The objective is to induce reciprocating motion to a mechanical bar element using the expansion of suitable gases or gaseous mixtures and thus use this bar to actuate a time measuring device of an ordinary mechanical type. Moreover, sunlight is to be used as an energy source in the larger part of the day in southern countries and desert regions.
