“Well Alex, this was nice, really nice, we should do it again soon.” We both stood up. “Can I call you?”

“Yeah, sure, that would be nice,” I replied smiling. We walked to the door.

“So see you on Friday?” he asked. “Yeah, Bannerman's was it?”

“Yes. But I'll be in touch,” he said and kissed me on the cheek. He had to bend down a bit because he was so tall. We had a last look and then I turned away and started walking. The sun was out and I was in a good mood, so I decided to ditch the bus and walk home instead.

 

By the time I got home it was half past five. Lisa was sitting curled up by the TV, dressed in her pajamas and wrapped up in a black blanket. She looked tired and a bit sad.

“Hey Lisa, you OK?” She looked up.

“Hi hun, yeah I'm fine, just need a cosy day on the couch. Tomorrow I'll be back to life again, just hate Mr Tattoos.”

“Ah, so we're nicknaming him now are we.”

“Sure, we can call him that, or looser, or fart face, you know, whatever takes your fancy really.” She was trying to joke but her sadness was shining through.

“Awh hun, do you want me to make you a cup of tea?” “Yes please.” She looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

“And could you bring some chocolate biscuits too?” I smiled.

“You can have anything you like sweetie.”

Being hurt sucked, so it was my turn to care for my roommate and friend.

I came back to the living room with a couple of large
