Chapter XXVIII.
Christophe and Kitty move from Jacksonville, Florida to Gulf Shores West, Alabama on Monday, May 19, 2036. They leave Jacksonville at noon that Monday, and arrive in Gulf Shores West five hours later. Kitty is flanked by a moving truck in tow.
Eric takes the day off work in order to help his parents move. He drives down from Bay Minette, Alabama to assist.
The men in charge of moving carry out the majority of the muscle work. Eric, Christophe and Kitty just place things where they need to go properly in the new home.
It takes the group three hours to do the bulk of the unpacking. Eric decides to spend the night at his parent’s new stilt-house. He calls his wife, Andrea, to tell her he cannot make the entire drive back to Bay Minette, Alabama that evening.
Eric requests a second day off; he calls into the Mobile Police Department Headquarters. His request is granted. Eric, Kitty and Christophe eat dinner at Crico’s Pizza & Subs that night.
The next day, after Eric has returned home to Bay Minette, Kitty asks Christophe, “Wasn’t it thoughtful for Eric to come down to help us, as he did?” Christophe responds, “Yes, of course. I am sure Andrea is a very proud wife right now.”
Kitty and Christophe make love in bed together, conversing. Kitty has on her black, Octavia Satin Chemise, from the night before.
Christophe says, “Look at us? We just moved in and we are behaving more wildly than we did when we were kids!”
Kitty utters, “Isn’t this fantastic?” Christophe utters, “I must agree!” They continue making love, on a beautiful, radiant Tuesday morning.
