Isaiah refers to the LORD thy God as “a Holy Male Person of Israel”. “I, even I, and the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:11). Can you imagine the excitement when Gabriel proclaimed Jesus to be the Saviour, the LORD thy God, Who is Messiah or Christ? “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11). The Jewish people realize the depth of the term, Messiah or Christ. They realize that their Messiah is none other than God Himself that is revealed as the “Warrior Saviour” of Israel Who smashes their enemies and conquers those that hate Him.
231
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God However, many Christians do not realize the meaning of “Christ” or
“Messiah”, as the “Immanuel”, “God with us” as a Person comprised of both divinity and humanity.
“Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.” (Isaiah 45:15). Here again is God the Saviour. “Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together; who had declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.” (Isaiah 45:21). If there were three or possibly two in the Godhead, God would have certainly told us here in scripture. He would have said that the Son and the Holy Ghost were beside Him, or at least the Son was beside Him. But God did not acknowledge anyone as co-existent, co-equal, and co- eternal with Him. The LORD, the Saviour that is mentioned here is God, but no one else. This is because the LORD, is the LORD God, the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
“And I wil feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shal be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine; and al flesh shal know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.” (Isaiah 49:26). Here again,
“One” is from the Hebrew “iysh” meaning “a Male Person”, only one person. The “iysh” refers to Jesus Christ as the Holy One of Israel.
“Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.” (Isaiah 60:16). He is the mighty One of Jacob, not the mighty two or three of Jacob. “For he said, Surely they are my people, children that wil not lie: so he was their Saviour In al their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them al the days of old.” (Isaiah 63:8,9).
Who is this God that is the Saviour and the Redeemer of Israel that Isaiah is writing about? It is the same One that Hosea writes about.
“Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me; for there is no saviour beside me.”(Hosea 13:4).
232
It is the same One that Mary speaks about. “And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” (Luke 1:47). Who is this Person of God that is “my Saviour” and “my Redeemer”? “For unto you a child is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
(Luke 2:11). This is the Saviour that Isaiah and Hosea are al uding to as signified by “Saviour” starting with a capital letter, referring to God.
The Samaritans came to Jesus and stated: “And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying; for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” (John 4:42). The Samaritans were speaking of Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world.
Luke records a witness of the Saviour. “Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.” (Acts 5:31). Again, “Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus.” (Acts 13:23). Luke speaks of the Saviour as being from the seed of David according to the flesh; i.e. the One God manifested in flesh.
“Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh.” (Romans 1:3). This is the same Saviour Isaiah writes about as the Holy One of Israel, the LORD, God our Redeemer and Saviour that takes on the body of His flesh. This is the “One” or “Iysh” meaning “a Male Person” as noted in the previous paragraphs when referring to God, the Saviour and Redeemer.
Notice the way Paul writes about the Saviour to the church at Philippi. “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 3:20). Some wil continue to disregard the “Iysh”, or “One” God as “a Male Person”.
And without controversy, this One God Jesus revelation is by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Let us continue: “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope”. (1 Timothy 1:1). Jesus Christ is God our Saviour, the same One God who is the Saviour as recited by Isaiah and Hosea. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our 233
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God Saviour.” (1 Timothy 2:3). How many persons or “Iysh” are there in the Godhead? Remember, “Iysh” is “a singular male person” in the Hebrew for “One” when referring to God. “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of al men, especial y those that believe.” (1
Timothy 4:10). Jesus Christ is the living God who is the Saviour of al men. And lastly, “But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
(2 Timothy 1:10).
Is Jesus Christ, “the Son of God our Saviour” or, “God our Saviour”? The Son of God is the redemptive office of God and is our Saviour, none disagreeing. The Son of God is comprised of two forms, Spirit and flesh; that is God and man. By revelation again, let’s consider Paul’s writing to Titus. “But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour.” (Titus 1:3). Jesus Christ is definitely “God our Saviour” and is referring to the Spirit form of Jesus Christ. “To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour.” (Titus 1:4). Are there two Lords? No, there are not two Lords or two Persons of God. God the Father is the Spirit and Jesus Christ is the “Iysh” or “male person” in whom God the Father dwells or houses permanently, the Holy “One”. This one Person of God is both God as Spirit and man as flesh. Titus has the revelation of Jesus Christ, as you wil see, as he writes. “Not purloining, but shewing al good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in al things”. (Titus 2:10). God our Saviour is Jesus Christ, God as the
“One” LORD or “Iysh”, the singular male person of God, Jesus Christ. Again: “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ”. (Titus 2:13).
How many persons of God are going to appear? There wil be One God who wil appear in al His glory, Jesus Christ.
“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them 234
that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1:1). God is our Saviour, Jesus Christ. “For so an entrance shal be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1:11). “For if after they have escaped the pol utions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.” (2 Peter 2:20).
The LORD God and Saviour is Jesus Christ, the One Person of God who is Male, the “Iysh”. Peter reiterates: “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever Amen”. (2 Peter 3:18) Not to “them” be glory now and for ever; but to “him” be glory both now and for ever. God is a singular Male Person, Jesus Christ, our great God and Saviour.
Jude writes that beside God there is no Saviour, as did Isaiah.
“To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” (Jude 25). Jesus Christ is the Only God and our Saviour, the only Person of God. God does not know or recognize any other than Himself. He only is God, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God the Rock
“He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for al his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.”
(Deuteronomy 32:4). Here plainly God is called “a Rock”, meaning that He never changes just as a rock is the same for ages. “But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.” (Deuteronomy 32:15). “of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and has forgotten God that formed thee.” (Deuteronomy 32:18). The Rock is again God that created mankind that Israel had forgotten. “For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.”
235
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God (Deuteronomy 32:31). “Behold, I wil stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shal come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.” (Exodus 17:6). By this scripture we realize that Jesus Christ was smitten, so that the waters of refreshing and eternal life could be given to mankind. But Jesus Christ can only be smitten or crucified once, and once and for al ; He cannot be smitten the second time as Moses did. “And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.” (Numbers 20:11).
Because of this smiting of the rock twice, Moses would not be able to bring the people into the land of Canaan that flowed with milk and honey. “There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.” (1 Samuel 2:2). No one would disagree that God is “the Rock” as clearly seen in these scriptures.
David speaks of the LORD as his Rock. “And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him wil I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence”. (2 Samuel 22:2,3). “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
(Psalms 18:2). “For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?” (Psalms 18:31). “The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.” (Psalms 18:46).
David makes himself very definitive as to the positive identity of the rock, “For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?” (2 Samuel 22:32). “The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.” (2 Samuel 22:47).
David expresses God as the Rock of his salvation. “Unto thee wil I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.” (Psalms 28:1). “Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for 236
an house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.” (Psalms 31:2,3).
“I wil say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” (Psalms 42:9).
“From the end of the earth wil I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (Psalms 61:2).
God was David’s fortress and defense and was al uded to as a rock.
“He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shal not be greatly moved.” (Psalms 62:2). David does not say “They are my rock”
when making reference to God, but “He only is my rock”. “In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” (Psalms 62:7).
“And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.” (Psalms 78:35). David knows that God is his Rock and Redeemer. “He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.” (Psalms 81:16). Have you ever seen a rock that yielded honey?
God certainly does with the butter (the fat of the Word) along with the honey (the sweetness of the Word that opens the eyes to the revelation of God to us in the earthly realm). “He shal cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.” (Psalms 89:26). “But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.”
(Psalms 94:22). David certainly knows God as his Rock.
Isaiah also knows God as the Rock as we see. “And he shal be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem”. (Isaiah 8:14). “Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips.” (Isaiah 17:10). “Hearken to me, ye that fol ow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.”
(Isaiah 51:1). Here Isaiah clearly calls the LORD, the Rock from whence we are hewn.

The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God If the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed; and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed, we should be able to learn the Person of God the Rock. Paul says it very well. “And did al drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that fol owed them: and that Rock was Christ.” (1 Corinthians 10:4). Who is God the Rock? He is Jesus Christ, the Rock. Consider the fol owing scriptures: “And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. and I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I wil build my church; and the gates of hell shal not prevail against it”. (Matthew 16:16-18).
Simon Barjona is now named Peter from the Greek word “Petros”
meaning “(a piece of) rock”. “Petros” is larger than “hilos” which is a stone, and is also surnamed “Cephas” which is “rock”. “Cephas” is from the Chaldee “keph” meaning “a hol ow rock” or “to curve or bow down self”. In other words, Peter was not the literal “Rock”
which is God, but the revelation that the Father had given to him would qualify him as a messenger of the Rock. What is this revelation that Jesus pronounced that flesh and blood had not revealed it to him, but the Father which is in heaven? It is the revelation that would be the rock or foundation of the church that the gates of hell could not prevail against. It is the revelation of the Son of man, the I AM as the Christ, the Son of the living God. It is not the Everlasting Son, but the Everlasting God. The Christ is the Son of the living God, the Messiah that was long looked for and now was in the world. Jesus Christ was walking on the earth with al the ful ness of the Godhead in him bodily. (Colossians 2:9). But at the same time, Jesus Christ was in heaven. Yes, at the very same time that He was walking on the earth being manifested as “God the Almighty”, as recorded in the first chapter of Revelation, verse 8, He was at the same time in heaven.
“And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” (John 3:13).
Yes, Jesus proclaimed Himself as the only man that ascended up to 238
heaven, the same that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. This Man is Almighty God, from above in heaven, not from the earth beneath. This is the bread that is alive as speaking of Jesus' Spirit in the office of the Word that came down from heaven and took on a fleshly body. "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shal live for ever: and the bread that I wil give is my flesh, which I wil give for the life of the world." (John 6:51). This flesh is not earthly flesh which the people of the world seek after, but the spiritual meat of His true identity, the Word or Spirit. Jesus was in no way speaking of his literal flesh or suggesting cannibalism. The religious of His day did not receive the saying of Jesus concerning His flesh in the shadow of the cross, that it was the Word as Spirit that gives life as the true meat and drink so that one would never hunger or thirst again. The disciples were looking at Jesus standing by them in the flesh, clothed and with sandals on His feet, just like them. At the same time Jesus makes the declaration that He is God that is in heaven, at the same time that He is currently walking on the earth in flesh manifesting Himself as the Only wise God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. That may be hard for someone to grasp if you are looking at Jesus as natural flesh, but it is quite simple to someone who realizes that Jesus Christ is the Spirit being the Word sent from the Father which is one and the same Spirit, just different offices or roles being demonstrated or manifested to the world. Jesus Christ is the Spirit that came down from heaven as God made flesh.
Jesus Christ in his Spirit is indeed the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. The designation “Son of man” refers to the Kingdom of God and not to his natural body of flesh and blood. Otherwise, how could the “Son of man” be in heaven when standing in plain sight upon the earth if Jesus is referring only to his flesh and blood as a regular Son of man or humanity? This is the foundation or rock upon which the church is built and the gates of hell cannot and wil not prevail against.
The author wil cover the office of the Son of man in the succeeding chapter.
Some wil argue that the trinity doctrine is prevailing today, 239
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God more than the doctrine of Jesus Christ as the Son of the living God, which is God manifested in the flesh. (1 Timothy 3:16). But simply because Ishmael was born first by Hagar does not abort or circumvent the revealing of the true rock and foundation that is found in the Seed of Promise, Isaac. This revelation comes from the Father, the Spirit comparing spiritual things with spiritual, and cannot come from the flesh. (1 Corinthians 2:13). Jesus Christ is the Rock, the God of al salvation, the Rock that fol owed Israel through the wilderness jounrey that provided drink to al that thirsted. This is the living water, that whosoever drinketh shal never thirst, but shal be in Him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:14).
Jesus Christ is God the King
“The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathern are persihed out of his land.” (Psalms 10:16). Who is this King? David asked the same question. “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shal come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shal come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”
(Psalms 24:7-10). David proclaims the King of glory to be the LORD
Jehovah, Yahweh, Who is also the LORD of hosts. In Matthew’s Gospel, His identity is revealed. “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king heard these things, he was troubled, and al Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered al the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet. And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of 240
thee shal come a Governor, that shal rule my people Israel.”
(Matthew 2:1-6). Who is this King of glory? He is none other than Jesus Christ, the LORD of hosts, the Jehovah-Saboath.
“The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.” (Psalms 29:10). “Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.” (Psalms 44:4). “For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over al the earth. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of al the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.” (Psalms 47:2,6,7).
“Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.” (Psalms 48:2).
Matthew again gives us the identity of the King of Zion, the God we sing praises to. “Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.”
(Matthew 21:5).
“They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.” (Psalms 68:24). “For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.” (Psalms 74:12).
“Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swal ow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.” (Psalms 84:3). Luke gives us the identity of the King, “Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” (Luke 19:38). Jesus Christ is the King that cometh in the name of the Lord.
“Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” (Isaiah 6:5). “I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.” (Isaiah 43:15). “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6). The King must be the Holy One, the Creator of Israel, the LORD of hosts. Timothy gives us His identity. “Now unto the King, eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever, Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:17). Some 241
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God will say that Timothy is referring to the Spirit and not to Jesus Christ.
This is because they do not have the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Spirit of God, but only as a human being of flesh and blood. The Person of Jesus Christ is both God as Spirit and flesh as a man. “That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shal shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords.” (1 Timothy 6:14,15). This King is none other than Jesus Christ, the King of Kings. “But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shal tremble, and the nations shal not be able to abide his indignation.” (Jeremiah 10:10). John reveals the identity of the everlasting king at whose wrath the earth shal tremble. “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fal on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shal be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:16,17). This Everlasting King is the Lamb who is Jesus Christ, the true and living God.
“As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and Carmel by the sea, so shal he come.” (Jeremiah 46:18). The King, whose name is Jehovah-Saboath, is declaring that the king of Babylon wil come out of the north and smite Egypt in the time of her visitation. Who is this LORD
of hosts? John tells us. “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.” (Revelation 15:3). The King of the hosts of saints is none other than Jesus Christ. He is the Jehovah-Saboath, the LORD of hosts.
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” (Zechariah 9:9). Who is this King of Zion, the King of Jerusalem?
Matthew tells us. “Al this was done, that is might be fulfil ed which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Zion, 242
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.” (Matthew 21:4,5). Who is the King of Zion according to Matthew? He is none other than Jesus Christ, the King of Zion.
“And the LORD shal be king over al the earth: in that day shal there be one LORD, and his name one.” (Zechariah 14:9). When God sits up His kingdom over al the earth, al wil have this revelation of Jesus Christ as LORD Jehovah, Yahweh, the God Almighty. John again reveals the LORD’s identity. “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them; and I saw the souls of them which were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4). Jesus Christ is the LORD who shal be King over al the earth.
“And it shal come to pass, that every one that is left of al the nations which came against Jerusalem shal even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16). The King, the LORD of hosts, wil set up His throne in Jerusalem and wil rule and reign over al the earth.
He is Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God, The First and Last
“Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations form the beginnings? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.”
(Isaiah 41:4). “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shal there be after me. I even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.” (Isaiah 43:10-12). “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am 243
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6). Certainly Isaiah is recording the LORD as being God, the first and the last, the One and Only God. John reveals the identity of the LORD that is the first and the last. “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last; I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:17,18). Who is “the first and the last” that was dead and is alive for evermore? He is Jesus Christ, the Only God, the First and the Last.
Jesus Christ is God, The I AM
“And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shal say unto them, the God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shal say to me, What is his name?
what shal I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM
hath sent me unto you.” (Exodus 3:13,14). The “I AM THAT I AM”
revealed His name to Moses. “And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” (Exodus 6:3). As stated earlier, JEHOVAH is made up of three Hebrew letters, the “Yod”, the “He”, and the “Vav”. The “Yod” is the Hand of God, the “He” is the Spirit of God, and the “Vav” is the hook that links God to man, the man who is God (referring to God manifested in the Body of His flesh).
This is literal y the meaning of the name “JEHOVAH”. Who is the “I AM THAT I AM, JEHOVAH”? John reveals the “I AM”. “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”
(John 8:58). Jesus Christ is the “I AM THAT I AM, JEHOVAH”. “I said therefore unto you, that ye shal die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shal die in your sins…Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I 244
speak these things.” (John 8:24,28). Notice the “he” is in italics and therefore was not in the original manuscripts, but was inserted by the interpreters for clarification. Thus, Jesus Christ is declaring that He is the “I AM”, “the Father”. “They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.” (John 8:27). Neither do men today understand that Jesus Christ speaks to them that “He is the Father”. Is this revelation of Jesus Christ as the Father necessary for salvation? Jesus declared that anyone that did not know Him as the Father would die or perish in their sins. Are the believers in the Trinitarian doctrine saved who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but not the Father?
“Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shal there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”
(Isaiah 43:10,11). “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and wil not remember thy sins.” (Isaiah 43:25).
Who is the Person of the “I am He” that is the LORD God? John again reveals His identity. “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:18). Jesus Christ is the “I am He” that liveth, that was dead, and is alive for evermore.
Jesus Christ is God the Shepherd
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shal not want.” (Psalms 23:1).
“Give ear, O shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.” (Psalms 80:1).
The LORD is the God that shepherds Israel and dwells between the cherubims of glory. “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalms 100:3). “Behold, the Lord God wil come with strong hand, and his arm shal rule for him: behold his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shal feed his flock like a shepherd: he shal gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, 245
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God and shal gently lead those that are with young.” (Isaiah 40:10,11). “The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.” (Ecclesiastes 12:11).
The Lord God is the One Shepherd who gives the words to the wise as goads and nails to secure our tabernacle. “Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel wil gather him, and keep him as a shepherd doth his flock.” (Jeremiah 31:10). Here again, the LORD God is the Shepherd. “And I wil set up one shepherd over them, and he shal feed them, even my servant David; he shal feed them, and he shal be their shepherd.” (Ezekiel 34:23). “And David my servant shal be king over them; and they al shal have one shepherd: they shal also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shal dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shal dwell therein, even they and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shal be their prince for ever.” (Ezekiel 37:24,25). The One Shepherd in this scripture is of the seed of David, and speaks of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. Zechariah gives us graphic details of the shepherd that shal be wounded as he speaks of the cross of Calvary.
“And one shal say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands?
Then he shal answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shal be scattered: and I wil turn mine hand upon the little ones. And it shal come to pass, that in al the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shal be cut off and die; but the third shal be left therein. And I wil bring the third part through the fire, and wil refine them as silver is refined, and wil try them as gold is tried: they shal call on my name, and I wil hear them: I wil say, It is my people: and they shal say, The LORD is my God.” (Zechariah 13:6-9).
Matthew tells the identity of the Shepherd. “Then saith Jesus unto them, Al ye shal be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I wil smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shal be 246
scattered abroad. But after I am risen again, I wil go before you into Galilee.” (Matthew 26:31). Jesus is saying that He is the Shepherd that shal be smitten, and He is the Shepherd that wil gather His flock after His resurrection.
John reveals the identity of the Shepherd, The LORD God that leads His sheep because He made them. “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shal hear my voice; and there shal be one fold, and one shepherd.” (John 10:11-16). Someone wil undoubtedly state that the Father is not the shepherd, but the shepherd is the Son of God that will give his life on the cross for the sheep. Jesus Christ is the expressed image of the Person of God. And since God is manifest in bodily form as a human being, there remains a revelation as to the Shepherd. He is both the Shepherd (the human body of flesh that embodies God) that wil lay down His life for the sheep; and He is also the Shepherd (the Spirit that is embodied in the flesh) that wil raise the Shepherd (His body of flesh) from the dead. There are not two shepherds al uded to in the above scripture when referring to the Father and the shepherd, but One and the same Person of God.
To expound on the Shepherd, consider the fol owing: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” (John 2:19). Jesus did not say that His Father would raise this temple. What is the temple that Jesus said if they destroyed, He Himself would raise it up in three days? “But he spake of the temple of his body.” (John 2:21). So if the temple Jesus is referring to is His body, the scripture paraphrased, “Jesus answered and said unto them, Crucify this body and in three days the Spirit that I AM wil raise 247
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God my body up”. Jesus could have said “the Father in three days would raise it up”, since He is the Father. But Jesus said, “I wil raise it up”.
This He could say “I wil raise it up” because He is the ful ness of the Spirit of God that wil raise up his body of flesh in the resurrection.
Moses declares, “And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shal no man see me, and live.” (Exodus 33:20). No man could see God and live because God is Holy and cannot look upon sin.
“Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on in iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?” (Habakkuk 1:13). God is Holy, Total y Sacred, Total y Pure, Hal owed, Total y Divine, Total y GOD, Total y Spirit. There is no sin or darkness in God. “that God is light and in him is no darkness at al .” (John 1:5b). “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shal not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galations 5:19). God is Spirit and Holy. Because of this truth, the Spirit and the flesh are contrary to the other. “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” (Galations 5:17). “For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23a). Therefore the sin of Adam brought death upon mankind; and if any man looked upon the Holiness of God, he could not live, but had to die. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon al men, for al have sinned.”
(Romans 5:12). For al have sinned and come short of the glory of God, the whole world then is guilty before God. Then how could man be brought back to fellowship with God, the Creator? Paul tells us.
“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.” (Romans 8:3). By the Son of God being 248
made like sinful flesh of al mankind, he was able to condemn and destroy sin in the body of his flesh by the shedding of his blood through the eternal Spirit, the mighty God in Christ reconciling the world unto himself.
We are promised: “Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shal see God”. (Matthew 5:8). The pure in heart are promised to see God, not as Moses saw the back parts of God. “And I wil take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shal not be seen”.
(Exodus 33:23). But the pure in heart shal see the face of God, which Moses could not see and live. This is a great promise to the believers.
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” (John 1:18). John declares that no man at any time hath seen God, that is, the face of God. But he goes on to say that the only begotten Son, the “Yachiyd”
of God, which is in the bosom (“bosom” from the Greek “kolpos”
meaning the interior or midst; this means that Jesus Christ is in the interior or in the midst of the Father), He hath declared Him. (John 1:18). The office of the Word as the Divine Expression of God; Jesus Christ has declared God. “Declared” is from the Greek “exegeomai”
meaning “to consider out (aloud), i.e. rehearse, unfold, tell”. Paul realized this truth. “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2
Corinthians 4:6). The light of God is Jesus Christ. It is in Jesus Christ alone that men can see God.
Another point in the revelation of Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. Man is made in the image of God, yet man cannot be worshipped as God without being in idolatry. While man is in the image of God, He is not the very visible expressed image of the Person of God; therefore he as a man in the image of God cannot be worshipped as God without being in idolatry. “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness or any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve 249
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” (Exodus 20:4,5). God would visit any image of God that was bowed down to or served, since the person would be in idolatry, not worshipping the true God. Paul attests to the same truth.
“And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God (Spirit) into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 1:23-25). Mankind has changed the glory of the only begotten Son of God into that of an ordinary man rather than the manifestation of God Himself in the Person of Jesus Christ. Most religious organizations on the face of this earth hold Jesus Christ to be only the Second person of the Godhead as the eternal Son, or, someone less than the Father. This portrayal of Christ does not reflect the glory as of the only begotten of the Father ful of grace and truth, but someone less than the Father who is separate and distinct in his person and work. The glory that Jesus manifested to the world was the glory of God, God being incarnate as the Son of God; the Father manifested in flesh as a human being. Jesus Christ is not just a human being of creation, but He is indeed God manifested in flesh. If we worship him only as do the Jehovah Witnesses as a man and not God, then we are worshipping the creation rather than the Creator. The same is true with the Divine flesh proponents who claim the humanity of Jesus Christ was divine rather than human. In fact they are worshipping the flesh as created divinity rather than the Creator who alone is Spirit. The body of Christ is a joint or equal heir with Christ in that we also wil be glorified like unto his glorious body, but we are not equal with or to God. He wil always be worshipped as God, but the body of Christ as the church wil never be worshipped as God. The church is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, not Spirit of his Spirit. Jesus alone is the Spirit of God. The 250
church is one with Him through the Spirit, but the church is not the Spirit of God.
“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding al things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:3). Jesus Christ is the exact expressed image of God as the ful manifestation of the nature of God. The reason we can worhip this image of God and not be in idolatry is because Jesus Christ is the Person of God, very Spirit of God manifested in a body of flesh. He is literal y the Word made flesh. No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, he hath declared Him. God is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the Shepherd that laid down His life for the sheep, and He is the Great Shepherd that wil gather His sheep unto Him forever and ever. Paul declares, “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.” (Hebrews 13:20). And Peter tells us of the Shepherd of the sheep. “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:25). “And when the chief Shepherd shal appear, ye shal receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”
(1 Peter 5:4). Jesus Christ is God the Shepherd.
Jesus Christ is God, the Arm of God
“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1). No one wil dispute the truth that Jesus Christ is the arm of the LORD written about by Isaiah. But let’s gather more information about the arm of the LORD and what He accomplishes in the work of God. “Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I wil bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I wil rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments.”
(Exodus 6:6). “Fear and dread shal fal upon them; by the greatness of 251
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God thine arm they shal be as stil as a stone; til thy people pass over, O
LORD, til thy people pass over, which thou hast purchased.” (Exodus 15:16). Jesus Christ is the Deliverer, the arm of the LORD.
“Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to al that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes.” (Deuteronomy 4:34). “And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.” (Deuteronomy 5:15).
“And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders.” (Deuteronomy 26:8). “Arm” in these referenced scriptures is from the Hebrew “zerowa” meaning “the arm (as stretched out), force, mighty, power, strength”. Mary speaks of God her Saviour. “He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.” (Luke 1:51).
Who is the arm of the LORD? Isaiah tells us that it is the LORD Jesus Christ who hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows.
(Isaiah 53:4a). He is the One who was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. For the transgression of my people was He stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. (Isaiah 53:4b-5). This is none other than Jesus Christ, the Arm of the LORD. “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.” (Jeremiah 17:5).
Some deem Jesus Christ to be only flesh as merely a man, and His true identity not to be the LORD God. To do so is to depart from the LORD God.
Jesus Christ is God who is coming
“Shal the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as 252
when he fought in the day of the battle. And his feet shal stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shal cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shal be a very great val ey; and half of the mountain shal remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shal flee to the val ey of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shal reach unto Azal: yea, ye shal flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shal come, and al the saints with thee.”
(Zechariah 14:3-5). The LORD Jehovah’s feet shal stand upon the Mount of Olives when He comes the second time, and the mountain shal divide into halves. Who is God that wil split the mount of Olives with His feet when He comes and al the saints with Him? Paul tells us.
“To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with al his saints.” (1 Thessalonians 3:13). Jesus Christ is God that is coming to the Mount of Olives with al His saints.
This is the same God that wil come as written by Paul. “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have not hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus wil God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shal not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shal descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shal rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shal be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shal we ever be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). Paul declares that God is the Lord Jesus Christ who wil bring His saints with Him when He comes the second time.
John records that God is coming. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”
253
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God (Revelation 19:11). “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
(Revelation 19:16). Who is this God that is coming to the earth the second time? Matthew tells us. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shal the sun be darkened, and the moon shal not give her light, and the stars shal fal from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shal be shaken: and then shal appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shal al the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shal see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shal send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shal gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 25:29-31).
Jesus Christ is the Only God that is Faithful and True who is KING
OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Titus again tells us. “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
(Titus 2:13). God, the Father is not appearing with His Son Jesus Christ in the air as two separate and distinct persons; but as the One Person of God that He is, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is Priest
Jesus Christ is King, Priest, and Prophet. Now we wil direct our attention upon Him as Priest. To understand the Priesthood of God, we wil set the foundation of the Son of God according to Scripture. It is better to read the entirety of the Scriptures before we enter into exposition. “For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I wil bless thee, and multiplying I wil multiply thee.
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of al strife. Wherein God, wil ing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was 254
impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” (Hebrews 6:13-20).
When man makes a covenant or swears by an oath, he swears by the greater, otherwise the oath wil not be binding. One must make a declaration or promise based on an appeal to a higher power for one to remain faithful to the oath. When God made a covenant with Abraham, there was no one or no object greater than He to bind Himself for the surety to keep the promise and not to lie. “God is not a man that he should lie: neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shal he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shal not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). “Covenant” is from the Hebrew
“beriyth” (in the sense of cutting) meaning “a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh)”. This cutting of flesh in dividing speaks of a blood covenant that is entered into upon the premise of death and the power of the blood. God cannot lie, neither should He repent. But because God was wil ing to show us as believers, the unchanging, perpetual, divine purpose of plan ratified or guaranteed it with an oath.
The oath of surety was ratified by two of His unchangeable Attributes; that He is a God of Truth and cannot lie, and that He is a God that is Faithful. The two immutable things are “Faithful” and
“True”. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war”. (Revelation 19:11). The ones who do not accept his covenant made a surety by Faithful and True, wil be judged by Him who is “Faithful” and “True”.
At this time, let us consider the “oath” which in the Greek is
“kordomosia” meaning “asseveration (emphatic, serious, positive assertion) on oath”. In the Hebrew, “oath” is “shebuwa” from “shaba”
meaning “to be complete, to seven oneself, i.e. swear (as if by repeating 255
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God a declaration seven times)”. There was a well that caused Abraham to reprove Abimelech, because his servants had violently taken the well away. Abraham took seven ewe lambs and gave them to Abimelech as a witness that Abraham had digged this wel . The name of the well Abraham called “Beersheba”, “Well of an oath”, because there they sware both Abraham and Abimelech. (Genesis 21:22-32). This is Jacob’s well that was passed down from Abraham, then to Isaac, then to Jacob. Jesus proclaimed, while at Jacob’s well, that He would give the woman of Samaria “living water”. (John 4:6-11). This was “sheba”
or the “oath” that was sworn seven times over, that it belonged to Abraham and his seed. Thus Jesus had made us heirs since we are Abraham’s seed according to promise. “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29).
This promise of God given to Abraham and to his seed, whose seed we are, was confirmed by an oath in which God sevened Himself with Himself. God did not enter into this covenant based upon Abraham’s attributes or character, but entered into an oath, swearing by Himself since God could swear by no greater. Therefore, the promise is not subject to any man, but only to God since it is He that swears by Himself. The oath of the promise of hope is confirmed by the forerunner which made the “way” into the Holy of Holies within the veil, which is Jesus’ flesh, the embodiment of God. God made the promise by an oath and carried it out by Himself, bringing us a new and living way through the veil, which is his own flesh. The Son of God did not make the promise and confirm it by an oath. God Himself made the promise and confirmed it by an oath within His own two attributes, “Faithful” and “True”. What is the oath? “(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and wil not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.” (Hebrews 7:21,22). Who is God that has entered within the veil by the promise of the oath that He sware by Himself? He is Jesus Christ, made a high priest forever after the order 256
of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 6:20).
The heavenly priesthood of Jesus is different from any earthly Levitical priesthood, because it was made by an oath after the order of Melchisedec, king of Salem. “(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and wil not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:).” (Hebrews 7:21). The priesthood Melchisedec speaks of the Mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. (Colossians 2:2).
God confirmed the promise to Abraham by an oath in which He sware by two unchangeable Attributes, “Faithful” and “True”. Jesus Christ is the “Faithful” and “True”, because in Him dwelleth al the ful ness of the Godhead bodily (in One body).
Once a year, the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to make atonement for the children of Israel because of their sins and transgressions, as well as the tabernacle of the congregation. On the Day of Atonement, the high priest would take of the blood of a bul ock and a goat after entering the Holy of Holies through the veil, and sprinkle it upon and before the mercy seat seven times with His finger. This speaks of the promise of the oath “shaba” meaning “to seven oneself (to sware, by repeating a declaration seven times)”. God
“sevened” Himself by shedding His own blood on Calvary and then purifying not only the sins of the earthly realm, but also the rebellion in the heavenly as well. “It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered unto the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true: but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” (Hebrews 9:23,24).
At first glance, there would appear to be two persons present in the Holy of Holies in heaven, the Father and Jesus Christ. This again brings us to the mystery of Jesus Christ. The office of the Spirit as Father who leads or administrates in al offices of the Spirit, as Son of God is the redemptive office of the Spirit of God. There are not two Persons in heaven, but One Spirit seen in various offices or roles. God 257
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God is the One who made an oath by Himself. He did not seven Himself with the Son of God as the Lamb, neither did He sware by a trinity.
God sware by Himself alone, among His own attributes in His own singular Person. He did not swear by two or three different persons.
“So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” (Hebrews 5:5,6). Melchisedec was made like unto the Son of God. “Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but make like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continual y”. (Hebrews 7:3).
Melchisedec was made like unto the Son of God meaning that he was made after the power of an endless life and an unchangeable priesthood. This was accomplished when God raised the body of flesh from the dead, never to see corruption again in that death wil have no more dominion over him. The only begotten Son of God, “Yachiyd”
(meaning the Son is unique in that He is literal y the permanent dwelling of the Spirit of God in his human body of flesh and blood), is the Embodiment of God. If you believe in God, you must believe in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ being a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec speaks of the exaltation of Jesus as the Son of God to the office of our great High Priest. It speaks of Jesus Christ as being a man exalted after his resurrection as a son over his own house or body as the church having an unchangeable, unending priesthood. Jesus Christ is the great High Priest that ever lives to make intercession for his church and saves his body to the uttermost. Jesus is the minister of the sanctuary and the mediator of a better covenant. Jesus as the great High Priest obtained his more excel ent ministry as mediator of the new covenant through his resurrection and glorification.
Jesus Christ, being a man of flesh being led by the Spirit, the High Priest is cited. “Wherefore in al things, it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the 258
sins of the people”. (Hebrews 2:17). It was necessary for God to be made flesh, or God to be embodied in human flesh in order that Jesus, as a man, would experience the same feelings of the senses as His brethren in order to satisfy the righteous judgment required by God for salvation. The Priesthood of God would be merciful and faithful because the man Christ Jesus learned obedience through the things which he suffered and then died on a cross for the sins of the people.
Moses was a man that was faithful in al his house. But Jesus Christ is the Apostle and High Priest of our profession who was counted worthy of more glory than Moses. “inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house”. (Hebrews 3:3b).
“For every house is builded by some man; but he that built al things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4). Jesus Christ is God who created Moses and therefore has more honour than Moses. This confirms that the man Jesus Christ is not just a mere man, but is truly God in His Person.
Jesus Christ is Prophet
Jesus Christ is King, Priest, and Prophet. Now we wil address Jesus Christ as Prophet. “The LORD thy God wil raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shal hearken; According to al that thou desiredst of the LORD
thy God in Horeb in the day of assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I wil raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and wil put my words in his mouth; and he shal speak unto them al that I shal command him.
And it shal come to pass, that whosoever wil not hearken unto my words which he shal speak in my name, I wil require it of him.”
(Deuteronomy 18:15-19). Who is this Prophet that Moses is referring to that shal be raised up from among their brethren that wil speak the Word of God? Matthew reveals His identity. “And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee”. (Matthew 21:11).
259
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God
“But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.” (Matthew 21:46).
Luke proclaims “And there came a fear on al : and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people”. (Luke 7:16). Jesus referred to Himself as Prophet. “Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day fol owing: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem”. (Luke 13:33). While on their way to Emmaus, Cleopas speaks to Jesus not being aware of His identity. “And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and al the people”. (Luke 24:19). Yes, but is the same Prophet that Moses said in the book of Deuteronomy the same that should come into the world? Luke affirms that Jesus is that Prophet in the preaching of Peter. “For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shal the LORD your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shal ye hear in al things whatsoever he shal say unto you…Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus sent him to bless you, in turning alway every one of you from his iniquities.” (Acts 3:22,26).
Jesus Christ is the Prophet like unto Moses that should come into the world.
Jesus used the designation of a prophet when he called Himself
“Son of man”. “Son of man” is the term used by God in addressing Himself as the “Personification of the Kingdom of God”. “And I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that al people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is and everlasting dominion, which shal not pass away, and his kingdom that which shal not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:13,14). The term “Son of man” refers to the “Person of the Kingdom of God”; the Holy Ghost Personified in human flesh and blood. Jesus Christ is the Prophet of this “prophecy”, i.e. “the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of Prophecy”. “And Jesus saith 260
unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” (Matthew 8:20). “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of palsy), Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.” (Matthew 9:6).
Jesus Christ as Prophet worked miracles as did the prophets of old. He prophesied of wars and rumors of wars, famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places, the events that would befal God’s people in the last days. Jesus prophesied of a time when so called believers would not have the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Father. “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shal put you out of the synagogues; yea, the time cometh, that whosoever kil eth you wil think that he doeth God service. And these things wil they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. But these things have I told you, that when the time shal come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.” (John 16:1-4).
Elijah was a prophet of restoration and raised one from the dead, the widow’s son. (1 Kings 17). Elisha was a prophet of restoration with a double portion of Elijah’s spirit and raised two from the dead: the Shunammite’s son and the dead man that was cast into the sepulcher of Elisha. (2 Kings 4 and 2 Kings 13). There were a total of three people raised from the dead in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ raised three from the dead fol owing suit of the prophets of the Old Testament; i.e. the widow of Nain’s son in Luke 7, Jairus’ daughter in Luke 8, and Lazarus in John 11. Jesus Christ raised Himself from the dead as the seventh person, the “Consummation” of the restoration being number “seven” as God’s number of completion.
Jesus Christ was the “Consummation” of the prophets’ sign of restoration, that being the body raised from the dead, a sign of ultimate restoration to God, Him being “Eternal Life”. Jesus Christ confirmed Himself as the Prophet, raising Himself from the dead, being the firstborn among many brethren, and did not die again, but is alive 261
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 6: Jesus Christ is the Person of God forevermore.
This speaks of the Prophet that should come that would be like unto Moses. The only prophet that God used the term “Son of man”
exclusively when addressing was Ezekiel, the prophet of restoration.
Jesus, as Prophet, wil restore al things to Himself. This is the ministry of reconciliation as written. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, al things are become new. And al things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation”. (2 Corinthians 5:17-19). The epitome of the ministry of reconciliation wil come at the Feast of Ingathering or Feast of Tabernacles in which Jesus wil put in the sickle and reap the last day harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God. “And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” (Revelation 14:15).
Jesus Christ is the King of glory, which is God the Father, the Word of God, the Spirit, the Almighty God. And He is also the Prophet, which is the “Son of man”, the Person of God manifested in flesh, the God incarnate (i.e. God made flesh, [not the second person of the trinity, but God Himself made flesh]), the Vav of Jehovah that links heaven and earth and God and man, God manifest in the flesh.
Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh; i.e. God fashioned as a man.
He is the Prophet that reconciled the world back to Himself. He reconciled mankind back to God.
So the conclusion of the matter, Jesus Christ is a merciful and faithful High Priest; He is the Prophet like unto Moses; and He is the KING OF KINGS; AND LORD OF LORDS. Jesus Christ is the King, Priest, and Prophet that should come into the world to redeem man back to Himself. He is the Kinsmen Redeemer of the seed of David.
It has been the author’s intent to il ustrate the God of the Old 262
Testament is Jesus Christ in the New Testament. The Son of God is not separate from the Father, in that He and the Father are two persons, but Jesus Christ and the Father are One and the Same, God manifested or revealed in flesh. In other words, the Father is the office of Leadership to al other offices of God. It is the Administrative office of God. The Word is the office of Expression, Intellect, Wisdom, Etc. The Holy Ghost is the office of the Spirit form of Jesus Christ. The Son of God is the redemptive office of God as the Spirit manifested in flesh as a man. The Son of man is the Judgment office of God as the Kingdom of God. Al these offices are one and the Same Spirit of God in differing roles and functions.
Al the treasures of the wisdom of God, along with al the treasures of the knowledge of God are in Jesus Christ. Consider, “In whom are hid al the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”.
(Colossians 2:3). This is not earthly or fleshly wisdom and knowledge, but is wisdom and knowledge that pertains to God Himself. Truth is it’s al in Him, Jesus Christ. Jesus speaks of this treasure: “then saith he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old”. (Matthew 13:52). A scribe’s duty was to transcribe the letter of the Torah without adding to or taking away from the Word and speaks of the treasure of the Old Testament. However, the kingdom of heaven, in which Jesus Christ is the sum total, speaks of the treasure of both the Old Testament and the New Testament. A scribe instructed in both Testaments has treasure of things both “new and old”.
The author has endeavored to show some of the treasure of the “Old” along with some of the treasure of the “New”. Bottom line, Jesus Christ is the sum total of al treasure of wisdom and knowledge, the only pertinent treasure of life.

Chapter 7:
Jesus Christ is the
Son of man
265
Chapter 7: Jesus Christ is the Son of man The office of the Son of man is the most ambiguous of al titles used of Jesus Christ. It is the favorite title of Jesus when referring to Himself that He used some 82 times. Jesus spoke of the Son of man in the third person. Many questions have been asked and theories given as to why the Lord Jesus did this in reference to the Son of man designation. For the most part, “son of man” used in the Old Testament simply meant “ben ‘adam” or a son of Adam.89 When God refers to Ezekiel as a “son of man”, He simply is referring to him as a son of Adam. The greatest insight concerning the “Son of man” can be gained from the fol owing Old Testament scripture. “I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that al people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shal not pass away, and his kingdom that which shal not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:13,14). Jesus is not the son of any man or Adam, but is the Son of God. The Son of God is an Adam in that he is natural flesh and blood as a human being of the human race. But Jesus is not the “son” or “ben” of Adam. Jesus is the seed of the woman as Mary’s son according to the flesh, but He is not the Son of any man. The “Son of man” is the Hebrew and Aramaic
“Ke-bar-Enash”, not “Ke-Bar- Enowsh”. “Bar” is Chaldean for “son”
and “enowsh” is “mortal man”, whereas “Ke-Bar-enash” is the “Son of man” as the Head of restored humanity as the Representative Man.
The office of the Spirit in the “Son of man” is the Head of the Kingdom of God as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Referring to the various offices of God, Father is the Administrator and always leads. Son of God is the redemptive office of 89 Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance H120
267
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 7: Jesus Christ is the Son of man God. Son of man therefore has a different role and must be realized as such in order to understand the work of God in ful restoration. Satan, as the serpent, is the representative head of al beasts including man because of the fal of Adam. God therefore became corporeal so that mankind could be restored to the glory that was lost. Jesus is both the
“Ancient of days” in that He alone is God in Spirit. Jesus is also the
“Son of man” which expresses God’s visible state in the glorified man restoring creation back to Himself as Spirit. Here again, there are not two persons, but two offices of the Same Spirit of God being seen in the “Son of man” and the “Ancient of days”. The “Son of man”
comes to the “Ancient of days” in order to receive His kingdom, the Kingdom of God which the Son of man has as an everlasting dominion. Therefore, the “Son of man” office of the Spirit is the Kingdom office of the Spirit of God. It represents total restoration of fal en humanity in a worldwide perspective; a total global Kingdom of God manifested upon earth. This is the office comprising the work of God in the office of the Son of man. God wil put al enemies under the feet of Jesus Christ, and any kingdom that shal not serve him shal be destroyed. Al of us know this, but how wil God perform the doing of it. “The LORD shal send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.” (Psalms 110:2). The people of the earth wil be subjective to Jesus Christ in His kingdom in the day of His power.
The office of the Father as Administrator does not work judgment. “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed al judgment unto the Son.” (John 5:22). Is Jesus referring to the office of the “Son of God” or the office of the “Son of man”? “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.” (John 5:26,27). The office of judgment is not that of the Father, but of the Son of man. Again, there are not two persons, but two offices of the One and Same Spirit of God.
The revelation of the “Son of man” designation is the foundation of the church as the rock on which Jesus Christ builds.
268
This revelation of Jesus Christ as “Son of man”, the “Personification of the Kingdom of God”, is literal y the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and is the power of God to link heaven and earth, God and man. “When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shal not prevail against it. And I wil give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shal be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shal be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew16:13-19).
Jesus Christ as the Son of man is the “I AM” as stated above in scripture by revelation. The Son of man is the Son of the living God, the Christ. Therefore, the offices are quite similar in that the Son of man came to seek and save that which was lost. The Son of God is the redemptive office of the Spirit, whereas the Son of man entails not only redemption, but judgment as well, because He is the Head of restored humanity in the Kingdom of God. The Son of man is given a Kingdom that is worldwide and everlasting. Therefore, the Son of man is the designation of the Kingdom of God as the man Christ Jesus, formerly in his humiliation as the Son of man who would suffer many things and be put to death. “And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be kil ed, and after three days rise again.” (Mark 8:31). The investing of the office of the Kingdom of God is at the Son of man’s exaltation with clouds. “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” (Acts 1:9). The Son of man comes again with clouds. “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shal 269
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 7: Jesus Christ is the Son of man see him, and they also which pierced him: and al kindreds of the earth shal wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:9). The Son of man came in His kingdom at Pentecost. “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shal not taste of death, til they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” (Matthew 16:28). This is the kingdom of God which is the Spirit of Jesus Christ sent unto the body of Christ, the church. The final manifestation of the Kingdom of God is when the Son of man comes to be glorified in his saints. This is the office of the Spirit of God in judgment as the “Son of man”.
Again, there are not two persons of the Father as the “Ancient of days” and the “Son of man” as the glorified Christ crushing Satan’s head when He comes with the clouds of glory. The office of judgment belongs to the “Son of man”, not the Father, for the Father judgeth no man.
Jesus Christ is God the Judge
The Father judges no man, for He has committed al judgment to the Son of man. However, we see that God is the Judge in the fol owing scriptures proving that God is at work in several different offices, but only One and the Same Spirit. Moses records for us, “That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shal not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
(Genesis 18:25). Abraham is pleading with God, the Judge, to spare the righteous souls in Sodom and Gomorrah. “The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.” (Genesis 31:53). “And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.” (Exodus 5:21).
“For the LORD shal judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up or left.” (Deuteronomy 32:36). Jephthah speaking, “Wherefore I 270
have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.” (Judges 11:27). God is the Judge.
“The adversaries of the LORD shal be broken to pieces; out of heaven shal he thunder upon them: The LORD shal judge the ends of the earth; and he shal give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.” (1 Samuel 2:10). Solomon knew God as the Judge in his prayer at the dedication of the temple. “Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.” (1 Kings 8:32). David in his Psalms knows God as the Judge of the earth. “Then shal the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.” (1
Chronicles 16:33). “The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O
LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.” (Psalms 7:8). David knows God as the Judge of mankind. “But the LORD shal endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. And he shal judge the world in righteousness, he shal minister judgment to the people in uprightness.” (Psalms 9:7,8).
Who is the LORD God that wil judge the earth? Matthew tells us.
“When the Son of man shal come in his glory, and al the holy angels with him, then shal he sit upon the throne of glory: And before him shal be gathered al nations: and he shal separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.” (Matthew 25:31,32). The LORD God, the Judge, is Jesus Christ in the office of the Son of man.
“Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shal not slide.” (Psalms 26:1). David again, “Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me”. (Psalms 35:24).
“Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O
deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.” (Psalms 43:1). Is this Judge a trinity that wil bring judgment by themselves? David proclaims, “And the heavens shal declare his righteousness: for God is 271
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 7: Jesus Christ is the Son of man judge himself. Selah.” (Psalms 50:6). God is Judge Himself, not themselves. Who is He, the Judge of the earth? John tells us. “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed al judgment unto the Son: That al men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father.
He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him”. (John 5:22,23). The office of the Spirit as Father does not judge, but has committed al judgment to the office of the Son of man.
Again, this does not represent two Persons in the Godhead, but two offices of roles of the One and Same Spirit of God. The Son again is the “Yachiyd” or the “only begotten” which is the permanent dwelling or housing of the Spirit of God in Jesus Christ. “But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” (Psalms 75:7). “Arise, O
God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit al nations.” (Psalms 82:8).
Who is God the Judge that wil inherit al nations? “O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.” (Psalms 94:1,2). Who is this God of vengeance that is Judge of the earth? John plainly shows his identity, “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shal rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” (Revelation 19:15). This is none other than the “Son of man” Jesus Christ, The Word of God.
“Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shal be established that it shal not be moved: he shal judge the people righteously.” (Psalsm 96:10). “Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shal judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.” (Pslams 96:13). “Before the LORD; for the cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shal he judge the world, and the people with equity.” (Psalms 98:9). “He shal judge among the heathen, he shal fil the places with the dead bodies; he shal wound the heads over many countries.” (Psalms 110:6). “For the LORD wil judge his people, and he wil repent himself concerning his servants.” (Psalms 135:14). “I said in mine 272
heart, God shal judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.” (Ecclesiastes 3:17). Who is this that wil judge the righteous and the wicked? Luke tells us in his account of Peter’s message to the house of Cornelius. “And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.”
(Acts 10:42). Peter claims the Judge to be Jesus Christ in the office of the Son of man who wil judge the living and the dead.
“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he wil save us.” (Isaiah 33:22). “Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shal proceed from me, and I wil make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shal judge the people; the isles shal wait upon me, and on mine arm shal they trust.” (Isaiah 51:4,5). Ezekiel sees the same Judge as Isaiah.
“Now is the end come upon thee, and I wil send mine anger upon thee, and wil judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee al thine abominations.” (Ezekiel 7:3). “Now wil I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I wil judge thee according to thy ways, and wil recompense thee for al thing abominations.” (Ezekiel 7:8). Who is the LORD that is King that wil make His judgment for a light of the people and be for the salvation of His people? Luke tells us in his account of Paul preaching on Mar’s hil in Athens. “Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he wil judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto al men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” (Acts 17:31). The assurance of judgment wil be vindicated upon those who have not judged righteously, but have ignored His supremacy and government.
The Father (Jesus as the Spirit of God) wil assert His right of judgment by the Son of man (the Father or Spirit in the exalted man) Christ Jesus. He is none other than Jesus Christ, the LORD that is King of Kings, who wil judge the earth.
“Ye shal fal by the sword; I wil judge you in the border of 273
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 7: Jesus Christ is the Son of man Israel; and ye shal know that I am the LORD. This city shal not be your caldron, neither shal ye be the flesh in the midst thereof; but I will judge you in the border of Israel.” (Ezekiel 11:10,11). “And I wil judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I wil give thee blood in fury and jealousy.” (Ezekiel 16:38).
“Therefore I wil judge you O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from al your transgressions; so iniquity shal not be your ruin.” (Ezekiel 18:30).
Who is the Lord God that wil judge the house of Israel? Paul tells us of his identity. “In the day when God shal judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” (Romans 2:16). This is the office of the Son of man. The quick or the living shal be judged at the judgment seat or “bema” of Christ as written by Paul. “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shal al stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”
(Romans 14:10). The Judge is plainly Jesus Christ.
“Shal I cause it to return into his sheath? I wil judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.” (Ezekiel 21:30). “Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I wil judge you every one after his ways.” (Ezekiel 33:20). “And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I wil judge between cattle, between the rams and the he goats.” (Ezekiel 34:17).
“Therefore thus saith the Lord God unto them; Behold, I, even I, wil judge between the fat cattle and the lean cattle.” (Ezekiel 34:20).
“Therefore wil I save my flock, and they shal no more be a prey; and I wil judge between cattle and cattle.” (Ezekiel 34:22). Who is the Lord God, the judge? Paul tells us. “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both wil bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and wil make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shal every man have praise of God.” (1 Corinthians 4:5). The Lord that wil come is the Lord Jesus Christ that wil judge the hearts of al men.
“Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the val ey of Jehoshaphat: for there wil I sit to judge al the heathen round about.”
274
(Joel 3:12). “And he shal judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shal beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shal not lift up a sword against nation, neither shal they learn war any more.” (Micah 4:3). Who is the God that wil judge al the heathen round about in the valley of Jehoshaphat? Timothy tells us. “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shal judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom.” (2 Timothy 4:1). This is the Kingdom of God in the office of the Son of man. “Who shal give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.” (1 Peter 4:5). The Judge is the Lord Jesus Christ.
And the final judgment in which God sits on a great white throne. “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. and I saw the dead, smal and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened: which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (Revelation 20:11,12). If you do not have the revelation of Jesus Christ, you wil have a problem with the above scriptures. God, the Judge, is on his great white throne, not in the office of the Son of God, but God. But the fol owing New Testament scriptures depict Jesus Christ as the Judge of the quick and the dead. “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed al judgment unto the Son.” (John 5:22). It is the glorified Jesus Christ that is the Judge according to Matthew as the Son of man. “When the Son of man shal come in his glory, and al the holy angels with him, then shal he sit upon the throne of his glory.”
(Matthew 25:31). Paul declares that Jesus Christ is the Judge when addressing the Athenians. “Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he wil judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto al men, in that he hath raised him from the dead”. (Acts 17:31). “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shal judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom.” (2 Timothy 4:1).
275
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 7: Jesus Christ is the Son of man It definitely is God, who is on His great white throne for the final judgment. For one who does not have the revelation of Jesus Christ, there is an apparent difficulty in that the New Testament declares Jesus Christ to be the Judge, and John in the Revelation declares that the Lord God, the Ancient of days is the Judge, on his great white throne.
The answer simply is that God the Judge is Jesus Christ, the Person of Almighty God.
276
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 8:
Trinity vs. Twoness vs.
Oneness Doctrines
277
Chapter 8: Trinity vs. Twoness vs. Oneness Doctrines Trinity doctrine states that God is a unity of three divine persons being the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost that are co-equal and co-existent. Two-ness doctrine states that God is made of two divine persons being the Father or the Holy Ghost being the same person, and the Son who is a separate Person. Both of these doctrines hold that the Son of God is “God the Son”. This “Everlasting Son” is deemed to be a separate person of God that was with the Father in the beginning before the foundation of the world. The basic difference between the trinity and the two-ness doctrines is that the trinity holds that the Holy Ghost is a separate and distinct person from the person of the Father and the person of the Son, while the Two-ness believe that the Father and the Holy Ghost are the same Person, with the Everlasting Son being a different Person.
Oneness vs. Jesus Only
Oneness doctrine states that the Son of God is the God-man.
According to the United Pentecostal Church and I quote “Jesus” is supposed to have been God while walking on the water, but a man when being weary with his journey; thus switching between God and man in the days of his flesh as the Son of God.
The Son of God is God manifest in the flesh. The Son of man designation is the Life which is the Light, the Word of God that was sent from heaven. God sent forth His son not by speaking to a second Person as God Jr., but sent His Word. How? In the fulness of time, God sent forth His son made of a woman, made in under the law.
Jesus was not the son of any earthly man; therefore, the Son of man that came down from heaven is not divine flesh, but is the Word sent forth into the world made flesh.
279
The Errors of the Trinity Chapter 8: Trinity vs. Twoness vs. Oneness Doctrines The primary difference between Oneness doctrine and the true Jesus Only doctrine is that Jesus Christ is not a glorified man of flesh and bone sitting on the right hand of God now making intercession for the church. Oneness doctrine states that Jesus Christ, the man who had the Spirit of God without measure is stil in glorification a man sitting at the right hand of God making intercession for the believers.
Jesus Only doctrine states that the man Christ Jesus in glorification is the quickening spirit; not the quickening spiritual man who has the Spirit of God stil in Christ reconciling the world. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. Now Christ is God, the Son of God being crucified being made both Lord and Christ. “Therefore let al the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” (Acts 2:36). Al power in heaven and earth given to him. (Matthew 28:18). That did not leave the Father powerless, for Jesus the Son of God was glorified with the Father’s own self. (John 17:5). Oneness does not believe that Jesus, the man, went to the glory of the Father; but that the man Christ Jesus in glorification stil works intercession as a man having God as Spirit working in the glorified man as our intercessor.
It is true that the man Christ Jesus is our intercessor who is sit at the right hand of God. However, the man is Spirit. Please examine the next two scriptures. “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea Father, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34). Now, let’s see who is this intercessor who is our mediator. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” (Romans 8:26). It is the Spirit, not the spiritual man making intercession for the believers. Just as Jesus stated in John when he said “At that day ye shal ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I wil pray the Father for you:” (John 16:26).
Why not ask the Father for the believers? Because Jesus came out from God as the Word and went back to the Father. He did not go beside the Father, He went to the Father glorified with the Father’s own self.
280
(John 17:5). Oneness believes that Jesus as the mediator is stil a glorified man having the Father as God in him reconciling the world to Himself. We as the body of Christ are now in Christ’s stead with the ministry of reconciliation.
Consider John’s statement in The Revelation. “To him that overcometh wil I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
(Revelation 3:21). We as the body of Christ are made to sit down in heavenly places in Christ; the place Jesus prepared for us. However, when did Jesus go? He went back to the Father, the quickening Spirit.
“Even as I overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
There is a vast difference between “sit” and “set”. “Sit” is the place Jesus prepared for us as his body, he being the head. However, “set” is the “settled” state of glory when Jesus “set” down with the Father in his throne; al power being given to him being made both Lord and Christ. Christ in his humiliation is the man. Christ in his glorification is the God, the Spirit.
The Jesus Only doctrine states that Jesus Christ is the One Spirit of God that works or manifests Himself in and through different offices or roles in order to accomplish God’s wil and purpose. The Father whose name is Jesus is the office of Administrator and leads al other offices. Word is the office of Jesus Christ that is the divine Expression of Himself in Word, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, etc. as we see in Proverbs 8 when speaking of Wisdom as a Person.
Holy Ghost is the office of Jesus Christ that pertains to His Spirit role or form in His Person comprised of Spirit and flesh. Son of God is the office of Jesus Christ in Redemption. This is the reason the Holy Ghost whose name is Jesus could not be given until Jesus ascended back to heaven. Son of man is the office of Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
