Indonesia is the most Muslim populated country in the world, we still honor and respect any other religions though. Maulid Nabi Ceremony is when Indonesians celebrating the birth of Nabi Muhammad SAW. It’s been celebrated for generations, in some places such as Keritak Village, Zed, Simpang Katis, Sinar Baru, Kemuja, it’s even more glorious than Eid al-Fitr.
If you are invited to one of the locals’ house on this sacred day, don’t forget to dress up politely and you will feel the warmth and joy as you are certainly welcomed.
