CHAPTER 4

BE PREPARED AND READY

Thought Questions: If Jesus did not abolish His Ten Commandments nor change His seventh-day Sabbath to another day, why do so many professed Christians worship on Sunday, the first day of the week, instead of the seventh day of the week Saturday? Does it really matter which day of the week we honor and worship God? Does Satan have a counterfeit Sabbath?

The Christian church of Jesus worshiped and kept holy the seventh-day Sabbath. There was no confusion of which day was the Sabbath among Christians. However, what did Satan do to cause confusion and who did he use? The Bible gives us the answers.

In this section of the study, entitled “The Mark of the Beast Crisis,” you are going to get answers to the previous thought questions and learn more about why you must be loyal to God’s true Sabbath in these last days of Earth’s history. You will learn how the Sabbath relates to the “Mark of the Beast” that is revealed in Revelation chapter 14. You will learn the difference between the “Mark of God” and the “Mark of the Beast”.

This section of the Bible study will be a very enlightening and powerful study straight from the Word of God. Make sure you sincerely pray and ask God for deeper understanding of His Word before you move on to the next section of the study.

In the mark of the beast crisis, Satan as a snake moves almost without notice to deceive billions of people to reject God’s truth and embrace his destructive lies. In John 10:10 Jesus says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus clearly exposes Satan’s main purpose in life. Satan does not care what nationality you are, if you are rich or poor, young, or old. His main objective is to steal your peace and happiness, and to take your life. He wants you lost for eternity with no hope of living with Jesus in the Heavenly kingdom. Jesus Christ came not only to give you life, but to give you a more abundant life that you can get only through Him. This more abundant life is the wonderful gift of salvation that leads to eternal life! This is a promise that you must freely accept and hold on to. God is not a respecter of persons. All, including you, are offered this great gift. Jesus says in John 3:16, 17, 16“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” Will you take this gift of eternal life? Hold on to it tightly! Don’t let Satan steal this gift from you with his deceptions, lies, and threats. Time is extremely short. The mark of the beast crisis is upon us!

What amazing promise is given to those who believe and live by EVERY WORD of Jesus Christ?

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17

16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with

them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Hebrews 9:28 - “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

John 14:1-3, 27

1 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

James 5:7-8

7 “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”

Jesus will fulfill His promise. He is coming again soon to take His faithful ones to live with Him throughout the ceaseless time of eternity. Sin will be no more; “affliction shall not rise up the second time” according to Nahum 1:9. There will be no more pain, misery, or death! Please, don’t let Satan steal this away from you! Hold on to God’s truth and salvation. Hold on and don’t let go! Even though the mark of the beast crisis is upon us and this world is about to experience a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, Jesus is telling His people, “Don’t be troubled and stressed out, remember the promise, I am coming again to receive you unto Myself. Be prepared.” You must be prepared and ready. You don’t have to be caught off guard. This study is designed to reveal the truth of the seventh-day Sabbath and its importance, and to prepare you for the mark of the beast crisis.

What does Jesus instruct you to do to be prepared for His second coming and not swept away by the mark of the beast crisis and the time of trouble?

Luke 21:33-36

33 “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

Matthew 24:42-44

42 “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Matthew 25:13 - Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Mark 13:33 - “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”

Mark 13:35-37

35 “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”

Watch, watch, watch, pray, pray, pray, and be ready. This is Jesus’ urgent plea to His people. The Greek word for “watch” means to “keep awake” according to the Strong’s Greek Dictionary. We all must take heed to this urgent call from Jesus Himself. We cannot afford for one moment to be asleep spiritually. It is by continuing in Christ by prayer, studying of God’s Word and Bible prophecies, and obeying and sharing His Word that keeps you awake. This is not the time to be drunk with the cares, worries, and deceptions of Satan in this life. Satan is serving a cocktail mixture of truth and error to the whole world that is designed to make all people drunk and sleepy. Are you sleep?

If you are sleep, spiritually, what is the Bible telling you to do now? Romans 13:11-14

11 “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering [cohabitation] and wantonness [out of control, lust], not in strife and envying.

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

It’s time to wake up, watch, pray, and study God’s Word so you can be ready. This is not the time to waste in useless entertainment and activities. We must fight, fight, fight with the mighty arm of God. You cannot stay awake in this spiritual battle against Satan unless you have let go of every sin and sinful activities. You MUST cast off the works of darkness and put on the whole armor of Jesus Christ in order to fight and have total victory over sin. Ephesians 6:11–13 says, 11“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” The “wiles of the devil” are Satan’s deceptions that he will constantly throw at you. If you fail to have the whole armor on; the belt of truth, shield of faith, breastplate of righteousness, gospel shoes of peace, helmet of salvation, the sword of God’s Word, and praying always according to Ephesians 6:14-18, it will literally be impossible for you to make it through the final crisis. You will be swept away by Satan’s cunning devises. The Word of God and prayer are the only offensive weapons that you can use to aggressively fight against the Devil. It’s study and prayer time. It’s time to pray and study God’s Word like you never studied it before. We are living in a time where you need to cancel all your worldly entertainments, cable, movies, and satellite dish channels and spend more time in prayer and God’s Word.

As you continue in this study, continually pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you to all Bible truth and give you understanding of His Word and the mark of the beast crisis. The mark of the beast crisis is right upon us and many do not even know what it is even though the Bible speaks about it. Are you ready?

The true seventh-day Sabbath that was established by God at Creation points to the true Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ. It reveals true worship and exposes false worship. Satan hates all the truths of God’s Word, especially the commandments of God and even more specifically the seventh-day Sabbath. Continue to study.
