Baraka chuckled as he took the card. “I hope you find them.”
Daniel stood. “I know forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future. I’m really sorry, bro.”
“It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend,” Baraka said.
Daniel lighted off his cigar, staring at Baraka. Baraka extended his hand, showing him the door.
Daniel walked out of the building and entered his car. Tough days were coming, and perhaps he had to face them alone. The V8 drove away.
