Murmuring and Complaining

Murmuring means: To complain in low mumbling tones; grumble. A mumbled or private expression of discontent.

Complaining means: Expressing dissatisfaction of resentment; find fault. (Sign of Being Ungrateful)

What the Bible says about murmuring and complaining.

Philippians 2:14-16 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

1 Corinthians 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

John 6:43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

For a Non-Christian murmuring and complaining comes natural. But for us who are saved these things should always be un-natural. I know there are times where we all may complain, and not be content with things in our life. But if we would just always keep our eyes on our Lord and Savior, and God's word, instead of things of this world. We would then become more and more thankful and content with things in our life.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
