Adama of Telos: Hearing Your Intuition

Me: Hi, Adama! Wow! Here we are again this week!

A: I would like to respond to the question you are mulling in your head on how to use your intuition.

Me: Okay! Great!

A: You're correct when you think that the student of intuition should ask themselves. Period. They should ask themselves because first of all, so many of you ask others what they think. First, ask yourselves. And the more you're in the habit of going inside for your opinion or an answer, or you ask of yourself to know something, the more your intuitive muscles will be flexed!

Me: True.

A: If need be, take a period of isolation away from others and spend time with yourself. Take one weekend to be alone so that you'll get in the habit of asking yourself the answers.

Me: Good idea!

A: So many of you aren't isolated enough to begin using your intuition with your technology always available to you. You are always connected to others, who you can ask. So stop this, even for a weekend. Try some meditation as well. Sit quietly and let your mind chatter all it wants to. Just know that there is a higher dimensional being listening to the chatter and observing. When you understand this intellectually first, it's easier to make a breakthrough to become that observer.

Me: Good point!

A: You are the observer, not the chattering mind. You've been misled to believe otherwise.

Me: So the chattering mind dies when the body dies, and so there is peace in death.

A: Death of the body only, not of the soul. There is always peace in the soul. You can access this in life as well. There's no need to wait till death.

Me: So asking yourself to initiate intuition should be practised.

A: Yes, and raising one's vibration as high as possible. You're all higher energy beings, all the lightworkers are, so that should be easy enough to access when you sit still and listen to what's inside of you. Yes, it's a still world, a calming pond, but with messages and truth. Going inside your higher being is a wonderful journey.

Me: So other questions we might ask would be like, “What do you think?” “What do you feel?” “How do you feel about this?” “What does your gut say?” For the beginner it's probably best to become as quiet as possible, to quiet the mind down.

A: Yes, but your people know about their “gut feelings.” They do. They call it that and that's one way the intuition has been allowed to be heard throughout all of the attempts to drown it out. The other way you've been taught to trust your intuition is to pick up on your first thoughts and feelings about something. It can be very quick and will interject itself just before the rational mind will begin to play its messages based on your beliefs.

The intuition isn't based on your belief system – it's based on the truth. And it might contradict your beliefs so then people tend to dismiss it. But then they get a nagging feeling. That's another thing in your western society that you're used to calling it. A nagging feeling.

You've been using your intuition all along. You also say that “you just knew – somehow I knew!” and that's also your intuition.

To gain confidence in your abilities, sit and think of times you knew someone else was incorrect because your gut told you so. Think of times you just knew something to be right but you couldn't explain it. Think of times you knew you had to do something and to do something else would be wrong. Those are examples of your people listening to their intuition. Thankfully, it's not dead for many.

Me: Oh! Very good, thanks Adama.

A: And perhaps the rational mind gets in the way and you make a mistake. Just keep trying. Persist and you'll get better at it. You won't start off perfectly.

There are other ways your higher self, which is your intuition, will try to get a message across. There are tokens you might see. Feathers. Money on the floor. These all mean things and can be related back to whatever problem you're trying to solve. It can also be the presence of the deceased around you who are trying to communicate as well. Feathers often mean angels. They understand what symbols you associate with them and they will work with that.

Me: What symbol would the higher self associate with themselves?

A: It depends on the person. You understand your totem to be a panther, so for you it is cats.

Me: I see cats all the time, I even live with one.

A: So that's symbolic of your living with your higher self.

Me: He thinks he is! LOL

A: He's also an alpha so that's also a symbol. Life talks to you. There are signs everywhere to help you and to show you and to affirm to you.

Me: I guess you guys understand that we're kind of deaf dumb and blind, eh?

A: (smiling) We work with you to the best of our abilities.

Me: I keep seeing a cat on my bed. It's bigger than my cat and I can see its outlines, not any color.

A: So the message you'd derive from seeing that cat is perhaps to turn inward. What was going on at the time and how were you responding? The cat would be a sign from your higher self.

Me: She usually just yells at me. A bit louder than her normal voice because I can hear her.

A: If your mind is too busy...

Me: Yeah, true. I can drown her out. So best to stay as peaceful as possible.

A: Yes. The intuitive side is the right side of the brain, which correlates to the parasympathetic nervous system, and this system is triggered by relaxation and creates a peaceful mind.

So, for the intuitive learner, strive to be peaceful, relax more, ask yourself more often for your own opinion. You'll hear your intellect but you'll start to hear your intuition behind it. The quieter voice.

Me: Thanks Adama!

A: You're so welcome.
