2. Select Cut from the Edit menu or press [Ctrl]-[X].
The notes are now removed from the score and put in an invisible place called the Clipboard. Below we describe how to put notes that are on the clipboard into the score.
2. Select Copy from the Edit menu or press [Ctrl]-[C].
A copy of the notes is made, and put in an invisible place called the Clipboard. Below we describe how to put notes on the clipboard back into the score.
1. Make one staff active.
2. Set the Song Pointer to the position where you want the first note to appear.
3. Select Paste from the Edit menu or press [Ctrl]-[V].
The notes are Pasted in, beginning at the Song Position. If the Cut or Copied notes come from different staves, they will be Pasted into their original staves. Otherwise, the notes are put in on the active staff. They keep the pitch and relative positions they had when you Cut or Copied them.
If you have notes or other score objects that you want to copy, you can also use drag and drop for this. This method allows you to use the computer desktop as one big Clipboard with multiple entries!
1. Make sure you have an empty section of the desktop visible.
2. Select the notes you want to copy.
3. Drag them to the desktop.
A Part file is created, with the name of the currently edited Part. If you drag several objects out of the same Part, the file names will be separated by numbers. You may want to rename the Parts if you intend to keep them a longer time.
5. Drag the Part file into the score and drop it at the desired position.
If you are editing several Tracks, make sure that the correct Staff is selected.
