Interview with A Ghost
Jillian woke up feeling chilly and cold, when she opened her eyes there was greyish, whitish mist floating all around her, her name was being called over and over by a man’s voice. It was a cold, and foggy out and it was in the middle of the night. All of sudden she was in pain, her and and back hurt. She could definitely feel something, and it was trying to get her attention. William took all his energy grabbed her gently and shook her awake. She thought she dreaming so she woke herself up out of the dream. Her dream felt so real she felt like someone had been in the room with her. She sat up and a saw a note left by her bed written in pen. “I’m Monty and I need your help”. Who was Monty and what happened to him, she said thinking aloud. She turned on the light and pulled out her laptop, and searched for the named Monty, without a last name and more details it was going to be hard to narrow her search; just then something was nagging at her like it was trying to tell her something, so she looked up stabbings in Lyonstown, New Jersey and an article came up about a recent stabbing that just happened a week ago. A man named Monty Xander was home alone when he was bludgeoned on his head and then stabbed to death it was robbery gone wrong. Oh no, poor Monty, Jillian said to herself, no wonder why he can’t find peace, poor thing died tragically and doesn’t even know he’s dead. About a week later
Jillian Ann was on her way to work she just had an interview for Paranormal News and Articles Inc. about a week ago and she just got hired as writer. Her favorite thing to write about was anything paranormal, that was going to be the name of her new column. It was almost eight o’clock and Ann was running late and seemed to be hitting every traffic light. She quickly called her boss to let her know she was on her way and she was running late, luckily her boss was flexible. She pulled into the news building parking lot and parked her car grabbed her purse and her gear and walked into the building ready to start her new job, she walked into her office and sat down at her desk. Already she could feel a presence with her following her. She grabbed her notebook and pen. “Ok, Monty I know you’re here and what happened to you, I’m so sorry, do you know you’re dead? He looked at her confused, what? I’m sorry you were hit on the head and then stabbed in your apartment by some robber the police said it was a robbery gone wrong. Oh no, Monty said looking sad, what of my wife what happened to her? I don’t know Jillian Monty answered smiling trying to offer her comfort. She pulled up the article again and read it to Monty, his wife Mariann was at work when it happened and came home to find you dead. Oh no, Monty I’m so so very sorry. It’s ok he said not your fault did they find the guy that did this to me and is my wife safe? I don’t know, I wish I knew more, Jillian said. No, it’s ok Monty said thank you for your help. Look I’m here because I need justice for what happened to me and in order for me to move on and I need to get a message to my wife, will help me to that Jillian? Yes, Monty I’ll do my best. In order for you to bring my killer to justice I need you to interview me so I can remember what happened. Ok Jillian replied. “Jillian pulled out her notepad and pencil and began, “What’s your name? I’m Monty Xander, I was born and raised in the city with my wife Mariann and live at 25550 Elmont Avenue Apartment B. My wife and I were married for fifteen years. I used to work as a store manager at Wal-Mart. I’m the only child and both of my parents are gone; I was raised by my aunt and uncle. I’m 30 years old, my sixteen-year anniversary would have been on July 23rd Do you remember the last thing that happened to you? I think so but things are a bit blurry. Start off with what you can Jillian said, ok I remember it was my day off and I was just getting out of the shower and went to grab a cup of coffee and the next thing I behind and there’s a man wearing a ski mask and hit me over the head with something, what was it, Jillian asked? Not sure, Monty said trying to remember, ok listen sit back and relax close your eyes and go to that day what do you see? I see a man in ski mask searching my house for something but know what, ok good now what? I come out of the shower, but his back is turned, and he doesn’t see me yet, he keeps searching and turning the house upside down. What does he find Monty? Money, he’s looking for money. He turns and sees me and picks up a bookend and hits me over the head, I fall screaming out and fall to the floor and I’m knocked unconscious, before I fall the ground I pull off his ski mask and he’s tall with black hair, green eyes, his hands are rough and callused he sees me fall he grabs a knife, he was 30-40 years of age. I tried to fight him off but I going in and out of consciousness, I try to bite and kick him he’s much stronger than me and he flips me over and stabs me over and over. He stood there and watched me die as I bled out and then left like nothing ever happened. I watched myself float out of my body and I saw my wife come, she screamed at the sight of me and broke down and cried. Also, Monty added he was careless and left the knife on the floor, you need to go get it and turn into the police, he hid the knife and police overlooked it. There is a spare key hidden in the hallway under a dog statue, it’s hidden under a sticker under it. Oh Monty, Jillian said, I couldn’t be sorrier she said crying. Go and find him Jillian and bring me peace and for my wife so I can move on, I will Monty.” Just like that Monty was gone. Jillian looked at what she wrote and began to sob for this ghost who she was so desperately trying to help. She gained her composure and pulled the internet and hacked into the police database and searched for a tall on man with black hair, green eyes, and in his 30s-to 40s, there he was he popped up he was arrested for attempted robbery and assault with a weapon, his was Xander Michael and previously arrested but recently broke out of prison was at large. She printed out the article and the picture, she took her lunch break drove down Monty’s apartment, told the doorman she was friend of Monty’s wife and was checking in the place for her while she was at work. The doorman accepted what she said and let her up, since the break in they upped security in Monty’s building. She walked up a short flight of stairs to where Monty’s apartment looked for the key under the dog statue and unlocked the door and was careful not to touch anything, she grabbed a plastic bag and carefully picked up the knife and put into her bag, she felt an evil presence, it felt heavy and dark, she pulled out her sage from her bag lit it and cast out the negative spirit and said a blessing over the apartment, after she was done she’s placed the key back under the statue and left and headed to the police station where she’d talk to her friend. She pulled into the police station and parked grabbed her bag and went and and asked the secretary for Officer Reed Harper, after awhile he came and greeted his friend and told her to come on back. He closed the office door where they began to talk, “ Reed I need your help with something, you see a friend of mine was murdered and he needs my help catching the killer, he was murder by a man who was tall, black hair, green eyes, he had callused hands, and is in his 30s-40s. She pulled out a picture and the article she printed off, and also, I have an inside lead about a knife that the police overlooked during the investigation. How did you get this knife Jillian, Reed asked firmly? My inside lead told me where it was that’s all I can say about it, Jillian answered. If you want to help you, you need to be straight with me. Look Reed if I tell you, you probably won’t believe me. Try me Reed said, I’ve known you for a long time and I trust you with my life. Okay she replied, my lead is a ghost and he saw his killer, he even told me where to find the knife that was left behind and where to the key to his apartment was. He wants me to find justice for him and his wife so he can move on. The guy’s name is Xander Michael and he was previously arrested for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon and now he’s broke out of prison and at large and I’m afraid that this guy’s wife is in danger. Reed looks at his friend he shakes his head at her, ok I believe you, give me what you have and I’ll take of it, I’ll run the knife through evidence to see what we get, ok I’ll back to you as soon as I get the results back.” Jillian hugged her friend and thanked him for his help, with they said goodbye. Jillian left and went back to work and she went straight to her office she finds Monty pacing the floor, “hello Monty Jillian said smiling, how are you? A mess he said, what did you find, did you find the knife, did you find out who killed me? Yes, I did your killer’s name is Xander Michael and he’s been previously arrested for attempted robbery and assault of a deadly weapon and went to prison but recently broke out and now is at large. I have a friend at the police station who is working on it as we speak. Thank you, Jillian, thank you for your help so far, Monty replied with a small smile. You’re welcome Monty. I’m doing my best, after being in your apartment I felt a dark, evil, presence in your apartment so I blessed it for you and your wife, that evil presence was binding you to your apartment, now you can move freely if you choose and when you’re ready to move on you can.” For the first time Monty hugged Jillian and she could feel his warm presence surround her it felt nice and peaceful. With that Monty was gone again. About a week later Reed calls Jillian about the knife she’d found and what the results were, Jillian came home from work to find her apartment a mess, she heard someone in her back room searching for something, Jillian quietly grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter, she snuck to the back room, here it was the killer he was searching for his missing knife he left behind. He saw Jillian and lunged at her, she screamed and try stab her attacker, they fight, they’re on the floor struggling, Monty hearing his new friend in distress he comes to her rescue, he grabbed the killer with all his energy and through him against the wall, the killer hit with a loud thud!! While her attacker is down, she texts Reed, “HELP!” Before the police came the attacker got up and ran out of the apartment scared to death and ranting. The police come and Jillian told them everything that had happened. Reed had pulled Jillian aside and told him about the results and how they were going arrest him and how he’s been hiding out in a downtown abandoned factory. After the police took her statement they left and went to arrest Monty’s killer. After about an hour searching and looking, they found hiding and he put up a fight, he stabbed and killed at least five police officers and the remaining five arrested him at gun point. They drug him out kicking and screaming while the whole time he was in custody he ranted of a ghost grabbing him and throwing him against the wall over and over and over. Monty was close by and was overlooking everything making sure his killer was arrested and after a week his killer went to trial was arrested and put in jail for the rest of his life with no bail and was sentenced to killed by lethal injection. Monty was extremely happy and gave her one last message to tell his wife before he moved on. “Jillian I want you to tell my wife this, tell her I’m sorry for leaving her so soon and that I love her more than anyone, and tell her it’s ok for her to move on and be happy and I’m ok, will you tell her for me? Of course, I will she said.” He hung around Jillian’s apartment while she went to go see Monty’s wife Mariann, the door recognized Jillian and let her right up, Jillian went to the door and knocked. Mariann opened the door and was surprised to see someone at her door. “Hi, Mariann you don’t know me but I’m a good friend of your husband and I have a message for you, you might want to sit down for this, Mariann invited her in for tea and they sat down and talked. Jillian placed her hand on top of hers and said, “Monty has a message for you he told to tell you this, said I’m sorry for leaving you so soon and that he loves you more than anyone, and tell you it’s ok for you to move on and be happy and Monty wants you to know he’s ok, and that now you both have justice, Monty’s killer was caught and he was sentenced to die by lethal injection and that you’re finally safe. Thank you so much for this message, and I already knew Monty was watching over me this whole time, I have a sense about these things you know she said through her tears, I also felt an evil presence here as well but I no longer feel it. I took care of that for you Mariann, I wanted you to be safe and give Monty a peace of mind. Mariann placed her hand on top of Jillian’s and said thank you for everything. You’re very welcome.” Both of the ladies heard a sigh of relief then it was quiet, Jillian thanked Mariann for tea and hugged her new friend. She went down to car, and as she got into her car, she heard Monty say, “thank you”, and with that Monty went into the light and moved on. The next day Jillian woke up to go work she saw an angel cloud in the sky, and she knew it was Monty watching over her always, she waved goodbye to Monty. She went to work and went to desk and got to work she wanted to write a story and present to her new boss, so she have it approved to put into her column. She pulled out her notes and looked her interview with Monty. She began writing Monty Xander was 30 years old, he was married for fifteen years to the love of his life Mariann Xander, Monty lived, grew up, and worked in Lyonsville, New Jersey where he was recently murdered in his home by a man who was named Xander Michael, he broke into the Xander home killing Monty while his wife was at work, apparently it had been a robbery gone wrong. The killer had been previously arrested for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon and he broke into my apartment trying to kill Jillian Ann for what she knew and had on him, due to an unknown lead the case the killer was found and arrested put in prison and sentenced to death by lethal injection. The wife Mariann Xander was told about her husband’s justice and was released from the safety of police watch. Jillian Ann is known for being a hero and taking lead action and helping with the Xander Michael case, she’s being honored with a medal downtown in front of the courthouse. Now Jillian is not only a column writer for Paranormal News and Articles Inc. She’s now apart of the police force where she helps in cases, as a medium and Jillian’s story made not only in Paranormal News and Articles, but it also made the front page of the news. Jillian will never forget Monty and his story; it touched her heart deeply to this day she thinks about him and cries every so often.
