A Point of View with Grant McGaugh and Mike Kim Brand Master (Mike): Yeah, sure. So the way I look at partnerships spatially is as follows. You partner up, you collaborate across, and then you mentor around yourself.
So when I look at a partner up, that's a situation where I have more to gain than they do. So I've got to come in and humble myself. I've got to bring something, even though it's less than they've got—something unique and valuable to the table so that we'll work together. When I look at a collaborative cross, I look at many of my colleagues, peers, and friends.
Some of us are a little further along than others, but we're generally still in the same league. You know, you might be a terrible NBA team, but you're still one of the, you know, 200 best basketball players on the planet. Right? You're in the same league. Okay? And those are people I'm friends with. We do events together.
We speak at each other's events. My friends came through when I had my book launch going, and that's what drove it to bestseller status; I mean, you've got to build relationships like that and the way you do that. By ensuring your friends understand what you do, your friends also appreciate your value, right?
