He texted back straight away. ’Great! See you later.’ I got up and made myself some breakfast, a little healthier this morning, some cereal with chopped up

banana and a cup of herbal tea. I put the radio on and sat there thinking about what I was going to wear. I didn't feel nervous, I felt more like I was meeting up with a friend, but that was a nice feeling too.

I took a shower and had a good long look in my wardrobe. I finally decided on a pair of tight fitted jeans and a black blouse that I teamed up with a colourful long necklace and bracelet. I didn't want to be too dressed up since it was just coffee and I didn't know how into him I was or would be, so I decided that low key was best.

The time passed and I literally tried to stay away from my bedroom. I knew that I would be drawn to the painting and I knew it was ridiculous, so when I was done I sat myself in front of the TV and watched some daytime telly. There wasn't much on but I went with a re-run of American Idol. Funny how so many people just wanted fame, and funny how some people were totally tone deaf.

By the time I'd watched one show it was time to go. I hadn't seen Lisa yet, I'd only heard her moving about in her room, so I knocked gently on her door.

“Lisa, hun? I'm on my way out, see you later OK?” “OK,” I heard her say with a tired voice. “See you later

roomie.”

“See you later! Bye,” I said and walked out the door, grabbing my jacket and scarf on the way out.
