The painting

 

I walked through the front door of my flat with wet legs and feet. My umbrella had managed to keep the upper half of my body from drowning in the rain that had decided to give Edinburgh a good wash. I went into my room and got changed into a pair of cosy pink trousers, a white top and woollen socks. I went to the kitchen and was pouring myself a hot cup of tea as I heard the door open and saw that it was Lisa coming home with a couple of carrier bags that smelled like curry? Oh please, be curry take away for two, I wasn’t in much of a mood to cook.

“Hey Alex, you are gonna love me,” she said dragging out the word ’love’. “I got us both curry take out, hope you’re hungry.”
