A Sister In Need
It was eight-thirty as the taxi drove off leaving Dave standing by the restaurant looking saddened. I heard my mobile ringtone go off and saw ’Emma’ on the display screen.
“Hey sis, you OK?” I said answering the phone. All I heard were sobs, which made me slightly panic.
“Emma, what’s wrong? Where are you?” “I’m…I’m not ss..sure.”
I heard more crying.
“Well have a look around, what do you see?” “Erm…hang on.”
I held the mobile away from my lips.
“Excuse me driver, could you pull up? We might need to go another way.”
“Sure miss, no problem,” The driver said in a full on Glaswegian accent.
