One moment, Shirley Brown is in Los Angeles playing the game with her best friend Phyllis Johnson. It’s a cool Saturday morning, and it’s the last time they will ever play it. The next moment, she’s gasping for air. She awakens as a clap of thunder roars overhead. She’s standing beside her bed. Not the bed in Los Angeles, the one in Copper Springs, Oklahoma.
