Chapter 30: Recruitment

Kam next met with Martha having her look at the list. She marked those that were not part of the gang as far as she knew. She had not seen or talked to any of them, after her daughter infected them. Her husband handled it. Kam thinks Tim, Cassie, and Martha would be a decent group to deal with these couples.

Kam asked, "are you willing to come with me to suggest they join us?"

She thinks real hard before saying, "if you think it will help."

Kam responds, "it may not help, but at least they know we are serious about helping them."

He has Chris and the bus driver move a normal ten person van to the second parking lot in Madison. He will drive there with the passengers in the secure van. They will switch there to the normal to go pick up Tim in Lincoln, follow by going to Manchester.

He also needs to clear Tim to spend time traveling. His mom is the boss for everything kid related. She is also reasonable. While Tim does not know it, Kam had a long talk with his mom. She hates the fact he is no longer human, but understands life goes on. She accepts Kam helping him through this trying life shift.

He states, "there are some more werebears hiding in Manchester, five married couples. I would like Tim to be one of those that try to convince them to join us. There are twenty troubled ones that would actively recruit them into drug dealing.

"We will spend two nights in Hooksett to make sure we have a decent amount of time with them all. I am sure we can squeeze in a couple of field trips to museums to justify it to your husband."

She replies, "I can make that work."

Kam states, "I will collect him around noon tomorrow."

He proceeds to make call to three museum that his company sponsors to get a list of possible private group showing. These can  be any reasonable time, ignoring the museum's hours. He pays the guides rate, plus twenty-five percent to the museum, and the exclusive per person entrance fee of triple the normal one. They redirect the regular visitors so his group has the room or area to themselves.

He could join the crowd with five friends for free due to his ten thousand yearly donation every day. But, why not get the whole treatment. It is a legitimate business expense and it impresses the peons immensely.

He leaves messages for the five couples stating they won a guided museum tour for one of the three museums and the one of three most expensive restaurants in the city. There is no cost to you and you will not be asked to spend any money. You can even do it separately. There are six possible times, but the first to grab the time selects the museum and meal location. Others can attend that pre-selected combo or chose a different unique time slot.
