Chapter I.
My story begins with the meeting of Eketerina Pasternak and Xavier Baum in West Lafayette, and Erica Brauer and Anton Hirsch in Chicago.
Eketerina Pasternak meets Xavier Baum on the campus of Purdue University, West Lafayette, in 1966.
Erica Sabrina Brauer meets Anton Hirsch at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in 1968.
Eketerina graduates from Northwestern University in 1968, with a bachelor of science degree in Journalism. She takes her G.R.E. in 1967, and begins her Master’s Degree program in Media Communications in the fall of 1968.
Eketerina earns her M.A. in Media Communications in 1970, from Northwestern University, Evanston.
Xavier graduates from Northwestern University in 1968, with a bachelor science degree in Mechanical Engineering, with an M.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1970.
Xavier and Eketerina are married on Saturday, June 13, 1970, at the Lutheran Church of the Atonement, in Barrington, Illinois.
Eketerina wears a white, Defined Sweetheart A-Line Gown by Allure.
On Saturday, June 13, 1970, the newly married couple dine at Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Chicago, and stays at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Chicago.
On their wedding night, at the Chicago Waldorf Astoria Hotel, they make love like a newly married couple should.
Eketerina was feeling shimmers down her spine and her long, sexy legs. Eketerina wore her expensive black La Perla lingerie.
Xavier ran his long fingers through Eketerina’s long, black hair, and nibbled up and down her divine neck.
The following morning, they check out of the Waldorf Astoria, and take a taxi to O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
From O’Hare they take a United Airlines jet to John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), and from JFK, they fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), or Roissy Airport, for a five day, six night honeymoon.
In Paris, they stay at the Park Hyatt Paris - Vendrome, and frequent the Eiffel Tower, Musee du Louvre, the Musee d’Orsay, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens, Sainte-Chapelle, River Seine, and Arc de Triumphe.
They dine at the Seb’on, Epicure, Pur’-Jean-Francois Rouquette, Cobea, Le Cinq, Sacree Fleur, Bateau le Calife and OKA.
Following the honeymoon of Xavier and Eketerina, the couple resides in Oak Park, Illinois for two years. Once they are able to find more affluent positions in Indianapolis, they move to Carmel, Indiana.
In 1971, Xavier takes an engineering position with Allison Transmissions. That same year, Eketerina takes a position with The Indianapolis Star, as a Content Coach.
