CHAPTER 5

WARNING & DETECTOR OF TRUTH!

What warning does Jesus give His faithful people in the last days concerning the Devil’s hatred?

Revelation 12:12 - “...Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

The Devil, also known as Satan, knows that his days are numbered and that his time will soon come to an end. His goal is to deceive the world away from the worship of the true God of heaven to himself. Satan wants the whole world to be in rebellion against God and be lost.

What will Satan do to the faithful people of God in the last days who keep ALL the commandments of God, including the seventh-day Sabbath?

Revelation 12:17 - “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

According to Revelation 12:9, the dragon is Satan. The woman represents God’s true church according to Isaiah 54:5, 6; Ephesians 5:23-32; and 2 Corinthians 11:2. “Remnant” means the remaining ones. The remnant in the last days are the ones who are the faithful few who live by ALL the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. They are obedient to God’s holy seventh-day Sabbath. Satan hates the remnant with a passion and attacks them with all out war with intense persecution. God’s remnant people expose the lies of Satan with the truth of God’s Word and their true Christian example.

Remember, truly keeping the seventh-day Sabbath holy reveals who you are loyal to, the God of Heaven by loving and obeying Him, or Satan through the keeping of man’s traditions that directly conflict with God’s Word. Satan greatly hates the true seventh-day Sabbath and he will intensify his attacks on it and those who keep it as we get closer to the end of time.

What warnings does the Bible give about how Satan will attack God’s true worship?

2 Peter 2:1-3

1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

Acts 20:29, 30

29 “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”

Matthew 7:15 - “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

Matthew 24:11 - “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

Matthew 24:24 - “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

Based on all the scriptures you just read, Satan uses professed Christians or religious organizations, claiming to be ministers of Bible truth, to directly attack God’s truth including the seventh-day Sabbath. Many hide their true motives to get money, power, and influence, and feed their covetous lust. Many are deceived themselves and are deceiving others as revealed in 2 Timothy 3:13 - But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. This has already happened in the past. It is happening now, and will only intensify as we get closer and closer to the end of time. This is the reason why it is critically important that you study the Word of God for yourself so you can distinguish truth from error. A false minister or preacher will not tell you he or she is false! Satan’s false ministers are not that obvious. What makes them so deceptive is that they mix truth and error, but God gives us a tool that reveals who is true and who is false, the Holy Bible.

The Holy Bible is the detector of truth and error. 1 John 4:1 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try [test] the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” You should NEVER accept any religious doctrine or action unless you first test it based on the Word of God. You do not have to be ignorant in knowing the difference between Bible truth and error. 1 John 4:6 says, “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.” Don’t be confused, let the Bible be your truth and error detective.

What clearly reveals that a minister, church, or ministry is true or false?

Isaiah 8:20 - “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

All true ministers, churches, and ministries are obedient to ALL of God’s Ten Commandments including the seventh-day Sabbath and have the testimonies of Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation. Isaiah 8:20 makes it clear if any minister, church, or ministry does not teach ALL the commandments of God and the testimonies of Jesus they are not true. If anyone claims the righteousness of Christ but rejects the seventh-day Sabbath and teach others to reject it also, the Bible says that there is NO LIGHT in them. The Bible has exposed them as false. As you can see, Isaiah 8:20 is a simple, powerful, and text that you want to commit to memory.

What should you do if you are supporting a minister, or part of a church that the Bible in Isaiah 8:20 exposes as false?

1 Timothy 6:5 - “Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”

2 Timothy 3:5 - “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

2 Thessalonians 3:14 - “And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.”

Revelation 18:4 - “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

2 Corinthians 6:14 - “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

Amos 3:3 - “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

The Bible is straight forward. There is no room for compromise. The Bible reveals that if you are supporting a minister or are a part of a church organization that is not following ALL of God’s Word, ALL His commandments including the seventh-day Sabbath, withdraw yourself and support. Pray and find a minister or church group that is following ALL of God’s Word, His Ten Commandments, and seventh-day Sabbath. Why is this critical? Your salvation depends on it. If you follow those who are blind with no light, what does that make you? Blind with no light. Jesus says in Luke 6:39, “And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?” The blind cannot lead the blind without falling.

If you truly are loyal to God, how must you worship Him?

John 4:23, 24

23 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Psalm 119:151 - “Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.”

John 16:13 - “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

The Holy Spirit will guide us into ALL truth. He will guide us to God’s commandments because they are true. Those who truly worship God must keep ALL the commandments of God, including the seventh-day Sabbath! If you are not, you are not worshiping God in truth. 1 John 3:18 says, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” Talk is cheap, but action is gold. 1 John 2:4 says, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

Remember what Revelation 22:14 says, “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” All those who will enter in the kingdom of God are loyal to Christ and obedient to ALL of His commandments. God will not have disobedience in Heaven. We must learn to obey Him now.

Who are those who will not make it into the kingdom of God?

Revelation 22:15 - “For without are dogs [impure mind], and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and
