Would you like teaching, or making art? Or are you passionate about a particular political cause?

You’ll know you’re meant to excel in something when you feel this irresistible urge in you to do it. Sometimes it’s a strong, passionate feeling to dedicate your entire life to that something.

List all down all your passions, your talents or abilities, and make a plan how you’ll earn income tapping into them.

2. Work experience.

 

The wisdom or specific knowledge you’ve acquired from years of work is valuable. Many jobs require experience, and employers will be more willing to hire you at a higher salary if you come to them with experience.

Work experience isn’t a static thing. It needs to be constantly added to in order for it to be of any value. You have to practice what you know, not only to keep yourself sharp, but to educate yourself on new ideas in your field as you work.

Education is also another way of adding to experience. By getting a college or master’s degree, for instance, you elevate your mindset and gain a better understanding of both past and present work experiences.

3. Stock of ideas.

 

Make it a habit to write down every idea you have which can probably be used as a means of earning a living. Describe each idea in detail in a journal. It can be the storyline to a possible novel or lyrics to a song; or, it may be an entire line of
