of led. I felt terrified of being disappointed. OK, I told myself, rip off the bandaid, you just gotta do this. I took a deep breath, walked the last steps, closed my eyes just as I entered the fourth room. Then I looked up, and as I opened my eyes I saw a man looking up from the bed in the middle of the room. A man with dark, semi short and wavy hair, clear blue eyes, small dimples, one more dominant than the other, a kind face and recognition in his expression.

“Hi,” I said, all my anxiety falling away from me. “Hi,” he said, and I knew that voice, I knew his smell, I

knew all of him.

“Alex…It’s you,” he continued.

His eyes tearing up as mine did the same, and then I ran to his side. It had all been real. I don’t know how and I can’t explain it anymore than I can count the stars of the universe, but we were real, we are real and this is where our story begins in this world.
