Chapter II.
In 1974, Eketerina Pasternak Baum and Xavier Christophe Baum announce the conception of their one and only child; a daughter by the name of Katherine Pasternak Baum.
On May 20, 1975, Katherine Baum is born at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Katherine lives her entire childhood and teenage years in Carmel, Indiana. She graduates from Park Tudor (Upper School), in 1993. From grades 1-8, Kate attends Park Tudor Lower School and Middle School.
During the spring of 1992, Kate sends her S.A.T. scores to Purdue University, Duke University, and Northwestern University.
Kate is accepted to all three schools, but chooses Purdue University, West Lafayette. Katherine chooses pre-law/political science as her major, upon her acceptance.
In August of 1993, she begins her freshman year at Purdue University. Kate moves into Hillenbrand Hall.
