Chapter 10

Getting Started

The first and most difficult step is to start doing something. Trying and failing is better than not trying at all.

The hardest part for most people is to take action. It is usually because you are unsure of what action to take. I cannot tell you exactly what to do now as it is different for everybody.

Take a look at your goal again.

Is your goal to travel around the world? If so, you may need to start selling your stuff and paying off your debt. Is your goal to spend every weekend on the lake? If so, you may need to create another income stream, so you can buy a boat.

You are never too old or too young to start working on your dream.

Fraser Doherty started making jams at age 14. He quit school at the age of 16, so he could run his business full- time. I am not saying kids should quit school. This is just an example.

Colonel Sanders started KFC when he was 65 years old. If they can do it, you can too.

I do not have a whole lot to say on this chapter. The point of the chapter is to get out and do something.
