Chapter 12

 

A coincidence

 

I had desperately tried to fall back asleep after waking up at five that morning but it just hadn’t happened. Besides doing the relaxing technique, I’d tried warm milk, listening to relaxing piano music and visualising waterfalls, all of which I had heard should help you sleep but none had worked. The mugger had kept popping up in my head leaving me feeling uneasy and anxious.

At seven I had given up on the idea of trying to fall back asleep and went for a shower instead. It meant I had plenty of time to get ready for work. I washed my body thoroughly, but I couldn’t seem to wash off the feeling the mugger had given me, no matter how much I scrubbed.

But the dream with Peter had been amazing and as I focused on that, I felt better. I got myself a nice healthy breakfast, some fresh fruit with yoghurt and a cup of
