Chapter sixteen
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
If you look at the back of every book, you would probably see a write-up about the author. Every book has an author, just like you have a creator. God is the author and finisher of our lives. Indeed, he made a great book of us and he realized that he had done a perfect job in you. There’s something about your author that stands you ahead of your peers. Think about it. You have God as your author, the maker of Heaven and Earth and everything that they contain.
God is the absolute essence of life. Everything rotates around Him and with Him. By His word, the whole world was created and His word the system of the world stands. The Earth hangs in space by his word and every essence of life is anchored in his love. As you tend your little life towards his purpose, God wants you to know he indeed made a great book of you. He authored your book. You were not part of the creation process and you did not know how. You were formless and void and he made you out of dust. He perfected you and made you an epitome of his grace.
How can one describe this Author? From the foundations of the world, he had been. He modeled and shaped all that is seen and unseen and he championed the cause of nature. He is known as Omniscience, knowing all and having all knowledge. He understands the substance of his love and appreciates the privilege you are giving him of championing your cause. Moses knew Him as the Great I am that I am. Undisputedly, no one could measure and can measure up to his standard and level. His name is Jehovah, the almighty and all knowing. None is like him, the ancient of days, the great and only God.
It is a rare privilege, you having God as the author of your life. What a special book you are. God is looking down with pride knowing that he had perfected a readable classic. All around you is the glory of God, a perfection non-quantified. Smile, for indeed your author God has written every dot and every title. Remember what was said about God’s book i.e. the Bible, it was perfected. God is perfecting His Glory in you. He is finishing his work and like the Bible you are a holy creature.
In heaven, this great author sits majestically looking over the great books already written. And guess what? You are part of those great books. You are just living chapter 1. There is still many chapters to live in. and the greatest author had finished the book. How sweet it is to know that many more unread chapters are available. Every day is a sentence in that book. And the great author smiles as He sees you live out that Book.
Thank God you have a great author in him. And you know that you are indeed a perfect book.
