You want to be a phenomenon? Let’s begin from here. Those who are phenomenal understand that they have an attracting aura around them. They see themselves as light creating warmth and brightness to people that come around them. They don’t stay around dark places. They dislike the dark side of life understanding that wherever they find darkness, they have to light it up.

Your voyage to a phenomenal life has to begin with you understanding that you are a light that has to shine. The light in you is so tremendous that a single beam can change the face of a hopeless dark landscape. At this moment, this extraordinary capability is enveloped in a case of metallic covering that has absorbed all the light that you are capable of giving out. This covering makes you content with where you are (the metallic case) and makes you see no need to brighten others other than yourself.

If you visit a lighthouse, you will appreciate the beauty of light’s significance. The lights in our home may just be great for our enclosed rooms but its significance is most up there at the lighthouse, what we call a beacon. Lighthouses guide mariners during traffic on the sea at night. Their intense light is often visible from a distance of over a hundred miles due to the height of the lighthouses enabling mariners crisscross the oceans and river ways without fear. These lighthouses are phenomenal saving countless lives that could have gone under water.

The life of a phenomenon captures the eccentrics of the shining beacon which releases beams of hope to travelers as they make their way over the waters of the world. The world is filled with troublous turbulent waters with persons facing dark times that require your warm hands of encouragement, support and care. They want to know they can count on you. They are looking out for you at this their darkest critical moments.

The phenomenal life begins with some service. You have to give out some light. Position yourself to be a resource from which other persons will run to for help. The more you serve people, the more you attract them towards you, and the more dependent on your light they become and soon they will always depend on you for that important service in their life. Phenomenons are dependable people you can count on to deliver the goods. They have been tested time and again and have being certified dependable.

How to make your light shine

No one wants to come down hit by ocean craters so they need light that’s bright enough. If they find you a dependable hand, they sure will come running for that rush of inspiration that you can provide. But

• First, you have to agree with yourself that you are currently in a box that’s metal lined.
• That though you have a light just as everyone has, you are not shining.
• Recognize that every phenomenon the world has celebrated had this metal lined casing around their light that they had to break away from.
• Take decisive steps to break the box.

How do you go about breaking the box?

The box is a hypothetical covering that limits our capacity to spring forth into the world. They are the limiting factors we place as shields or are placed by others, which we have accepted as hindrance to our shining forth.

• Recognize you can do much more than what you are doing now. Sometimes, because we love our comfort zone where we are currently, we close our eyes to the opportunities that present themselves outside our comfort zone. The electric bulb, which provides illumination in our rooms, can do much greater work on a beacon.
• Get the right tools. To break a metal casing is no mince job. However, with the right tools, it is uhuru. It could be herculean trying a use a stone to break a metal casing. A stone may do the job but it would be exhausting and time taking as compared to a sledgehammer. Cutting the metal casing off with an ethyl flame is a faster option than the use of a sledgehammer. What’s the right tool? Do the things that expose your talent most. If you can write, write. If you can speak, speak. Get the right book in your chosen area of expertise from those you can consider as Phenomenons in your chosen field.
• Discover your originality.  As much as you may read from established people who have had their share of the phenomenal stage, the phenomenal you have to be an original. Develop the you that is in you. It’s your light you are trying to let shine not some other persons’.
• Share your originality. You may be an original but the rest of the world will have no idea you’ve got all that great phenomenal stuff in your head except you let them have a view. That’s why the beacon is up there on the tower and not down on the sands of the river or ocean bank.
• Be rightly positioned. If you have to shine and be seen, you have to be in the right place where you are most needed and most useful.

The understanding that comes with your knowledge that you are light is tremendous. There is so much light in you that’s enough to mold you into a phenomenon but the phenomenal you will not be until your light affects lives around you and beyond. You aren’t the one giving the grades. Those persons you are affecting are the ones to baffle at how you affect their life phenomenally.

You are having a massive truth in your hands right now. The summary is, if you want to be a phenomenon, affect lives, and affect them in the most phenomenal way you can offer. You are on the first stone to being a phenomenon as you shine out your light.
